After the estate sale, they had resellers buy things in bulk (such as books), and Habitat charity come last of all and they took quite a bit. Then the cleanout crew for trash and recycling. Victoria started the process by looking over the house and giving her opinion that there was enough of value to start the process within no payment up front. This was good to know, as we all have a budget. In the end, the proceeds did not cover all the costs but TBH, it came in less than I'd budgeted so we were happy. Just keep in mind that your mileage may vary. Understand up front their pricing philosophy, and that a lot of the items may go to bulk buyers who offer much less. My concern was finding a useful home for as many items as possible but knew that in the end there would be a lot going to trash and recycling. We were looking at a lifetime of accumulations.
