The crown jewel being their Liberty Playground which is great for toddlers to preteens. Swimming pool for kids and adults....look great although I haven't benefited from it. The walking areas connecting all the above to independence branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library are paved with lush green grass and colorful floral arrangements with a lot of attention owing laid to landscaping. The Elmwood pond within the grounds of the park is a serene place to sit by. I've had the pleasure of visiting there many times with family, a generation up and also a generation down. We all love sitting there, chatting, snacking,in a peaceful environment in awe of the ducks, geese and if we're lucky, seeing the blue herons that come by there.

I was in the area from Pittsburgh and was looking for an outdoor activity for my 7 year old. Found…read morethis playground online and really loved that it was made for kids of all abilities. The space is set very nicely - with areas for parents to sit that are shady or sunny. The activities are impressive, as the little (big) buildings for the kids to play in really allow for them to use their imaginations to play. Great to see a playground have both the physical activities and imagination type of activities. We really enjoyed it and will return when we're in the area again. The only negative, which doesn't really reduce my rating at all, nor does it keep the kids from having fun, is the fact that some areas do need some repair work. This is why it's important to leave a donation on your way out, if you're able. Hopefully this park can be maintained for years to come!

It's located behind Westgate Mall and seems to be the place to go if you're into baseball as they have 5 baseball fields and a concession stand. They also have a playground, soccer field, and basketball court; all of which people were using. I'd say this is very active well used park. A paved walking trail can be found here that gets you throughout most of the park, but more like a U shaped perimeter path than a full circle around though. They also have restrooms, a picnic shelter, a water fountain, and plenty of parking. A busy but nice park; I would visit again.

I actually like the field overall but the service we get for adult leagues is pure garbage. They NEVER work on the field anything more than they need to. If you get rain it's just a rain out, when a little diamond dry, a rake and effort would easily make it playable. We end up moving games that day which can be very inconvenient but shows other fields will work a little. Think they forget that every team is a paying customer.

This park is in the Clark-Fulton neighbourhood of Cleveland just west of the Tremont neighbourhood…read more I visited in early August 2019 for Cleveland's 51st Annual Puerto Rican Festival and Parade. PARK -- It is a small and average park. They have some slides, swings, and other things for kids to play on in the little playground area. There are some benches to sit around in too but not alot. EVENTS -- The Puerto Rican Festival was a ton of fun so I can imagine that many events are held here at this park. If you plan to have a big event, such as over 1000 people, then choose another venue for your event space since this park will be too tight. I wondered why the Puerto Rican festival was not held at a much bigger outdoor space. This is a family friendly park just like any other park so come and visit. Be sure to bring a hat if you visit during the summer months. The park was clean when I visited. **** - 117 total reviews in 2019 - 326 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 20 August 2019

There's walking paths, well paved and maintained, LOTS of benches in different locations, a really cool play area, and a little sand strip. The signs say no swimming, but there's usually someone in the water - there's no life guard, and you can sit on the big rocks or directly on the sand. Parking is a bit tricky. There are maybe 2 dozen spots in the park, and no street parking directly outside, so you may have to circle a few times or walk a few blocks in if it's busy. My dog loves it here. There's plenty to sniff, and she's usually guaranteed a dead fish or two to hunt for (Mom does not approve this activity).

Or you can walk - on Summer lane and also Southwood Drive there is a grass area in the center of each street that if followed east will dead end in the park, just like the first 3 streets I mentioned do. This location makes the park quieter and safer than most as it is not along a main road and if someone doesn't know where it is they wont find it. There are restrooms, a playground, a soccer field used by local teams, and an all purpose bath for biking and walking. The path winds through a wooded area along side the backyard of a few homes. Along the way you pass a pavilion and a dirt make shift bike (I've seen remote control cars used here too) area (small hills and stuff). There are larger parks with more offerings (e.g., tennis, basketball) in the city, but if you want a quiet place to walk the dog or let the kids run this works. There is a completed shaded part of the path and a part of the path where there is no shade to be had.

I don't think this is a great park for picnics because upon entry, I only saw one picnic table with benches so other people will have to sit on the ground if the table is occupied. Sitting on the ground is fine but it may not be convenient for some people. This park is a good option for walking or taking a mini hike with friends and family. There is a rocky area with some water that is cool to see as it is a mini waterfall. Bring sturdy shoes and a water bottle. Overall, I had fun at David Fortier River Park.
