Misrepresented a vehicle, and took zero accountability. Dismissed our concerns and were extremely rude.

You have to come in for an inspection to get a diagnosis" which is "between $60-$120". I explained that I already had that done and knew the problem. I asked for part and labor estimation- again, refused. She said they wouldn't trust that diagnosis and I would need to come in and pay the money to get their diagnosis. It's sad they only care about money. I know the issue and I am not going to come in and pay $60-$120 to find out the estimate is much more than I am willing to pay.

I originally asked the towing company to take me elsewhere, but he recommended Precision Automotive. Unfortunately, they had already closed by the time I called, but took the call anyway and agreed to stay late to look at my car. They got me back on the road within an hour after replacing a spark plug and even added something to clean my fuel tank free of charge to ensure I got home safely. When I tried to tip them to thank them for helping me out in a pinch, they refused it but ultimately let me leave a smaller amount for them to treat their son to some ice cream. Great service. If I lived locally, I would take my car here.

They looked at the car and cleaned a part that they thought could have some more life left to try to save me some money in a very short time period after dropping the car off. Unfortunately, cleaning the part didn't work so I went back two days later, they asked me to come in right away, so I did. They told me that they thought the part would be around $300 and they would have it the next day. I went in two days later because I couldn't make it the next day and in about 20 minutes he had the new part in and it costed less than half of what I expected to have to pay! I would definitely recommend to anyone and will go there again! Great service and friendly staff!

However upon receiving my truck back it didn't shift properly. So back to P&R they looked at it and determined the torque converter was bad. I then got it back on or about May the 8th the next day I go out to leave for work and a big puddle of trans fluid under my truck. Take it back again they go through it again bring it back on May the 13th. Now not only is it leaking but slams into 2nd gear and has no passing gear. I call my local guy who tells me it's because my truck is a dog doesn't run right needs a tune up. This guy is another story. I go get new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and a fuel filter. It did help but still leaked and didn't shift worth $1300. I called P&R personally spoke with the owner John who told me he was tired of my shit and to go Fuck myself. Since then I add about a quart of fluid per month and drive like an old lady. I was trying to make it last until tax time because I had to borrow the first $1300. On Sept,21st my trans lost all gears I contacted my guy and he said call P&R so I called John who said get it towed and he will look at it. Mind you I didn't want to get told to go fuck myself again but I called and he was nicer. They have had it sitting outside since October 1st have not even pulled into the shop. If this is how they handle warranty work I hope they get it right the 5th time. So upset right now! All of this and I never got the receipt I asked for the first time. This time I'll have a cop with me when I pick it up and John can tell a cop why he won't give me a receipt. I called today before putting this up John said he can't get it in until next week.

Review of Dixon VW I…read morespoke with Dixon VW for over a month about purchasing a new vehicle. Throughout every conversation--by phone and text--we discussed only the out-the-door price, meaning tax, title, and license included. At no point was anything else ever discussed. They even requested my home address (I live out of state) specifically to calculate the correct taxes and fees. When we agreed on a price and I submitted my deposit, everything appeared correct. The paperwork Scott sent me also showed $0 in taxes, which aligned with what we had agreed upon--those costs were supposed to be included in the purchase price. After I signed the paperwork, I asked if my existing plates could be transferred. At that point, Scott informed me that I would need to pay my registration fees and that I would also owe sales tax when registering the vehicle in Iowa. This added roughly $2,500 to the cost of the vehicle. This was completely unacceptable. I had other written offers for less money that already included taxes, and I had shared one of those quotes with Dixon VW. I was willing to pay about $200 more to save a two-hour drive, but adding another $2,500 made no sense. Scott and Drillon refused to refund my $1,000 deposit and claimed this was my fault because I had signed the agreement and "didn't notice it." This is despite the fact that for over a month, not once did anyone state this deal was anything other than out-the-door pricing. This turned into a week-long back-and-forth just to get my deposit returned. When I pointed out that I would end up paying $2,700 more than another identical offer, they played dumb and asked why I would have signed the paperwork. Eventually, they did return my deposit--but only after an exhausting and unnecessary ordeal. This was by far the worst car-buying experience I've ever had. What started off promising ended with changed terms, refusal to take responsibility, and behavior that fits the exact stereotype people dread when dealing with car salesmen. Plain and simple, this dealership tried to pull one over on me and then acted innocent when called out.

But, when you get there, they won't sell you the car at that price. They add on a ton of fees and a subscription to a theft deterrence system that they will not sell the car without. If you don't use their finance company, the price goes up again. This place is a scam and should be investigated for shady business practices.
