I went to gentle foot care on 12-11-23 for a toe problem. Dr. Giang Nguyen took care of my toe but…read moresome one came in and cut all my toe nails so short , after two months my toe nails are just starting to see the light. (Bad). On 1-12-24 . I had another problem with another toe , so I tought to myself I would give them a second chance. Dr. Nguyen said I had a corn on my right toe , so she gave me a shot in my tow proceeded to cut it off and said I shouldn,t have any more problem, what a joke. After two weeks Dr. Nguyen had the new Dr.Tren come in look at the problem. He lifted my food up so hard ,took a pair of toe sissor and cut a piece off of my toe because he said I still had a piece of corn left on my toe. Dr. Tren didn't give me a shot to numb my toe started to bleed, he put a band-aid and sent me on my way. It hurt so bad I wanted slap him so bad, but I didn't. They took lots of money from my insurance co. plus my co pay"s. This was a bad and horrible experience , not only that , when I wanted to speak with Dr. Nguyen , they refused . The staff became very hostile . Be very careful who is cutting on your feet. I would like to have my co.pay back for they didn't fix the problem.

Horrible experience with a doctor and her office. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!!…read more Had an appointment for my son due to the recurrence of an in-grown toe nail. Doc looked at his toe and determined that he needed to have it removed. This would require another appointment because of the medication he would have to take prior to coming into the office. She prescribed two pills for him to take, one taken 2 hours before the procedure and the second only to be taken an hour before the appointment if he wasn't feeling groggy and out of it. The appointment set was for 3:45 pm on a school day. We were going to pick him up at 2:45pm. So my ex called the school and spoke with the nurse about giving him the pill at 1:45pm. Nurse said she need a note from the doctor with those instructions. Fine. She called the doctors office and said to the girl who answered the phone that she needed a note for the school nurse so that our son could take the lorazepam. The girl said that medicine would not be strong enough and that the doctor prescribed Ativan. My ex explained that lorazepan is the generic equivalent to the Ativan and that this is what she picked up at the pharmacy. The doctor's office called in the prescription to the CVS pharmacy. All we did was pick it up. So whatever they called in, is what we got. Obviously they never specified 'name brand only'. That is on them. The girl on the phone said she would have the doctor call her back in which she did. Dr Nguyen called her and immediately said, "I explained this to your husband 2-3 times. We're not going to go through this again. I'm going to refer you to Advanced Foot Care. I'm afraid your son will be traumatized and they can knock him out for 30 minutes" What? What just happened? "We're not going to go through this again"???? My ex called for a school note. Now we're being told to start the process all over again and go see another doctor because she doesn't want to go through "this again". Back in the exam room when Dr. Nguyen was explaining how to take the medicine, she told me once. I may have repeated back what she was saying so that I would be clear but that was once. She and her nurse both have accents that aren't the easiest to understand so repeating it back is necessary. We called Advanced Foot Care and they were dumbfounded by what we told them. They said that Dr. Nguyen is a foot doctor just like they are. They said that they don't knock people completely out for this procedure. They do exactly as Dr. Nguyen originally said. So we're going to Advanced Foot Care and we are giving our son the same medicine as Dr. Nguyen prescribed, the lorazepam. So with that. Don't go to this quack of a doctor. Go to Advanced Foot Care. I just wasted an afternoon of work and 40 bucks all for nothing. THANKS DR. NGUYEN!!!

The dispute was not with Vicki Cooke my former NP, she had never talked to me about it, she was out of town during this time.... I guess it's common practice now to have no say so about your care. Regardless, you discharged me as a patient, fine, I will go someplace else... My complaint, you sent out a certified letter in January, or you say you did, you wouldn't show me the receipts. I never received any letter, why would I have shown up for an appnt if I had received it. I had an appnt scheduled on 6/14 since my last appnt in December of 2017. I received a call to confirm my appointment, I asked to change the appnt to today's date. Yesterday I received a call to confirm my appointment. I came in for my appnt, I was asked to update paper work and then taken back to a room.... It was then I was finally approached about the letter that was "sent" out in January. Vicki Cooke would not even come and talk to me. I was humiliated and all of this was over a dispute with a very rude staff member about antibiotics for a sinus infection. Today I came in with a black eye and a hurt shoulder from a fall yesterday, I thought I was going to have it looked at. . I guess I need to find a new doctor to take a look at it.... My advice to the staff there, if you discharge someone as a patient make sure your staff and the patient knows about it. And to Vicki Cooke, I suggest you take the time to talk to your patients before you make rash, uninformed decisions. I'm truly baffled at this, all over antibiotics for a sinus infection.

I couldn't think of a better place to go for my medical treatments. I have diabetes and I have to…read moresee my Dr ( Vicki Cooke ) every three months. So over the years I have been there a lot. I have experienced nothing but kindness and care from Vicki and her staff. It's unusual for a Dr anymore to sit down with you and look you in the eyes and ask how you are doing.... This is a place that cares about their patients.
