I had a wicked time at the Pirate Pay Adventure Golf, loads of fun!…read more My Mum wanted to check this place out for a potential fun activity to do with her colleagues outside of work. We paid £7:50 per adult for the adventure golf course that took us around an hour to complete. 18 holes with nearly all being 3 par. The design looks brilliant! and really adds to the experience. I absolutely love the moving platforms that you need to pull ropes to get from one hole to the other. Everyone has been to crazy golf course where everything is worn, old and outdated. Pirate Bay is a perfect example of what crazy gold should be which is fun and innovative. Would recommend for any age and wouldn't dismiss it as just for childrens parties as I doubt anyone wouldn't enjoy this course! http://www.piratebayadventuregolf.com/Prices-Opening-Times

I love swinging a few rounds at the range on occasion!…read more It's not to expensive around 60 balls for £4 and £1.50 for club rental. They have the standard box areas where people are separated by a partition, great for plugging in the ipod and venting some frustration! They also have some open pods which are really good for an open swing. I heard they have a crazy golf type thing for the kids at a reasonable £7. Now, being a female and enjoying a bit of golf sometimes you can get some funny treatment, a 'you shouldn't be here this is a mans sport *gruff' but the lads here are really friendly and are game for a laugh which makes me go back more. They didn't even laugh when i went to hit the ball and let go of my club...what gents. It's located in hambrook but if you drive past the MOD and keep heading out towards the motorway, round the roundabout and back on yourself-its not shy off the bristol business park/ibis hotel and UWE north.

Dare you putt your way through the jungle mini golf course on top of Cabot's circus shopping…read morecentre?? I LAUGHED MYSELF SILLY playing crazy golf here last week. 2 courses, 18 holes and an active volcano (not a real one obv). The course is spankingly new and looks like a set from Tomb Raider, all vines and fake temple ruins, swamp etc The course takes an hour in total and is a great way to have fun, and like me, get your competive edge out. You don't have to take kids with you, just go with your mates - its more active for brain and body than sitting in the pub. It's not expensive either - about £7 and lots of concessions available - kids, students and OAPs. The 'Hideout' cafe is also good for a simple cuppa and a cake after your game. Loser buys the drinks!

I really really really wanted to like this place. It looks so cool from the outside, and the fact…read morethat it's inside a shopping centre oozed credibility for me. But he thing is, it's really expensive for what is essentially nothing more than your standard, run of the mill Butlins inspired mini golf. The holes weren't imaginative. Nothing like the mind-blowing mini golf I experienced in Queenstown, New Zealand where your ball rolled into a miniature roller coaster, and a castle, and a HUGE exploding volcano. No, this one does nothing like that. What's worse is that it's really expensive. I guess kids may enjoy it, but for anyone older that the age of 12 will find it boring and repetitive.

Although I wouldn't recommend it as a fashion outlet, if you actually play sport, this is a great place to stock up on the cheap. No one wants to spend more than they really have to on stuff that's just going to get muddy, broken and smelly, and you can get football boots here for £15, shinpads for around a fiver, and tracksuit bottoms for less than a tenner. This place is the perfect antidote to 'sports' shops that don't actually sell proper sporting equipment; and it's also worth occasionally checking out their range of largely horrible but very cheap trainers ( I once picked up a pair black Adidas shells for £30 when they cost £50 everywhere else).

Firstly I was in the shop with my pushchair and found it impossible to navigate round the shop. More than 50% of the aisle were to narrow for me to go down turning the whole shop into this frustrating maze. The fact that it was busy didn't help the situation. I then found my way to the lift and went to the top floor where the children's shoes were located. By this point my son had had enough of being pushed so I set him loose while trying to find him some trainers. I quickly found a pair and gave them to the staff member on duty who said they'd find his size. He disappeared behind a door and literally didn't return for 10-15mins!! What the hell he was doing out there I don't know, but I'm sure it cant take that long to locate a pair of shoes. By the time he did return my son and pulled and twenty different things off the shelves but I thought oh well serves you right! He wasn't apologetic either. I should add the trainers were really nice and a bargain so I'm sure I'll be back but definitely minus the pushchair!
