We met and discussed what I was looking for in a home. Single, never married, no kids with decent income gave me lots of options with my good credit score in a tough post covid market. She made a point early on that there are people out here looking at the same homes who have been searching for many months if not years and it is important when putting in an offer to stand out. We searched homes of various price ranges, conditions, locations ranging in the 413 / northern ct. and ones with multiple offers. Each home we looked at I learned something new as she explained what to look for that could be trouble down the line. My home is exactly what I was looking for. Although not on a body of water like a lake or in a wooded area, I made those sacrifices and put in one hell of an offer to purchases home I can proudly say is mine. I purchased my home June of 2023. Charlotte to this day still reaches out to see how I am doing and how the house is coming along by phone and by mail. We have no issue with not being the winning offer. What was disappointing was the way the communication was handled. Before our agent was notified of the seller's decision, we discovered online that the home went under contract. Days later, our agent finally received an email stating that "the seller has accepted a much higher offer than yours." The wording and overall tone of that communication came across as condescending and unnecessarily rude. Combined with the delay in notifying our agent, it left us feeling that professionalism and courtesy were lacking throughout the process. Buying a home is one of the biggest financial and emotional decisions most people make. Even when an offer isn't accepted, buyers deserve timely, respectful communication. Based on this experience alone, I would not choose to use this agency's services in the future, nor would I feel comfortable recommending them to others. I hope this feedback encourages more respectful and professional communication with future buyers.
