If you're buying your first home, need a mortgage, and still want to stay competitive in the incredibly tight Santa Barbara/Goleta housing market, look no further than Kendrick. Kendrick is exceptionally responsive, thorough, and knowledgeable about the local market. He's also very well connected with other agents, which proved to be a huge advantage throughout our home search. Finding a home in the $1-1.3 million price range is highly competitive, but Kendrick helped us secure a beautiful home without spending months searching. His relationships, market knowledge, and offer strategy were instrumental in putting together a competitive offer that was accepted within a day of the home hitting the market. What we appreciated most was that he always had our best interests in mind. If he noticed issues with a property, he pointed them out. If he felt a home was overpriced, he told us honestly instead of encouraging us to overpay. At no point did we feel pressured to make an offer. We always felt he was helping us make the right decision. Working together with our mortgage advisor, Kendrick helped us navigate the entire process seamlessly. From our accepted offer to closing, we completed everything in less than 20 days. We highly recommend Kendrick to anyone looking to buy a home in the Santa Barbara or Goleta area. read more

Words do not do justice with the job Kendrick has done to land us the house of our dreams. I have worked with real estate agents in the past, purchased a condo and did some renovations, however, the experience we had with Kendrick is unmatched. He really advocated for us throughout the entire process. A real benefit to Kendrick is his personal passion to real estate - he has his own properties and has done work on them, therefore, he knows the best foundation guy, handyman, inspector, contractor, plumber, you name it, and he will help get them to your property asap if it is going to make or break the deal for you. Being new to the area, we had a steep and quick learning curve to climb to understand the fast-paced Santa Barbara market. Kendrick helped educate us and gave honest, no-nonsense advice when we were considering properties and making offers. After only a few weeks' search, our offer was accepted ahead of even the seller having a broker caravan or open house. It was Kendrick's deep understanding of the area and market, along with his impeccable reputation and network that helped to make this happen for our family. Kendrick's ability to rapidly understand our family's needs and wants also helped to streamline everything. Instead of combing through listings and hunting down every lead, it was usually Kendrick texting us links of potential properties and filling us in on the details of the home or sales history before we even had gotten to it! We can't say enough about working with Kendrick and his team. Everything is handled, every step of the way. Highly recommend Kendrick! After our house was on the market for 6 months with another agent, we decided to list our home with someone else. After interviewing a few agents, we decided to go with Kendrick. He had an impressive marketing plan and had sold many previously listed properties with successful outcomes. He made some great suggestions on minor repairs to clean up the house to have it appeal more to buyers. Kendrick was at the house consistently, coordinating painters, landscapers, cleaners, handymen, stagers and came by multiple times a day to ensure the work was done properly. You could tell Kendrick really cared, and that was so refreshing to see. While his knowledge and strategy was impressive, what we found out later was how fun Kendrick was to work with and how much he really cared about us. He kept us laughing consistently, and really handled everything for us. We have sold a few properties and the process hasn't been fun, but this time with Kendrick, it was easy and fun. Once the property hit the market, Kendrick got us three offers and the property sold $15,000 over the asking price. Very impressive as the other agent had the listing for 6 months without a single offer, and we came on the market with Kendrick at the same price as it was previously listed before. If you're looking for real estate representation in the Santa Barbara area, there is no one better than Kendrick. Thank you! read more

I can wholeheartedly recommend Kendrick Guehr for any prospective buyer in the Santa Barbara area! Kendrick was excellent to work with from start to finish. In a tough year with little personal interaction, he established a friendly rapport from the get-go by setting up an introductory meeting and keeping phone and text contact a constant throughout the process. I was hugely impressed by his response times, there somehow wasn't a single instance when he was unavailable. It was easy for me, a first time home buyer, to find common ground with Kendrick, and his patient and friendly demeanor was a huge help to keeping stress to a manageable level. Kendrick is very knowledgeable about the market and the different neighborhoods of Santa Barbara, down to the property level, where he usually had some details ready to go on any given listing that appeared. Kendrick was also a great resource in selecting local mortgage and insurance brokers, should you be looking for advice there, as well. Once we found a property I wanted to pursue, he exhibited phenomenal negotiation skills. We were able to work together to customize offer packages that were creative and well tailored to the listing. He was able to successfully navigate me through an offer, and a couple counter-offers to secure entry into escrow. I am confident that both myself and the sellers are very happy with the end result. While in escrow, Kendrick kept himself up to date, checking in with me at critical times to see if I had any questions and usually to put my mind at ease. He coordinated flawlessly behind the scenes with the listing agent to set up inspections (he booked some of these for me himself, a huge help), walkthroughs, and requests for seller credits. The professionalism and helpful manner hasn't stopped there, Kendrick has continued to follow up with me after closing, helping to coordinate between myself and the previous owners, offering up good advice at every juncture. Thank you Kendrick! read more

Kendrick is a superb realtor! Once the deal was closed, Kendrick provided us with all sorts of trades people...gardener, housekeeper, painter, hauler, electrician, landscaper, you name it, he had a person to help us. This was extremely helpful to us since we were new to the SB area. As a testament to our confidence in him, we referred our dear friends to him and I'm sure he'll help them find their dream home too. read more
