As a follow-up....after contacting him MANY MANY MANY times, threatening legal action, and finally getting ahold of his family to help us out...we were able to get him to send us our video. He sent the raw unedited footage on tapes, and we had to pay someone else to get it converted ourselves (though that was supposed to be in the original price). Not to mention that it's totally unedited, so it's 3hrs long. The footage is OK, although I have to give him some credit for capturing at least all the major events at the wedding. He got a few decent shots in there. The major issue with the footage is that anytime a song played in the background (ie, during the baarat, ceremony, cocktail hour, first dance, family dances, etc)...there is a horrible static sound. I think it has to do with the bass and some sort of feedback on his camera mic. That's pretty irritating. At this point, I'm just happy we finally have our video!! But I reiterate - if you don't want to go through the drama I (and others) went through, then your best bet is to hire someone else for your wedding! read more
