The most shady job "interview " I have ever been to! First off - The staff that calls you in for a "job interview" talked as if they were offing me a specific job. Never did they clarify that this is a STAFFING AGENCY. As a business owner - I'd steer clear of this place. You can only get into a deep hole with the lack of communication and information they are willing to share. As someone looking for a job - RUN! Do not sign their illegal paperwork. Second - When I arrived for the "interview" they had 10 other ppl standing around. It was as if they were hearding cattle in there. The lady at the front desk immediately asks for your personal ID and then hands you over a book to fill out. This is after you've already filled out the online application. The information is repetitive and I do not understand how you cannot just GO GREEN. As I'm scanning and reviewing this "book" of forms they expect me to blindly fill out and sign, I see several red flags. 1st - I thought this was an interview. How do I know that I want to work for/ with you if I haven't spoken to you first? 2nd - Why are you asking me to fill out these forms if I don't know if I want to agree to work for/ with you? 3rd - How am I to know if I am accepting or declining your insurance IF I still don't know ... ANY OF THE ABOVE? 4th - You want me to sign off on many statements that start with "I HAVE RECEIVED, READ & REVIEWED xyz" but you haven't given me this information. *** To make matters worst, when I asked your employee for a copy of all these forms to take home and review, she said WE DON'T DO THAT. Excuse me??? What do you mean ?!? You can't expect someone to just sign off on something that is FALSE. 5th - You cannot ask any employee in the state of CA to GIVE UP THERE MEAL BREAKS! It is ______ to work more than 5 hrs with out taking a break. SHAME ON YOU FOR ASKING THIS OF YOUR EMPLOYEES. Moving on - I was called back by a young lady instead of the gentleman Max M. who I had been speaking too and who had set up this interview. The young lady was in the middle of training another "interviewer." When we sat down in the very crowded and loud office, she noticed that I didn't have things signed or filled out. I let her know why. She looked at her trainee very confused. I asked her for the paperwork that I'm supposed to read up on. She said they don't have it but she could look for it and email it. (THIS WAS NEVER DONE) I also let her know that I couldn't sign off on the sections that stated "training was received" since I hadn't received said training. Her answer was "We don't do it. We just have ppl sign for it." What in the world?!?!? With all this said and done, I highly recommend avoiding this place of business. read more

My company has been working with Exact Staff for about a year now. A lot of agencies have come through our door, and I'll tell you why Exact Staff should be your go-to staffing agency. First, they didn't show up with useless stationery, or worse, those cheap headphones with their name plastered on them....I could start a headphone store with all the useless headphones I get from staffing agencies. I just need a business card, maybe a pamphlet. If I wanted headphones, I'd look on Amazon. Take note other agencies and STOP making headphones - they're tacky, and useless. That's like if I owned an ice cream shop, but I went around giving people promotional belt buckles. I think one some the most underrated qualities, and perhaps some of the most ignored in staffing agencies are having your recruiter be 1) determined to find you a job and 2) treat you like a human being. Alessa Rogers goes above and beyond in this arena in several ways. 1) She actually read my resume. While it seems like a basic part of the entry process many recruiters don't actually do this, or if they do, they rarely pay attention to your entries. She combed through and saw different opportunities waiting for me with each entry. 2) She provides options. My experience goes from teaching, to warehouse, to administrative work. While my resume was tailored for a specific area she asked for my experience and gave options according to what she heard. Options that were tailored my range of experiences which is not only a relief but it let me know she had my best job interest in mind. 3) She follows up. She is great with the details you need to know when setting up an interview for you! You won't have any questions because she'll have covered it all. If she doesn't she makes herself available if you do and responds promptly. Aleesa is a determined and capable recruiter, she helps you get the job you need and is mindful about any worries you may have including distance, wage, experience, etc. Overall, my job hunting has been facilitated by Alessa. 10/10 would recommend Aleesa Rogers at Exactstaff in the Woodland Hills Office. read more

I went to this agency three years ago to meet with a recruiter about getting temp work. She spent an hour talking to me and acted as if she was going to help me find a job. Weeks went by and I never heard from her. I called to ask her why she never called me and she said they didn't have any jobs for me. I highly doubt she was telling the truth. It would have been better if she told me the real reason why she never called me. Completely forgetting the name of the agency that wasted my time and never confronted me about why they didn't want to find work for me, I made an appointment to meet with a recruiter at this agency. As I was driving I realized this was the place I went to three years ago. I called to say I had been there before and I gave them my social security number. I wasn't in their system! I didn't bother going in a second time when I knew the same thing would happen again. Another thing that bothers me about this place is that they don't give you a heads up about the parking situation. There is a parking structure where you can pay for parking but they won't validate your parking fee. You can try to find free parking on the street but it's very hard to find a free parking spot. read more

