This review is for Nate Naness's team, specifically Ian Sosa, who is renting 1314 Addison St and still has it listed DESPITE it actually "not having valid rental license" leaving us in the lurch 7 days before our agreed on move in date. Unacceptably bad. We were working with Ian Sosa to rent 1314 Addison St (which is still listed as available to rent). I'm just going to give the facts: - Ian missed the tour we had scheduled because he had put it on the wrong week on his calendar - He told us the pet fee was $25 (it was $50), and that there were no late fees (there is a $100 late fee) - He encouraged us to apply, but after we spent money on applications, he told us actually the landlord doesn't have his renter's license so he dragged his feet getting us a lease - He got us a lease about a week later, it was incomplete and incorrect: missed the microwave, lead disclosure was not filled out, and that's when we noticed some inaccuracies about the late fees and payment methods - He demands we sign the lease immediately, though we ask if we can put down a deposit to hold the unit and sign after we get to see it in person, he insists we sign it sight unseen - We reluctantly agree, but ask about virtual rent payment to see if we can be sure to avoid that $100 late fee (mailing by check can be slow) - He tells us 7 DAYS BEFORE AGREED MOVE IN that actually THERE IS NO RENTAL LICENSE and he has to "rescind the lease" that he was pushing us JUST 2 days ago to sign immediately This was by far the most unprofessional rental experience I have ever gone through. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! This is my second review, I believe the first was removed. if I could give this company a negative 5 stars I would. I had the worse agent, her main concern was to make commission for her and the seller agent who was also a Keller Williams agent. She made an agreement to raise the asking price of the property lying to me to convince me it would be a clear sale. She knew nothing about how to handle a veteran using a VA loan, no of the repairs with in the agree were done except caulking. Whenever I asked for a status either she did not know or she gave me a run around answer. I completed my final walkthrough ALONE, in which she texted me 30 minutes later to see if I was still in the property. When I received my closing disclosure I was not allowed the 3 days regulated by TRID for review and was passively threatened by her broker to close. I was so disappointed I did not even want her at my closing. After I closed at 3pm I was told the title company would have the keys which they said my agent should have provided whereas she did not answer my phone calls or text in order for me to receive the keys to my property. Approximately 3.5 hours later she replied with the location of the keys. I have several text messages that shows how incompetent my agent was. AGAIN BUYER DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF A REALTOR. Also I have not heard from the agent since she told me where the keys were located. read more

I bought a house in through a real estate agent and her broker in 2020 while I was living on the west coast and had an amazing experience and gladly reengaged with Keller 3 weeks ago to purchase another house, this time in Baltimore although dealing with 2 agents, Jamie Lily and Marlena Williams and their broker, Dan Bouchard and what a let down. Marlena was very pushy and pushed me hard to make a decision on house I was considering then she wrote up the as-is contract without properly explaining to me what that meant. Later, after water was discovered sitting on the roof and I wanted a consideration from the seller to address that issue, instead of going immediately to request it she argued with me, telling me that you I couldn't because I did an as-is contract. After much back and forth, she finally did as I asked and the seller agreed. A week before close, I drove back up to Baltimore with Jamie Lily to look at the property and see what it would need to have done before it was move in ready and I discovered that there was a lock alley between my house and next door so that I could not access the side of my property. I asked Jamie to look into that and tell me what could be done and her idea of "looking into it" was to tell me on Friday, almost a week later, that she couldn't find out anything and had left a couple of messages with the city. As soon as I heard this, I did my own digging which entailed using Google and calling 2 different brokers and I was able to find out that I did have several avenues to address this but now not enough time to do so before closing because we'd lost an entire week due to inaction by the real estate agents. When I complained about this to Jamie I was met with a hostile email telling me basically what I had to do which was close on Monday and of course, trying to cover her rear end. The broker, Dan Brouchard reached out to me, and, while he was able to clearly articulate the situation, something neither Marlena nor Jamie had been able to do, he was also didn't have any solution to present. I emailed the title company and was able to get confirmation on what I'd found out from the other brokers I'd called and I have a solution and way forward, it won't happen now until after I close. Later, when it was time to do the final walkthrough, I told them I didn't have time to go to Baltimore as I'd spent most of my weekend addressing an issue that they caused by their inaction and now had things to do, they refused to do a video walkthrough, pretending this wasn't an option when I know that it is because last year I had bought a house from the west coast and did not have to fly out to do a final walkthrough. The tone of the emails and the text messages from this terrible trio did nothing but inflame an already bad situation. Never will I use Keller again nor recommend them to anyone else read more

Spring of 2012 my husband and I were getting ready to look at buying a house. I was really dreading this, we didn't know where we wanted to live exactly (within Alexandria) nor if we wanted to buy a house or a condo or a town home. We went to an open house one Sunday in our neighborhood, and we met Paul Granneman. I couldn't get over how nice he was, and not in the "fake sales guy" kind of way a lot of realtors come across. I can't vouch for this KW office as a whole, but I do recommend Paul Granneman -- he was on top of everything when our bank wasn't, and was always on time when we met up with him, and was easy to work with from start to finish. Also, their office is right on the GW Pkwy, and they have parking, so it's easy to get to their office. read more

