When I submitted my application and completed my online work, I included my bank information for direct deposit. My first payday came and no money came into my account; after several calls, I was able to get in touch with Julie, who said she would contact payroll to see what was going on and that I should as well. The payroll phone number takes you to an automated system with no hope of reaching a person, let alone getting an answer. Julie later emailed me that my direct deposit info was missing and sent me the attachment to complete. I emailed her my scan with my email and also sent a hard copy via postal, just to be safe.
No response from Julie, so I tried calling the office. No answer, just ringing. I called multiple times until someone picked up, told me Julie wasn't in today, and hung up on me. All my phone call records of their office mysteriously disappeared from my phone, with my next attempts getting nothing but ringing (I used a fellow temp's phone and reached their voicemail).
I don't know what is going on with this business in particular, but this is beyond the professional pale for me and I will never accept another assignment from them. "Losing" my personal bank information, constantly being out of touch via phone and e-mail, and being downright rude on the phone is not how a business should be run. read more
