Over the years, I've seen countless doctors, specialists, and pain clinics. I've had just about every injection you can imagine. What stood out to me before I even met her was that multiple doctors, all from different buildings and institutions, independently told me the same thing, "If anyone can help you, it's her." That alone says everything. From the moment I met Dr. O'Neill at Spaulding in Braintree, I felt something I haven't felt in a very long time... I truly felt seen. She didn't rush me. She didn't talk over me. She didn't treat me like a chart, a case, or a number. She treated me like a human being who has been carrying pain for a very long time. Her empathy was immediate and genuine. She spoke to me gently, listened fully, and truly validated everything I've been experiencing for years. The injections themselves were unlike anything I've ever had, and that's saying a lot. (I've had hundred maybe even thousands of injections over the years) She was able to inject in places no other doctor has ever addressed, areas I didn't even realize could be treated because no one else had the experience or confidence to go there. Joy would perform cranio-sacral massage for her for about an hour and a half every other Monday and she would show me how to do maintenance stretching and massage in between visits. We were able to maintain my schnauzer in good health until she was one week shy of 15 years old and all that time she could run and play with dogs half her age and, until the very last days of her life more than three years later, she appeared to be pain free. Of note, the normal life span of giant schnauzers usually is 12.5 years. Convinced of what a miracle worker Joy could be with animals, i thought she might do just as well with people and , several years later , my wife began to consult her re chronic back and hip and knee pain and, once again, Joy proved to be a miracle worker. She placed me on another six week waitlist only for me to call back having to prove she NEVER ASKED FOR THIS INFOMATION - NOW REMOVED FROM A WAITLIST. A few people to call out: Doctor Williams Nurse Supervisor - Oscar Overnight Tech - Patricia aka Pat OT - Joelle PT - Stephanie Case Management - Laura and Carol the Director Head of Food - Karla My mother was resistant going into Rehab after being in the hospital for over 10 days but now says it was the best place and so happy she went. From Doctor Williams to the Nurse Supervisor (Oscar) and the overnight Tech (Pat) who went over and above to make her feel so special and gave such great medical care it will last a lifetime of positive memories. The Therapists were amazing a group walk the first day and she was marching around and laughing with others with Joelle and Stephanie. Checking her vitals a few times to ensure she was in range while being on the bike. Stephanie showed the care and ensured we were familiar with different tools to use with her as she was being sent home. They both worked with the doctor to ensure that all of her medical needs were being looked at during any therapy that they gave. Laura our Case Manager was just amazing at keeping us informed and follow up since being home less than 24 hours. Her boss Carol who directs Case Management came by to check in a few times. Questioned all and given her a little feedback on the bathroom and the cold baked potato mentioned by my mother was obviously heard loud and clear. We then had the housekeeper in 2 x's to clean the room perfectly. Karla the head of dietary was just so sweet and brought my mother extra special treats like "hot apple pie and ice cream" one evening and her last day all of her wishes come true. Only feedback is a little update, and a bigger bathroom would be better for residents. Really can't speak more highly of the care of Encompass based on the staff that they have employed. Thank you!

I knew all too well what I was in store for, & was punctual for each appt, but was often seen 10 minutes late. This may have been overlooked, but the office was often empty & I was told the therapist was busy with 'paperwork". The contention I had on the time, is that she tried to release me after only 15-20 minute sessions, but continued to charge my insurance company for hundreds of dollars. It was evident early on, this therapist was obviously not enthused about her job and it showed. If someone else walked by, i was quickly abandoned and/or her attention diverted. Even though progress had been made, she eventually was pawning me off to a sports masseuse. I have nothing against going for a massage, and in fact began working them in to coincide with my treatment, but in one breath the therapist was telling me I could eventually be pain free but it would take time; yet in the same sentence telling me I need to learn how to "manage the pain" & therapy was over!! Are you kidding me??? I understand after a certain period of treatment, there is a re-evaluation. The problem here is that she was cutting me loose before I was healed. It's not that I am trying to be my own dr., and i may have respected her professional opinion, had she wanted to listen or take into consideration my past personal experience's. When I tried to make additional appointments, she had the office secretary call me to cancel them, and was then provided the excuse Katie was concerned with my insurance and that I may be charged for the appointments based on her notes. Apparently her notes do not include the comments made by the patient. I have excellent insurance and it covered past treatments in full, with no problem. I now will need to go to another PT office, with the same insurance, to finish the job the way it should be.

My movement was restricted and I could barely raise my arm to shoulder height. It was difficult to get a good night's sleep. Within a few weeks after working with Dave the pain was diminished and my mobility was restored. By the end of the treatment period I was 100% better and haven't had a problem with my rotator cuff since. Some of the things I like about this practice is their friendly and professional staff, Molly the therapy dog and making new friends with other patients. The practice has a real feel of community about it. And Dave does a great job keeping the mood light by telling jokes and funny stories. It really distracts you from the pain when you're laughing. I highly recommend Dave. He's the best!
