I had a great experience working with Victor a couple of years ago. He helped me prepare for interviews, get a new résumé created from scratch, and overall he was amazing. Recently, I returned for his services only to be given several missed dates for a promised resume, and complete lack of communication. At this point, he's not even responding to me after he's taken my money to update my resume. I don't know what is going on in his life right now, but if you're not able to support your clients, don't agree to take on their business. I strongly suggest looking for someone else. read more

I've experienced the exact same as others have posted here.... Victor was extremely personable and intelligent. The problem is that he disappears, then provides a resume missing the last 5 years of my work history (which is on full display on LinkedIn where we connected). Asked that he complete the work which was agreed. Havnt heard from Victor since? Tried calling, texting, emailing and no response. Apparently his talk of being a man of God and high ethics were just talk. It's sad because I truly liked Victor and pray he figures out whatever it is in his life that is making him do this to people trusting him with so much personal info. Please refund the money Victor! I connected with Victor on the first call and we agreed on a price for him to update my resume and provide me with a cover letter. We corresponded mostly via email and with in a little over a week Victor provided me with an updated professionally written resume and cover letter. After three weeks of waiting and spotty communication I asked for a refund. He asked for another chance and quickly sent over a rushed, awful resume that I can not use. The people I showed it to laughed and asked if it was for real. Victor has been MIA since and never responded to my complaints or request for a refund. His website is now expired as well. Same exact experience as Michele, Jim & Jeremy I hired Resume Scribes, via a LinkedIn search, to provide a professional resume & cover letter, LinkedIn profile alignment, job search support, 3 months of mock interview & coaching support. Originally, I was only interested in resume services but after two weeks of a very persuasive pitch by Victor Williams, the President, and Founder, I agreed to the above package. Once payment was received, Victor went completely AWOL. It took him weeks to send over a rough draft of his work, I was shocked at the quaintly for being a "professional". I informed him that it needed tweaking and that was far from what I was expecting. After a few more weeks of no communication, I received another hastily thrown together working draft. At that time I knew it was over, I politely asked for my money back. Again, he didn't respond for days/weeks. He claims to have a "satisfaction guarantee", but refuses to honor that or refund my money. I am in the process of attempting to recoup my payment from Resume Scribes via PayPal. His Venmo account is set up as personal and not as a company - this differentiation makes it much harder to get a refund. This man knows what he is doing, he's preying on those in need and covering his tracks the best he can to keep all our money. Before I start I believe you can read some unresolved complaints on the BBB website. I have to agree with the below reviews of Jim and Michele. Victor is really really good at selling. Victor spent quite a lot of time with me on the phone and asked me questions and I was convinced he could do the job. An invoice is sent from Victor along with a questionnaire I filled out to give him more details of my job experience. I get a call the next day from Victor wondering if I received the invoice and when am I going to pay. So I pay the invoice. I wonder why he hasn't sent a preview of my resume since he said he would have it for me in a few days. I contacted Victor. He says I should get it by the weekend. It's Sunday and I wonder why I haven't received it yet. I start to wonder if I have been scammed. I contact Victor again and I believe I finally received it 3 weeks later. I liked the layout but he just reused a lot of what I had on my prior resume. It just seemed rushed. I guess 3 weeks isn't so bad compared to other people's experience at least I got it. I just can't recommend since he wants prompt payment while making over promised preview dates. I should have said something about some of the smaller issues on my preview, but it just becomes a cumbersome process just trying to get it. I also received some additional interview training and he tried to give me a deal for additional services. I just didn't learn enough to justify putting more money towards his services.