Exact Staff, Woodland Hills office is a great company to work with. Their staff is dedicated and will try their absolute best to get you the right job. Customer Service: All of the staff in the office is very warm and welcoming. The girls who set up your interviews are super polite and will try to get you in ASAP, to make sure you don't miss out on a job opportunity! Don't forget this is a staffing agency, therefore you're going to see a lot of people coming in and out of the office. Put it this way, if there's a line to meet with someone at that office, you know it's a good company to come talk too. Location: The office is located next to a Trader Joe's. Make sure that you don't park in their parking lot, you'll get towed! If you have a early appointment you can score some free parking in the bark of the building! But if your not an early bird there's a parking structure, on the side of the building. They charge per 20 min, and it's a $12 daily max. Don't forget there's residential parking too across the street! Cleanliness: The office is very clean and organized. Upon entering you'll see the receptionist and there's about 7-8 chairs for you to pick from. Timeliness: You can be in & out of the office within about 1 hour - 1.5 hours. It all depends on how long it takes you to fill out the necessary paperwork...& also how many people are waiting to be seen. I'd come in expecting to be in the office for about 2 hours. Asked for Exact Staff's help just last Thursday 11/29/2018 as I need a temp assistant to fill in my assistant's position while she's in a family emergency leave. By Friday, they sent me 2 people to interview. It didn't work out but I called them right after and I explained a little more in detail what I wanted and by today, Monday 12/3/2018, they sent me one person to interview and I hired her on the spot! If you are serious about job placement you should consider going somewhere else. After Exact reviewed my resume I was contacted to come into the Oxnard office for an interview. While sitting in the waiting room I got to know some of the people. One person had been sitting there for over a 1 1/2 past her appointment time, with no updates as to when she would be going in. I was asked to sign a release of liability form that had been copied so many times that it was no longer readable. My appointment was only 20 min late. The interview room was small with 4 people and desks all talking on the phone at the same time. I was promised the world and "Slimmy" (not his real name} was so impressed with my resume, and promised to pass my it on to 3 different companies. Never heard back from "Slimmy", even after calling him to find out progress. Based on previous reviews and my experience do not waste your time. I see no benefit from working with this company. read more

I was looking for a job for quite some time and I had stumbled across one of their job postings. I got a call and I made the appointment. I had never been to a recruiter agency so I was a little confused. I sat down and they made it seem like it was going to be easy and that I would find a job, maybe not a permanent one but i'd be making money. This is where it gets good though, exact staff offered me a job. They asked me to work in their office and be apart of their company. I said sure, I came in one day and they said to come back again but then changed their mind. The lady who offered me the job wasn't even there when I began working. After working the one day they said i did really well and Id be hearing back from them. I NEVER heard back from them. Not for a new job, not for their job, NOTHING. Can a company lack such professionalism that they can't even call someone to let them know whether or not they have a job? They are a recruiter company!! I resigned from my previous position on 7/1/2015 and had already met with a few staffing agencies that did not do what I needed, & moved with no sense of urgency. I was unemployed, it's urgent! At Exact Staff, Gina was on top of everything, was very straightforward, & I honestly enjoyed speaking to her every single time. While other agencies made me feel like my minimum and ideal income were too high for my experience, Gina surpassed my expectations with what she brought me. I was very excited to start fresh with this agency but that was crippled due to the lack of professionalism. It started with a few email exchanges before I ended up interviewing with Liz. The building was nice and after filling out a small stack of paperwork and a nice conversation with the receptionist, I was ready for an "interview". This is where things got very bad. While I sat down ready to answer questions, Liz took a phone call from her desk phone. I didn't think anything of it until a bit later her cell phone started to vibrate in the middle of asking me questions for the interview. To my surprise she took the call and started to briefly talk with a family member. After waiting patiently she proceeded to ask me questions in which I tried to answer but for sake of saving her time she wrote down what she thought was equivalent or enough. I brushed it off and we continued the interview. She stops me again before I could answer another question to tell the office she found a babysitter so she could have half day or something. I should have walked out right there but I let her finish. Completely unprofessional and extremely rude. Before I left and before a salary or pay was discussed I was told I might have to report to work that same day. That was a bit surprising since I hadn't formally accepted anything. Also what really made my gears grind was the scheduling. When applying for the position it was stated to have open availability but the shifts were listed so you could chose which times worked best for you. That was definitely just to get people to apply because they wanted me to be on call. I was very disappointed with the process and especially with my interview. It left a very sour taste in my mouth and I cannot recommend this agency to anyone. read more

I recently left my job of 12 years and started searching all the job boards for a new position. I came across an ad that fit me perfectly and Exact Staff was the contact to do the hiring. I responded to the ad, exchanged a few emails with Aleesa Rogers and we scheduled an appointment for 9am March 16th 2016. I followed her instructions to fill out the online forms and mark Woodland Hills. She then instructed me to come prepared in case I would start this "Full Time" job today which I did. I arrive at 8:45am and tell the front desk woman I have an appointment for a position with Aleesa. She then tells me that Aleesa didn't turn in any papers for me and nobody there was a aware who I was. I then ask for Aleesa and was told she isn't the person you will see or discuss this with in person. Looking around and seeing how I was handled left me feeling like a guinea pig just to get me in the door then from there they would first attempt to get me any kind of work if possible. I chose to come knowing it was for one specific position which ended up being a scam. Before coming in I chose to give this company a chance since while I was the GM at my last office position I hired temps from this company with the help of Nancy. Now that the tables were turned and I was treated like one of many that were sitting in their waiting room. Very disappointed, especially with how Aleesa Rogers handled this. read more

It is difficult to find staffing agencies that are ethical and conscientious and about job placements. Exact Staff placed me in a temporary position and the agent told me that the position would likely become permanent. After accepting the position and working several months into the role, I found out that the agent lied just to get me to accept. This was a high level admin position and they paid me almost half of the permanent salary. After completing the position I was offered a job reference. I emailed exact staff and called to follow up to collect on the job reference, I have not received an email nor phone call. read more
