Terrible business practice. I made an appointment 7 days out. They advised me that they had a 48 hour cancellation policy. That was on point. They asked for my card and charged me $100 I assumed as a holding place. I cancelled the next day - giving 7 days notice. They told me they were keeping the $100 !! They claim they told me about this policy - which was NOT true (they apparently did tell my sister who made an appointment separately from me). I told them this wasn't acceptable. I received a call from the "manager " who lied and said she was standing by the receptionist and "heard" her repeated their policy THREE times. B.S.! The manager kept interrupting me, talking over me and when aggressively told her to stop interrupting me, she called me a "horrible person" and said they would refund the $100 but I would never be welcome to their practice. Unprofessional, rude, and the policy of charging $100 just for making an appointment regardless of a 7 day cancellation speaks for itself. THE worst office staff experience one can have. They're incompetent, unthorough, & even rude: I just called & asked for the current 'office manager', who was the person I thought I'd spoken to last time. The person who answered (who called herself 'the owner', but not the doctor),= kept asking me where I was calling from & what I wanted. I told her Santa Barbara twice, & the same as above, then she calmly said she will hang up, & when I expressed my surprise, she actually hung up on me! It was surreal! They advertise perpetually in the local paper, which is worthless & necessary with this kind of attitude, because word-of-mouth certainly won't keep them busy! I'm done with them for good! read more

It's taken me years to gather the courage to write this review. Keller performed a rhinoplasty on me in 2014, and completely botched my face, causing physical disfigurement, emotional trauma and health issues, completely putting my life on hold for years. 11 double-board certified plastic surgeons across LA and SF areas refused to work on my nose, saying it was beyond repair. To summarize- the tip completely collapsed due to completely lacking bridge support as it was shaved down too far, it completely veered to the left, worsening over time and and over the years, due to the lack of bridge support and uneven work, the nose continued to warp in various places. Before the surgery, I did not experience any pain or breathing issues, but ended up with numbness and pain in my nose for years after the surgery to name just a few issues. The surgical notes proved that errors were made in the surgery that caused the disfigurements. Additionally, Keller placed some of the cartilage he had removed in my scalp during the surgery and later told me "in case you need a revision in the future." At the time, I thought this was standard practice to keep cartilage but I have never spoken to another person whose received a rhinoplasty who had their cartilage saved essentially as a lump in their scalp. After the surgery, Keller did not try to make amends or even admit to the wrongdoings, saying my nose was so horrible in the first place, this was the best it was going to be. After showing photos of myself prior to the surgery with Keller to other surgeons, they all disagreed on this and agreed that my nose was a normal, healthy nose that simply needed some aesthetic improvements to make me the best version of myself. After paying a significant sum for my surgery with Keller, I had to pay twice as much as Keller charged me for a revision rhinoplasty, revision septoplasty, and now needed turbinoplasty, rib grafting and ear grafting from my body to try to to deal with Keller's mistakes. I strongly urge anyone looking for a rhinoplasty to stay far away from this doctor and to not make the same mistake I did in trusting him. read more

I wonder how many other patients have had poor results like mine but are too embarrassed to write a review? My mistake was to trust Dr. Keller. On September 8, 2018, he gave me a brow, face, and neck lift. As you can see, I have horrible scarring on both sides of my face. My brows are uneven enough that I had to have microblading to cover up the difference. My results are embarrassing and depressing enough that it affects my daily life. I have had a horrible experience with this office. They do not have ethical book keeping practices. On two separate occasions, after an appointment post-treatment, I was told I had no more treatments left (when I actually had two left). I had to talk with the receptionist for an hour about over billing me and incorrect accounting all while 'convincing' her I still had two treatments left (she acted like I was lying). When I asked for an itemized receipt/invoice on several occasions, they refused to send one. When I finally had enough dealing with them over several months, I asked for a refund for the services not yet rendered. They send me an invoice which has a balance due on it and erroneous charges from a credit card company I don't even use. When I tried to discuss this with their office manager, she hung up on me. It would have been much simpler for them to fix the problem by refunding me the money I paid for services never rendered to me. I am really hoping they make this right soon. I had a rhinoplasty with Keller in 2017. His work was so botched that 6 other plastic surgeons refused to work on my nose saying that it was basically beyond repair. When I finally went to a revision specialist, the surgeon said it was one of the worst noses he's ever operated on and my nose was infinitely better before Keller touched it. The tip completely collapsed which caused the entire nose to veer to the right, giving it a curved look. He also unnecessarily shaved down the bridge making it flatter. Before the operation my nose was straight; post surgery, my nose completely collapsed so far to the right, people would frequently ask me if I was in a fight because of the unnatural positioning. To even further contextualize it: the revision specialist I went to post-post Keller operated on my nose for eight hours because of the damage. Regardless, when I initially brought my concern up Keller him, he told me I was dramatic and dismissed his results. Really professional. I can easily say that going to Keller was one of the worst mistake of my life. I highly suggest you find an adept surgeon whose hands don't shake and doesn't take short cuts in operations. read more

