As you can imagine, my hair had become pretty funky alright. I picked Juliana through a Yelp search of Bend hair salons. I read her reviews (which are all positive), looked at her client photos, and confidently booked an appointment, knowing she was going to be great--- BEST CHOICE EVER!! I was looking for someone who had some edge about them, you know, not afraid to think outside the box. Her and I seemed to hit it off instantly. I've often ended up with hair shorter than I wanted in the past, but Dani really listened to what I was asking for. She delivered a beautiful long, layered cut that felt true to my goals while still giving my hair shape and movement. Even weeks later, I'm still loving it and constantly happy with how it looks. I didn't think it would be possible - but I liked this haircut even more than the last one she gave me (which I absolutely ADORED!). She just did a trim, and didn't take too much off in terms of overall length, but she added in a little bit more longer layers this time - which I love. When getting ready for work in the morning, I have the option of blow drying out my hair to make it sleek and styled OR just scrunching it up from the bottom and letting it air dry - and it dries on my way to work just perfectly. And, the highlight color she put in is just enough - it's noticeable but not in your face obvious that I got my hair highlighted, and looks totally natural while at the same time, lightening everything up. That's how I felt when I moved to Bend with pink and purple balayage on short hair filled with cowlicks. Then word-of-mouth led me to Meleni and I am so grateful! When she did my balayage, she managed to bleach my dark brown hair to a color lighter than ever achieved and didn't fry it. I was used to having to bleach my hair "punk rock style", but Meleni knows her chemistry. My hair still felt like hair after the bleaching! Among her talents: she's an artist with color. I've had three haircuts from Meleni now, and I feel like each time she gets to know my hair, the more amazing the cut. This last one she somehow gave me the perfect Louise Brooks bob that I coveted for decades and had given up on ever having. I'd gone to the Vidal Sassoon salon in NYC, used products and blowdryers, and here was effortless hair! Meleni is also fun and cool to talk with, she's a true gem in Bend!
