Dr. Minaker showed up the next day (not on call) to check on him and to answer any questions I might have. He has been kind, but matter of fact; which I like. If you call him, he will return your call very quickly. He doesn't have you come in for a cold in order to rack up money. He is cautious, but does not induce anxiety with his explanations. My children have had to undergo several procedures and I wouldn't let any other physician perform them with as much ease and comfort as I did with Dr. Minaker. He has a team of doctors that sees his patients if he isn't on that day. I like that he is in his own office. The number of patients in his waiting room, sharing germs, is limited. Also, he and his staff KNOW my family. It isn't a revolving door of patients like an office that has 3-4 doctors sharing a building. He secretaries can be curt depending on which day you catch them. But they will help you handle any financial or insurance situation with grace and understanding. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Also, he is on-call on Sundays!

Physicals are very quick and impersonal and it does not appear that records like past levels of cholesterol are kept. It's on the patient to monitor whether or not cholesterol levels are going up or down after getting them tested every year.

That must be what what extends your short visits to 60 minutes. I am surprised this practice is not illegal and not getting audited for their shady business practices. Shame on you!

Hip Still Not Right - Need a Hip Replacement Revision…read more I had an anterior hip replacement with Dr. Andrew Porter. I am 56 years old and average weight. I had arthritis in my hip joints, thanks to genetics, and needed my hip replaced. Surgery with Dr. Porter went as planned, so I thought... Shortly after surgery, I noticed something was off. I had had my other hip replaced 7 years ago, so I was familiar with the recovery process. Unfortunately, my hip was painfully popping out of the socket and back in. I kept going to Dr. Porter telling him something wasn't right. Dr. Porter said I needed to continue with physical therapy, which I did. It is still no better after 5 months of therapy, and my range of motion is very limited. Dr. Porter told me a revision would also limit my range of motion and be more invasive than the first surgery. He basically tried to talk me out of fixing my hip. I can't live like this. I can't even walk properly. Needless to say. I never went back. Do not let the pain rush you into surgery. I should have waited for a more experienced surgeon.

I recently had to get a Covid test prior to a flight and a negative result no longer than 48 hours prior to arrival was necessary. Since the flight was 19 hours that left a very short window. I contacted Dr. Cunningham and had a test scheduled within the hour and the results back the next morning.