He has operated on me twice, and both times has achieved amazing results. No one knows I had a facelift, I am not over pulled, I just look...younger. I can not say enough wonderful things about Dr. Keller and his amazing staff. Everyone who works there is kind, compassionate and caring. I went to my initial consultation wanting a small procedure for my neck. This was the area I felt had changed the most and would help me feel better about how I looked. Both Dr. Keller and Olga took the time to talk to me about the different options and what I could expect from them. I talked to them multiple times because I wasn't sure which direction to go. Going in at first I was not thinking of facial plastic surgery or surgery for my eyes, I was only focused on my neck. Also, I had never had any injectables, fillers, etc. and I didn't want to use any of these methods as it would mean going back on a regular basis to keep up the enhancements. After researching the different procedures, different doctors, and seeing the amazing results that can be achieved from surgery I decided to have deep plane facial surgery, upper and lower blepharoplasty, a neck lift, lip lift and CO2 laser. Researching and reading up on Dr. Keller made me feel I was going to be in extremely capable hands.The day of my surgery I felt remarkably calm and had a great deal of trust in Dr. Keller and his surgical abilities. Post surgery was uncomfortable, with very minor pain. I had drains in for a few days to help aid in healing. I definitely did not enjoy having the drains. Also, sleeping in a reclining position took a bit of getting used too. Dr Keller was professional, personable and his office staff, nurses, and anesthesiologist were great to work with through it all. I was really nervous about getting a face lift and Dr Keller talked me through it and really understood what I wanted. The result is very natural and I look like me just 20 years younger. I also had very little bleeding and my recovery is going very well. Following a facelift performed by Dr. Keller, I have permanent nerve damage and chronic neuropathic pain in every area this surgeon touched. Back in December, I wrote a review describing my experience in detail but was then threatened with a lawsuit by Dr. Keller and his wife for "defamation and libel". Dealing with my chronic pain was enough and I thought it would be better for me to just erase this entire experience from my memory in whatever way I could including deleting my review. But then I realized that i would be doing patients an injustice by removing it. I regret doing that. (I am a physician myself, so I feel a great deal of responsibility towards patients). Side note, defamation and libel require that the person writing the review is claiming things that are false. In praise of the Keller Plastic Surgery and his Team: I am not a man who is prone to writing reviews, yet I feel compelled to do so regarding my incredible experience, both pre-op and post-op with Dr. Gregory S. Keller in Santa Barbara, CA. I am a 60 year old, male, and this is my experience: I recently had several procedures performed by Dr. Keller; A lower neck lift, a chin implant, a lower facelift, one large mole removed from the side of my nose and a procedure known as "Facetite". After doing all of my due diligence, through personal contacts as well as the World Wide Web, I quickly realized how many different opinions, options and results there are out there. Obviously, no two bodies are alike in their healing abilities, so there was not just one answer. After much contemplation, I reached out to set up a consultation with Dr. Keller and his Office Manager, Olga Becerra, to evaluate my needs and concerns. I will admit that fear was a part of the equation in the beginning, but the calm assured approach taken by Dr. Keller and Olga in that initial meeting, allayed almost all of it. I had been listening to a friend that had never gone through any facial cosmetic surgery, and after speaking with Dr. Keller, I realized how much of a mistake that was. "Note to Self: "Anyone who has not gone through a procedure should ever be consulted about a procedure." I made the decision to move forward and here is how that played out. The day prior to my surgery, I spent an hour in a Hyperbaric Chamber, having my body infused with oxygen to aid in the healing time. The following day, I arrived at the surgical center at 6:30 a.m. and was greeted by Lila Elizarraras. Everyone in that facility went out of his or her way to make certain that I was as comfortable as possible while prepping me for the surgery. Coming out of the fog at around 3:00 p.m., I found myself at home, with no recollection of traveling there, as the anesthesia was still doing its job apparently. The first two days were the most uncomfortable, not painful, just uncomfortable due to some medical drains that were temporarily implanted to aid in the healing process. During the first 5 days, I slept in a recliner