Just got the Everything Super Fries with Carne Asada. Really good! Highly recommend you try this Home Depot-style eatery.

Quesadilla $8.95. Not very good service in San Francisco prices in Richmond outside of a Home Depot hotdogs or seven bucks completely over price and the quality of food is just not there. It does help and I mix in a bind but it's not delicious food by any means north of gourmet or Even St., Food quality

Best breakfast burrito in the bay. The BEC "snacker" is legit. Super nice family that runs it.

The best burrito and tacos in the area. Consistently good every time! Especially like the breakfast burritos.

Feb 26, 2025 3pm 3.8 stars…read more We stopped by for a Hot Pastrami and Swiss sandwich (we ended up with "The Point Richmond") and a coke. $19 and change. There is a learning curve. The sandwiches on the menu all have cute names like "The Point Richmond" and "The New York". That if nice except that- for example... if you want a Hot Pastrami with Swiss, you need to read every ingredient of every sandwich until you find "The Point Richmond". The menu lists it having hot pastrami though it doesn't have Swiss. We ordered that. The Point Richmond pastrami was warm. I was thinking it was just warm rather than hot because of, how you say...oh yeah.. Physics. The relitively smallish amount of meat ratio to cool moist vegetables and room temperature Dutch Crunch (Roll) bread couldn't possibly hold heat for more than the minute it took us to get to the outdoor seating. When I looked at the on-line ordering menu at home later. I read that if I want Pastrami and Swiss, I should have ordered The New York, as it has Pastrami (though not heated) and Swiss. I also found out you can order Extra Meat for $3.49 or Double Meat for $5.49. A first timer here would have no clue that they should order extra meat if they want a hot sandwich. The sandwich was fresh and enjoyable. The cashier and the deli person were friendly. It was nice to visit Pt. Richmond after these few years. I might go back and choose the Build Your Own option. "I'll have a Pastrami and Swiss please. Double meat, double Swiss cheese, with horseradish and sharp mustard on the side if you got em. On a Dutch Crunch roll. Heat that bad boy to the hilt please?"

I fondly remember Mr. Zarri's bright smile, and always cheerful demeanor with customers. Although sentimentality can sway a person's opinion, I really do think this deli is worth commending. The sandwiches are simple. Good bread. Fresh deli meats and cheeses. Toppings to order. A true deli equation that is old school, and I happen to love it. There is no "specialty gourmet" angle that will cost you $25 for a sammich...get over it. Although I did have their porchetta sandwich with provolone today, it was really good. I used to get roast beef and Swiss as a youngster. I was helped by a woman with a very nice smile, and an appreciation for my appreciation. There was a cordial younger dude who was friendly and rang me up. But the real sunshine that brightened my day? Seeing Miss Zarri there. As soon as I saw her bright eyes and her always perfectly done hair, all the nostalgia was solidified, and justified. We spoke for a moment and exchanged some positive energy, and it made my already delicious sandwich that much more enjoyable. Stop by sometime, and take a moment to check out the fun stuff they offer. Thank you, folks...you are appreciated.

Great neighborhood deli. It's a shame they're closing end of next month (4/30). That first Poor Boy…read moreDeluxe we got many years ago truly warranted the "poor boy" moniker--a $5 sandwich piled high with ingredients. That and the Reuben still remain our go-tos. However, it's unfortunate that the price has increased while the amount of protein in their sandwiches has declined over the years. Regardless, def will be missed :(

Hearty sandwiches, freshly baked Dutch Crunch…read morerolls, yummy chocolate chip cookies with every order, and such sweet staff that are always so quick and efficient at the El Cerrito location. Typically always grab sandwiches to-go, but pre-pandemic this spot was always bustling inside. While the Mr.Pickle (chicken breast, bacon, avo, cheese) is our typical order, I noticed on this lunch trip they now have wraps/any sando can be made into a wrap. I ordered a Cali Tuna (tuna salad, Swiss cheese, avo, cucumber) in a spinach tortilla..delicious! Fresh, crisp, and felt like it came from an old school mom and pop deli...man, how I miss those! Each wrap/Sando comes with the "works" which essentially is mayo, mustard, garlic sauce, tomato, red onion, pepperoncini, lettuce and pickles..the garlic sauce is delish and kinda their thing! Also to note, they offer veggie and vegan options, and salads. Kiddo menu too! We have a soft spot for their old school mac salad found in the fridge, and their chip varieties. There is something about that feeling you get when you walk into a sandwich spot that is just indescribable..guess I'm just a forever fan of local shops franchise or not. This location has street parking out front (or if push comes to shove, park in the shopping center next door and walk over). Hearty sandwiches, fair pricing, fun interior, smiles upon entry, and just a really cool, well-oiled machine :)

Safeway sandwiches are cheaper and better.I also hate these canned responses where they say thank you. I gave you three stars which frankly is generous. It's not super hard to make a sandwich and I expect quality ingredients. Your sandwich was below par period and no there is no way to make up for expensive mediocre food.
