Terrible. 100% of the work had to be redone and replaced by another Landscaping company at our great expense. 1. We contracted and purchased an NDS underground drainage system. When the second landscaping company came in to redo everything - we discovered that our gutters were simply buried underground and there was in essence NO system in place. Our sump pump had a 10' solid PVC pipe attached to, buried about 2' underground that that ran along the side of our house that simply ended in dirt. No net, clean out, day light, no French drain, no NDS system - nothing. We feel blessed we discovered this or we would have eventually had 4 sink holes in our yard and a sump pump that would have backed up into our home. When we discovered this - it was a mouth dropper. 2. Concrete work was rough. Inexperienced crew. The sidewalk along side our home was not parallel to the house and drifted approximately 12" from back to front. The hand cut expansion joints were "eye balled" and not parallel with each other. The turn of this sidewalk into our patio was at an odd angle - not 45 degrees as per plan - and hard on the eyes. The carriage walk to our street was originally formed "off/unparallel" with the top at 36" width and at the street 34" width. I caught this before they poured. It should have been my warning as to how bad this crew was. 3. The Polymeric sand was installed incorrectly. On every instruction I've seen, paper or web, the critical step #3 states that the excess sand should be removed from the stone with a leaf blower before you wet and activate the polymeric sand or you will stain the stone. This step was not done and yes - all the stones were stained - and it looked awful. The stones looked dirty and oily. The owner of Kelly's Greenscape attempted to clean the stones - but with no success. In addition, sprinklers were set on the newly seeded yard at the same time - not allowing the polymeric sand to "set" properly leaving many places where the sand came out of the joints. 4. The stones originally used in our front stoop were the broken, tossed stones from the two patios. We believe he only order "just enough". It looked awful. Kelly's Greenscape did agree and came to replace "some" of the stones. However, we had a brick pattern using half 4x4 bricks and half 4x8 bricks. In his "redo" he only used 4x8 bricks - not following the grid pattern of the stonework. Between the polymeric sand not applied right and the brick pattern not followed, this was a horrible eyesore right out our front door. 5. The crew did not clean the yard before applying the topsoil and grass seed. After 2 lawn sprinklings, a tremendous amount of gravel surfaced. Most of these stones were 1" in diameter or larger disbursed throughout the job by their trucks and bobcat. All of the planting beddings had the overflow of crushed stone topped with mulch. When I went to garden, I found NO dirt for the plants. 6. The berm was created with mostly waste dirt from the demolition phase. The berm was excessively high and rolled over 12"-18" into my neighbors yard. The crew had not marked the lot line. When they came to correct this problem after the neighbors politely complained to us - they simply "cut" that side of the berm away and refused to lower the berm to an appropriate height or re-sculpt the curve of the berm. 7. I had ordered small Technito Arborvitae and found out from the 2nd Landscapers that what was planted where Techno Arborvitae which would grow large and not to the scale we were looking for. Not only did we verbally complain, we wrote the owner of Kelly's Greenscape a letter at the conclusion of the project stating all that was wrong and what we wanted corrected before we made final payment. He refused and stopped communicating with us. We have had to take Legal action.