He sold us a home warranty company (no doubt he got a kick back), and as a result of a shotty HVAC installation by this company I now have HUGE water damage to my house. The buyer didn't pay income tax that caused closing process delay big time! then Buyer offer us to pay $80 a day until the closing day so we agreed. time goes by a few days before closing day our buyer change their mind they didn't want pay $80 but $50 so Angie McDaniel decided pay the difference so we agreed but we didn't received the money guess what? Here is her response "Remember the conversation we had at the beginning of all this about you paying me to oversee the renovations? Well I can send you an invoice for that work and also add the $500 that Erin paid for repairs from the inspection, plus the yard work and the cleaning. You would actually end up owing us several hundred dollars, not the other way around. Would you like that invoice? Or do you want to call it a wash and walk away? I'm completely disgusted by your behavior, especially as a naval officer. Extremely unbecoming. By the way you're welcome for getting your house sold. Once I was assigned Erin she met with me, got a good sense of what I was looking for, and my priority list in buying a home. She was patient and guided me through the entire process, from the home inspection to the closing. All of her professional recommendations (home inspector, title company) were on target and I was pleased from beginning to end. #AaronPodolsky is awful - does not answer calls. The front desk that manages his calls likes to treat renters like sh*t. In the specific case a Cameron Station rental showed up. The individual at the front desk told me that here is Aaron's number when I called her. Literally and rudely - without a spine person. #withoutspine. The property I was looking for was in Cameron Station. This individual was asked politely - Aaron has not been answering his calls since the previous night and I have been filling out forms on realtor.com. NO apologies from this person. I asked her specifically - is Aaron working today. She proceeds to tell me - NO. aha! as if that did not strike her when I first called and inquired about Aaron. I asked her who could help. She once again had no clue. I again reiterated that I needed to see the property today! She replied a member of Aaron's team is sick. Please don't go with them. I had an awful experience. My home is in pre foreclosure because of unemployment. A realtor, Ann Shack, pasted a sticker on my storm door saying she was an advocate for homeowners and could help. I called her and everything seemed great at first. Then I had to move suddenly for a job out of state. She made promises that she would deal with my homeowner's association and find out how much I owed, but didn't. She promised she would delay an HOA court date regarding how much I owed for my fees. She didn't do that either. Then, she promised she would ultimately even go to court to explain to the judge how the HOA had refused to work with me. She looked right at me and said she would take care of it all. ....crickets...... I trusted this woman to fix everything. Hell, she said she had a Keller Williams lawyer she could tap into in order to get some leverage to get my homeowner's association to stop being so unethical, and to give me the correct amount I owed----there were at least 3 separate amounts I owed to them, which made no sense. When the court date came and went, she just didn't show up though. When I reached out asking her about what happened almost a week later, she nonchalantly said she didn't go. Really??? Thanks!!! So much for counting on her to take care of everything while I started my new job 600 miles away. So yay---now I have a judgement against me because she didn't follow through with what she said she would do, help me. I asked her how she would fix this mess. No response. So I called her broker (boss), Shane McCullar, in Old Town Alexandria and told him everything. He was extremely rude and refused to do anything, saying it's not his job to fix this issue. He basically seemed to think this entire fiasco was funny and that I should have known she was lying to me from the start. Really? Because I'm NOT a realtor and this was my first home! He told me that I should fire her and that she had no right to tell me she would get the Keller Williams attorneys involved in any of this and that her saying all these things could put his OWN license in jeopardy. So, he was only concerned with himself! Still no one would help me. No offer of help. He did say he would pull my listing from Keller Williams because he said he didn't want it. Now I've got a defunct realtor who has lied on me on numerous occasions, and her boss who refused to help. There's no accountability with Keller Williams. If you have an issue, all you'll hear is each office is individually owned and whomever owns them can do whatever they want. I told Ann Shack to take me off the listing and she was fired, which is what I did based on her boss' recommendations. I had enough. Too many lies for me to trust the company or the real estate agent. That was a week ago. Guess what I found out today? My house is still listed on the Keller Williams website. I confronted Ann Shack by saying my house is still listed and she said no it isn't. Where'd she get that? From her Broker who told me to sue her? Wow---what a great boss! NOT In conclusion, Ann Shack, with Keller Williams, is not an advocate from my experience. She's another vulture living in the DC area who preys on people going through a difficult time. I looked at two properties in the DC area being sold through KW, both were extremely over priced. I feel their God first strategy (see their website) gives them the sense it's okay to inflate client expectations. When looking at comps they ignore real data like sq footage and lack of improvements compared to the comp property. I also found agents a little arrogant. If you have half a brain you can see their prices are in favor of commissions and not in line with current economic indicators. In my opinion they are leading the way for more debt in America. read more

Jinna assisted me with the purchase my 4th home. She is unquestionably the most responsive, attentive and knowledgeable real estate agent I've worked with. I was amazed at how she provided clear and complete answers to all of my questions which provided comfort to what can be a rather tedious process. I had started my home with another agent prior to meeting Jinna. That agent was unattentive...seemed like she just couldn't be bothered. So, I found a home on my own and decided to call the listing agent directly. Jinna answered my call and the rest is history. I knew right away that she would be the agent that would help me find a home that was just right for me. She showed me several homes and provided no pressure to purchase. She emphasized the fact that she was happy to help me look at several homes. She wanted to be sure I was excited about the home I eventually purchased. She responded to my questions not within days, but within minutes. She has connections with the community that were great as well. She even provided a cleaning service company to me that left my home spotless. Jinna makes you feel like you're a part of the family and provides the same level of expertise and care that would be provided to a family member. Wow! If I purchase another home or have friends who seek to purchase a home, it is Jinna I will recommend. She is a true professional. Well done! read more

Moving away from my family, he was insensitive to my needs of a multi-room, multi-bathroom home. He lied to us about the property we ended up renting and was not willing to work with us at all. I ended up calling the property owner myself and was pleasantly surprised with how kind he was. This just reaffirmed how big of a jerk Jimmy really was.
