Dr. Tjon has been my dentist for over 10 years. He offers leading edge technology with empathy, caring service. I love it I can get my crowns on the spot with his Cerac system. Recently I took my very elder mother in law to get a tooth pulled. She was amazed and pleased how much care he took with her not to just give her a numbing agent and yank the tooth, but gently little by little removing it. I highly recommend Dr. Tjon. Find another dentist!! Loyalty gets you nowhere here. I was a patient of Dr. Hars 20 years ago and then Dr. Tjon for a decade thereafter. Always excellent work, but after I disputed a charge, they asked me to find another dentist. Is this how a business treats a loyal customer? I called and asked to speak to Dr. Tjon, but they would not allow me to speak with him. I sent emails that were never answered as well. They refused to give me a reason why I could no longer book appointments for myself and my children. When I had a cracked tooth, I pleaded to be seen. Debbie said I had a balance to be paid, so I paid the disputed amount. After making an appointment, I received a phone call that Dr. Tjon asked me to find another dentist. I've never in my life been treated so badly and rudely. This was very unprofessional and I definitely would not recommend. read more

What an Incredible office. From the warm greeting up front by Debbie, the friendly dental assistants, easy to talk to hygienists, and of course the very thorough and gentle Dr. Tjon; I LOVE THIS PLACE. I am pregnant and they were very understanding of not being able to take x-rays and they still took me as a new patient. They did a very comprehensive oral exam and checked all my margins and all that dentistry stuff, including photos and charting the work I've had done before. From there, Dr. Tjon filled me in on how frequently pregnant woman should come in, the reasons why, and how good my oral hygiene looked. He sent me over to the hygienist afterwords, I wish I could remember her name and the dental assistant because both of them were AMAZING! I felt no pain throughout the cleaning and we had a great conversation! I personally love going to the dentist, but if you are a nervous nelly, I HIGHLY recommend coming here. The staff is so friendly that it doesn't feel like a chore to come, it feels like catching up with friends. (And it was only my first visit!) I've been a patient of Dr. Tjon for years. He never does work that isn't necessary and the work that he does is EXCELLENT. I recently cracked a tooth and the first thing I said was "if anyone can save my tooth, Dr. Tjon can." And he did! He tried the most conservative and inexpensive route first and if that doesn't work he'll try other options. If I had gone to another dentist I'm pretty sure I would have ended up with a crown. I was recently visiting my sister in Mission Viejo when I had the bad luck to break a tooth. After telling me how much she likes her dentist, Dr.Tjon, she called his office and they were kind enough to fit me in their busy schedule that day. Dr. Tjon fixed my broken tooth in a couple of hours with a perfect Cerec onlay. A computer is used to scan the broken tooth and make a digital impression. Dr. Tjon then uses a software program with a design tool to draw in the missing piece of tooth, and a computerized milling unit grinds a new tooth. Really cool! And the cost was very reasonable. He is a gentle dentist, and both the local anesthetic and procedure were painless. I would recommend Dr. Tjon and his staff wholeheartedly! read more

I just became a new patient of Dr. Tjons. I've never meet a dental staff more knowledgeable. Even the dental cleaner cleaning my teeth was able to tell so much about my brushing habits just from cleaning my teeth, and gave me lots of new education on the "new" way of taking care of your teeth. They also gave me a recommendation on what electric toothbrush to use. Dr. Tjon is the most personable person. He took the time to meet me and look at my teeth, and just creates such a relaxing atmosphere in a place that none of us really look forward to going to. I am a caregiver for a 100 plus/ year young lady, who's son has chosen this dentist for his mother. I have taken her to his office twice and have found he and his staff to be the kindest, most gentle and most professional staff I have ever dealt with. I am in my 60s and have had extensive dental work done myself that has added up into the thousands of dollars, how I wish I had gone to this office back then. Dr. Tjon has gone out of his way and seen her on as little as one day notice. Unheard of in this day and age. We live in Oceanside and prefer to drive to Dr. Tjon's office rather than someone closer. Clean. Wonderful caring staff. My entire visit was professional and caring from the moment I walked in until I left. I walked in off the street the day before because my tooth was hurting so bad I was almost in tears. I thought I had cracked it. Debbie and Barbara took my information and fit me in the next day. Dr. Tjon was also caring and explained, in detail, what the issue may be. He analyzed the x-rays, performed different procedures on my teeth, and was so sweet. He has up to date technology which I love, It was actually the tooth next to what I thought was the problem. And - he believed that it may have only been bruised, but not 100% sure. He said he was leaving on his once a year vacation with his family, and gave me his cellphone number to call him while he was on vacation if the pain worsened! Barbara and Debbie also stated that if I left a message, they would get back to me. Now that is old school service at its best. And PS - Dr. Tjon also sent my x-rays to my Florida dentist so that he could be apprised of the situation. This is as good as it gets. read more
