My Grandmother gets a colonoscopy every 3 years with Dr. Fishbein so I am sort of an expert at going to these places. I must say at first I was a bit skeptical because I had taken her to this location 3 years ago and I remember not being very happy. But, wow! What a difference! I took her last month and so much has changed. The place looks new, I was so shocked that I had to ask if it was under new management and it is! The waiting area is clean and organized. It has a nice selection of magazines which I appreciate. Also, water for the family members and free coffee. The nursing staff is extremely knowledgeable, I had the pleasure of dealing with Milie and Yasser both very nice and very professional. They were extremely patient with my grandma, thank you! Next, let me comment on the overall clean appearance of the center. Ive heard so many horror stories about poor hygiene at outpatient facilities that it worries me every time I have to take a family member to one of these places. But, I felt comfortable, you can tell these ppl care about being clean because of how nicely kept they keep the place especially the bathrooms. If I had to say one negative aspect about my visit is the smell of coffee in the downstairs office. I feel it overpowers everything else. It is such a small office there's not much ventilation and a lot of the patients haven't eaten in over 24 hours so they are extra sensitive to the smell. My grandma felt a little nauseous because of all the different smells in the office. Other than that small incident I would say overall I had a great experience. My mother had a colonoscopy at 7:30 AM and by 10 AM, still hadn't been seen. She was finally registered at 9:30AM but I was shocked that there were others scheduled at the same time with Dr. Sanchez. According to the nurse, Dr. Sanchez arrived at 7:30AM, the same time he was supposedly to start the procedure on MULTIPLE patients. Scheduling so many elderly patients at the same time and then having them wait in an enclosed space without their companions or caretakers is massively irresponsible in a pandemic. There is no excuse for this waiting almost THREE hours and STILL not being seen. Due to COVID, we would normally be understanding of the situation but our THIRD attempt to have the colonoscopy. Each time, the Kendall Endoscopy and Surgery Center has shown itself to be operated by an inept staff with absolutely no sense of professionalism. The first time we attempted to have the procedure done, my mother was prescribed a medication that didn't exist anymore. And when we tried to get the medication changed, NO ONE answered the phone until the morning of. The pharmacist also tried to get in contact and no one would answer because their hours are so strange. If you need a colonoscopy, please save yourself the trouble and find a better place to have it done. read more

Clean center, but staff's bedside manners are lacking. My general feel of the place was like cattle being herded in and out of the place, like a mill. My father had a procedure here, and as soon as I got to the recovery area, they were waking him up and telling him to get dressed. One of the nurses told me that he's a bit dizzy, but proceeded to harass him to get up and move off the bed as they had other people needing to come in. Mind you - this is not even 10 minutes after he's woken up, and Dad is in his upper-70s, so we're not dealing with a spritely young guy here. We were up and out 5 minutes after that, and gone after 10 more, but I do t recommend the place based on that. As an FYI, we had ("proper") insurance, and this wasn't a free gig for them (and not that that should even matter, as we're dealing with humans here), so I'm honestly appalled by the treatment. read more

