Overall- I appreciate the diligence their team provides when you have your fine jewelry repaired. They are trustworthy, honest, and reliable! When you walk into the store you feel a bit cramped but it's simply because they have so many great cabinets full of authentic diamonds and lovely jewelry, along with cute personal and home items! They were very honest with me on the timing of my repairs and offered estimates before I conclusively decided to repair the rings (or not). I am thankful they're in business and have been for decades in Amarillo, Texas! And I have yet to find a better jewelry cleaner! I overheard them telling a customer that their cleaning process also involves steaming. Wow my rings were returned better than new. I'll be back!

Unfortunately, after a few visits, I was not greeted with the same kindness as initially given, mainly I believe because my ring wasn't made there. However, before the service, I had asked for the option for them to work on my ring, and the representative said with confidence that they could do it. After the work was done, I was given a receipt double for what I was quoted, and received a sub-par work. The finish was not smooth and the details looked rough. When I confronted this issue, I was met with some off-putting comments about ordering my ring, and they just "undid" the work within five minutes. I wish I never requested that service because now my ring has the minor details that still looks unprofessional, and I still paid for the service that was undone after it wasn't done well. The issue is, I didn't expect them to doing customizations on a ring that was uniquely made or made by a different company. The issue is that the individual that helped me was confident in saying they could do the service I asked about, AND the charged me for it, and it was clearly not done well... So much so, that it took five minutes to undo it, and even then, with an undesirable finish. I don't think I'll be taking any more services from them unfortunately because of this experience, and I do want to make it clear that my unfortunate experience isn't their default. I just wish I didn't spend time and money on something if that wasn't their specialty to begin with. If you want custom designs with them, they'll probably do a great job with it, but if you have a ring that isn't made by them, and you want to add customizations, it's best to reach out to other jewelers.

I picked it up and wanted to cry I was so sick! It looked like I bought it at the flea market and was fake and shined up. The original ring I took in was valued at $15,000 and now looked like I found it on sale at Dillard's 75% off they immediately wanted me to just return the rings and give me my original back and we all know it wouldn't ever been the same expecially seeing the work their jewelry guy does. The warranty covered it and they offered to fix the air bubbles in the solder but couldn't do anything about the visible to the eye crookedness. I was told no two rings are alike they won't ever line up! So half of the side diamonds are visible and half are not. I took the ring to several other places and a family member who is in jewelry and was told the work was just very poor quality and the businesses I did go to said they would NEVER let a piece go like that. The manager didn't care at all all he wanted was to give us the money back so samuels didn't have a bad name. So here I am stuck with the bands I want a jeweler who can't fix the set properly and a now a $20000 ring that looks like crap and I can't have a real jeweler fix them properly or it will void my warranty! So I guess I won't be wearing my ring anymore since even my kids 12yrs old noticed the defects and hadn't heard anything about it. I just showed them when I got in the car and immediately was asked why they are crookedly set?! Quality of jewelry may be ok but the jeweler absolutely run don't walk he will ruin anything he touches.they honestly don't even deserve a star at all! Several days ago my ring broke (the emerald chipped and one of the prongs holding it came off.) I have had this ring less than a month. For it to be already chipping and breaking is unacceptable.I am very careful with how I handle my jewelry and this ring was no different. When I took the ring in to see if they could help me they explained that my only options were to send the ring in which would take between 6-14 weeks for it to be repaired, or I could "surrender" the ring which is basically like a non-payment, so it would be reported to the credit bureau. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! I should have listened to the other horror stories my friends had about Kay Jewelers. I am stuck in this situation now. DO NOT BUY FROM KAY JEWELERS!!!!!