We had Terry remodel our 1940s bathroom - electrical, plumbing, tile, tub, painting, toilet, sink,…read morelighting, cabinet, exhaust fan, grab bars, counter, plaster repair - the works! It's now been about 4 months since he finished the work and each day I look at our new bathroom and think "wow!' He did a great job! He was patient and always responsive to any questions or issues, and cleaned up each day. Great workmanship too. He started out by measuring and answering any questions we had, offering ideas here and there but letting us make our own decisions. Unlike some other contractors, he did not give fancy 3D architectural renderings, nor did he accompany us to each supplier to pick out products. Here's what his process was, which was perfect for us. We received a proposal contract which listed each item or task, along with a cost allowance for each item. If we chose something more expensive than its allowance, the final price would reflect the increase. If what we chose cost less than the allowance, the final cost would go down by that much. So we had a bottom line price from the start and would have the final decision on expenses. He then also gave us a list of his suggested suppliers from which to pick out all of the products. We worked with those suppliers to make selections at their respective showrooms (they work with TLC regularly), and they forwarded our selections to Terry. A few selections we made were from suppliers not on his list, which was fine, but the places he suggested were where most of the items came from. When all selections were made, he provided us with a revised proposal contract reflecting our selections and revised costs. Then he - not us - did the ordering from each vendor to insure that all of the parts and pieces fit together and would work, plus that way his contractor discount was applied. His final contract to us was transparent and showed all prices. No additional markups, no change order fees, no nonsense. If someone wants computer-generated architectural renderings, having him present at each supplier meeting, one central showroom where every needed product and samples are all in one place, then this type of contractor isn't likely for you. If however, you want a remodeling contractor that not only provides the quote but also does the actual work himself, with reliable suppliers that work with him, with a fair price and a minimal amount of stress (if that's possible lol), then TLC's a good choice. Would we recommend TLC Contracting? If you haven't it already guessed: the answer is absolutely!

A corner section of the gutters in front of my house was leaking water into the walkway below,…read morewhich caused a lot of ice problems last winter, so I wanted to get that repaired before the coming winter. The company I used in the past for roofing/gutter issues had closed, so I reached out to AD Roofing based on a recommendation from my realtor. As far as I can tell this issue has been resolved. One of their technicians cleaned and re-caulked the corner section and I haven't noticed any water below it since. The only "complaint" I have is that I didn't know what exactly they had done until a few days later when I reached out to find out and I didn't know how much I was being charged until a bill arrived in the mail. I'm glad it wasn't an expensive job and they could get it done so quickly and easily. I just wish there was a little more communication so I was in the loop right away about what was being done and how much it would cost.

They also cut down my chimney; and installed a new ridge vent system. I felt they were honest, reliable; and they did a nice job. They were the only company who actually went into my attic to look at my leaking problem and determine a cause. I chose to have a full, new roof - they didn't push that on me at all. My new roof looks great. I felt they were very fair in pricing & honest. Would hire again and would definitely recommend.

After many long years of waiting, we found our dream house this past fall. Unfortunately, the…read morehouse we chose has cedar siding, which usually means painting every 3-5 years and touching up in between. With three young children and a busy schedule, that sounded like the stuff of my nightmares. Thankfully, Rhino Shield has put an end to the maintenance cycle associated with frequent painting. We contacted our local Rhino Shield branch in Brookfield, WI and got the process started quickly. Within 48 hours we had met with a sales associate and got a complete estimate for the work our home would need. While the existing paint was not in terrible shape, there were many areas beginning to chip and boards with rot that would need to be replaced. The estimate included all of the prep work and wood replacement. Our job was put on a wait list because this is a busy time of year for home maintenance. Lucky for us, there was a cancelation and the workers were able to start just a week after we signed the contract. The crew was very professional. They remained socially distant, never needed to enter our house, and cleaned up every day. They also called ahead when the weather was too inclement to work. The work happened in four phases: 1. Prep: sanding board replacement, shrug trimming, outdoor light removal, and taping. 2. Priming: this was a sticky, glue-like primer that appeared colorless and gluey. It was sprayed on and left to cure. 3. Rhinoshield coating: this was the colored, paint-like material. It was sprayed on. 4. Reassembly: lights were put up, shutters were hung, and everything was cleaned up. From prep to finished coating, it took about 8 days to complete our home. Our only criticism was that things felt a bit disorganized and our sales person was not entirely familiar with the financing process. However, the entire office staff was not present due to the Covid 19 crisis, so they were working with minimal staff. I would recommend getting a complete copy of the loan terms before the project begins to ensure the financing options are clear. Overall, we are extremely pleased with our Rhinoshield. We can still see the beautiful wood grain, but not longer dread the perpetual need to paint! I definitely recommend this route for anyone looking for a maintenance free forever home!