Apathy, Mean, Unprofessional, Rude, frustrated confused front desk ambassador receptionist or clerk sitting in the front desk of the completely filled waiting room right before patients undergo medical Procedure. What a horrible experience I had yesterday while waiting for my sick mother who was about to undergo anesthesia for medical procedure. I want to let every one know that the rest of the professionals who work there, delivered the up most professional medical service not to mention that my mothers gastro doctor is one of the best in his field. The place is also exceptionally clean super clean, the nurses deliver compassion for all the patients and truly gave top and above perfect services to my mother this time and every time I have taken her. So to me keeping this type of excellent care and service is important and is the reason I am going to write about the lady who sits in the lobby where patients wait to come in to procedures in hopes that a stop is put to her unacceptable behavior towards patients and especially the elderly who is vulnerable at a time where they're health is getting checked. The above already described staff member Got up came around to the middle of the Crowded completely full room of people that are talking to their loved ones or on the phone, a loud TV Thats hanging in the room and women that were sitting behind the receptionist that seemed to know her since they were carrying on with her yet this receptionist decided to bully only me she stood there facing me and pointing at me and publicly announcement to me, ordering me to bring down the volume on my cell that it was just mine that was disturbing her from her ability to hear while she is on the phone. while the rest of the room was full of patients who were either on their cells listening to music the TV was on and the room was full of talking people. This is the waiting room not a classroom full of scholars with a teacher who was loosing her temper and control power trip that's more where this receptionist belongs. Had it not been that I didn't want my mother to panic I would have given her a pice of my mind and replied to her how she deserved to be replied to however as it was my 75 year old already nervous mother who was about to go under anesthesia, didn't need to witness this type of aggravation from this member so I just kept quiet to avoid further Conflict yet it was obvious we my mom and I were picked at disrespected and made to fell embarrassed & humiliated as we were discriminated to unlike the rest called out as the only noice makers In the room who had to keep quiet. She could have used more Tact, care and compassion in delivering her bias discriminating order to my mother and I. There's a saying that goes, the Apple does not fall far from the tree so if this staff member reacts towards patients this way must be that her immediate supervisor allows this behavior hopefully this comment gets to the appropriate department where a change for the positive takes place to keep the business ftom going down hill and eventually ends up ruining a good operation . Horrible to have to experience such disrespect from staff that doesn't appreciate there pay check comes from the very same people they are looking down at treating with disrespect and discrimination . Taking my mom there was the best thing I can do. First of all, nearby hospitals/ centers wanted so much money for the same test with the same doctor and this facility was able to provide it at a much lower cost. They provided such great care and special attention to all the new safety measures for Covid precautions. Everyone was not only friendly, but professional and very knowledgeable and most importantly made her feel safe during these pandemic times. read more

This place is horrible! I was there on behalf of a patient, not as a patient. The staff are rude, unprofessional, and do not appear to have any regard for their patients. They operate more like an impersonal production line and have no concern for appointment times, etc. The person I was with waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for a 6:45am appointment! read more

I went for a 12pm endoscopy. The check in was very quick and easy. Then you went upstairs to wait for your appointment. Once I was taken in to pre-op, Albert & Yasser we're my pre-op techs and Albert got my IV immediately; I didn't even feel it. Once I was taken into the procedure room, the CRNA and nurse explained everything to me and made sure I was comfortable. The doctor came in and also explained everything before starting. After my procedure, my post-op was great. They continued to ask me if I needed anything and made sure I was okay. The doctor came in to explain what he saw and when my results should be in. I went to Kendall Endoscopy and Surgery Center for a colonoscopy and endoscopy. The staff was extremely professional and kind. The nurse anesthesist was very helpful and detailed in addressing my concerns since I have obstructive sleep apnea. She gave me assurance that nothing would go wrong, and she was 100% correct. My veins are a challenge for anyone who is drawing blood or installing an IV, and they were even worse yesterday since I had to fast. Nurse Irma installed the IV on the first try and it didn't even hurt!! Four hours was the time it took from when I first walked in to registration until I walked out after my procedure and recovery time, which is in keeping with the information provided by my doctor. Terrible staff. Expect at least a 3-4 hour wait before your procedure. They will give you false information such as you are next patient up, about another 30 minutes. That turned into an hour and a half. Then you're wheeled in and prepped. Another hour and 15 minutes. No one bothers to keep you informed or to give you the truth about the wait or general reasons for delays. You sit there and wait like cattle. Appointment was for 8:40. I arrived at 8:30. Surgery appointment wasn't until 10:40 even though it only takes 5-10 minutes to fill out the paperwork. At 12:15 the procedure still hadn't taken place. Then they told me again that there was one patient ahead of me. Absolutely the worst surgical center I've ever xperienced. And half the nurses in the prep room while I waited with an IV in me for over an hour were not wearing the hair nets! Why? read more