We signed our contract 11/2017 with Randy, whom took pictures of our house before he left…read more Contractor #1 started working on the house 4/2018. All was good until he was finished. There was a lot of overspray on our foundation, deck, furniture, chimney, brand new roof etc., and the trim job around the house was terrible, def not "professional". Contractor #1 was very irritated that we were pointing out things that needed fixing. It was agreed that after our new windows were installed, when he came back to touch up around the windows he would fix the trim and other issues around the house. (he did fix the overspray on our deck, and tried fixing the chimney and the roof) Things just got worse from there, first there was "flashing" with the paint job around the whole house. Then, eventually there was bubbling on the East side of the house. Contractor #1 ended up coming back twice to "fix" the flashing and the bubbling.....the East side of the house looked even worse, bubbles were gone but the way it was fixed ruined the wood grain look of the aluminum siding, and there was still flashing. We did express our dissatisfaction regarding the look of the siding, plus there were some dents....and not all the overspray was removed from our house. There were also still issues with the trim. And then.....the bubbling came back, even worse than before. Now we are getting upset....just want to be done. Wanting our money back, but were told they would get this right, we were now part of the Rinoshield Family. In comes crew #2.... At this point it was agreed that John, the job manager would be out here and make sure everything was done right, he would be here to do the walk around when they finished.....they repainted the entire house, scraping the bubbling on East side, fixing the trim....nothing was done regarding the dents, when they were done John was not here to do the walk around with us as agreed, nor did he contact us to do so. The next time we spoke was because again there were bubbles forming on the East side of the house. Also, at this point Crew #2 had sprayed so much paint on some areas of our house that it was bumpy and rough and on other areas there wasn't enough, among other issues still not taken care of from the first Painter. This leads us to 5/2019, we are now dealing with David, no more John, he sends one of his "crews" to come out to look at the house....they are in disbelief. They take dozens of pictures and actually go directly to David to show him the problems.... He claims to have never been shown any pictures. Now on to 8/2019.... Now we have to say, Rhinoshield has one thing going for them....they did come back, they did send crews to "fix" the issues. During the summer we had discussed our worry of this happening again, we discussed the unprofessionalism on his part with his lack of communication, the large dent not getting fixed, we even discussed the contract and our worry regarding this happening after the two year mark where you end up having to pay for the labor...to which he agreed to extend that part of our contract (which we never saw). We gave him a list of things that needed fixing, we went over the list with him as we walked around the house. We also mentioned our lack of faith regarding the product and that we really just wanted our money back. Again, we were told this would all be fixed....each and every time they were bringing in their "best crew". Onto Crew #3.....they started on the bubbling on the East side of the house. They stripped and pressure washed the house for 2 weeks....with no regards to our property....no precaution was taken with regards to our landscaping or our house. All that water going down the side of our house, nothing was put down to draw the water away from the house. Nor to keep all that stripped off paint off of EVERYTHING! We had water seeping into our basement foundation (head of the crew telling us we must have foundations issues), we even had water forced in through our brand new windows in our dining room (which they did clean up), professionals would have known better. As of now the house is repainted, the bubbling is gone...BUT, the color is off, the framing around the windows is now dented and if there were a couple dents on the house before (from the first painter) there are dozens and dozens now... the whole entire side is dentedThis entire time we were dealing with crew #3, we had sent David text messages, VM to call us, and emails. He would return emails but refused to respond to text or call us back. Now we've been pushed onto Ben. Again we've asked for our money back. At this point Rhinoshield refuses to give us their insurance information, the info on the contract is false insurance info. By the way, we hired Rhino shield, our contract is with Rhino shield, they themselves hired the crews to carry out their contract they had with US!! Now we are getting the runaround...beware!! Do not hire Rhino Shield!!!