chair in my living room, which was very comfortable, so that I could not easily flip flop around at night. Day 7 I was back in my office tending to business as usual. I was nervous on my first outing, not sure of people's reactions. True to Dr. Keller's words, no one really could "put their finger on what was different". They all just said things like; "Did you lose some weight?" "Have you been working out, you look great!" Not one person asked if I had any 'work done' on my face or neck. I am now on day 10 and am living my life as if I never had surgery just a short time ago. The overall experience was not a bad one at any level, believe me, as I am really a chicken when it comes to pain! These procedures that I have had done have completely changed my life, and I wish I had reached out to Dr. Keller years ago. My body is in the best shape of my life, but my face and neck did not match that, and now, I have no complaints! I am ecstatic with the results. I don't leave bad reviews because whenever I have a problem, I fix it and give the business the opportunity to do so, as well. Unfortunately what happened with me is something Dr. Keller probably knows nothing about, as Olga (I believe she is the office manager) put up a wall between my concerns and actually getting my problem solved with kindness and dignity. I had filler done for the first time and something happened to my lip where it now looks like a scar above my vermilion line. I believe a simple injection of the filler reversal would do the trick. After a couple times of making an appointment to come in to have Dr. Keller look at it, and having the times cancelled and rescheduled (the day before or on the actual day of the appt). I was finally in the chair waiting to see him. Olga walks in and tell me Dr. Keller was not in that day. I was surprised no one bothered to call me and let me know before I set aside aside time, drove all the way there and got into a room during Covid, to tell me this. The first thing she says to me is, "you can roll your eyes all you want..." and then proceeds to give reason as to why he wasn't in. Needless to say, I found this tasteless and unethical scheduling and business practices, but kept it to myself and agreed to come back. Olga told me to text her the next week and assured me that not only did she see what was concerning on my face, but that she would make things right and again made sure I texted her the following Monday (which I did, with no answer). I called the office and left a message to let her know I was waiting for a reply. She got back to me the next day with a message that contained a back-handed apology to her not getting back to me yet again, explaining I was going to be the only patient coming in and was asking if I could come at a later time...only to finish the statement with something to the fact that Dr. Keller had a few injections to do and the reversal injection (that was reported to have been ordered for me before) had to be ordered again. The message is comedy, really and this story is insane, I know. I called her back within 5 minutes and left her a message, letting her know I'd be there at the time she's changed it to (with no fuss whatsoever). I arrive the next day to have the woman at the front desk scramble to get Olga out to talk to me... (here we go again). She comes out and says to me "you never called me back!" I replied I certainly had. She then replied that I will have to wait (as I see a woman go back for her treatment). So, I am sitting here thinking to myself that I cannot be treated like this any further. I left. I have no idea if Dr. Keller even knows any of what has conspired since he injected me, but I am disgusted by the tasteless, rude, unprofessional and unethical practice of the front desk. I was treated like I was Olga's 5 year old child, rather than a patient client who gave into numerous time changes, rude exchanges and unnecessary visits when the doctor never even saw me again. I was even willing and expecting to pay for this reversal, but Olga assured me that this was something Dr. Keller would want to 'make right'. Unfortunately he doesn't have the chance to do so as it's nearly impossible to get past this woman who seems to stone-wall anyone she deems unfit for the basic and decent treatment all patients deserve. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Keller, his brilliant UCLA Fellows, and his amazing staff! I have been going to Dr. Keller for over 20 years and have referred friends who have had eyelid surgery (following my own!), face lift, and hair restoration. Dr. Keller even saw my mom and repaired an emergency-room suture job following a traumatic airport accident at no charge. The hospitality here is great. The receptionist are very professional and really strive to accommodate the clients. The reception area is tranquil and relaxing. The reception desk has a window that slides close when private matters are being discussed between the Doctor and the staff. Yes, the staff had some issues before, so I get the reviews there (it was hard to book for a while, callbacks were spotty, and there was some turnover in between), but that's typical for SB honestly. When it comes down to it, I'm not there for the staff, I'm there for the doctor, and Keller is skilled in the art of looking young without looking Orange County. I've seen his work in person many times, and you'd never know. In the meantime, I've come back for the Rejuvalase spa and love the new building and staff. I recently had a consult with Dr.Keller. i came in and was interested in a facelift. The whole process from beginning to end was a nightmare. The front desk staff seemed to be so confused and all over the place. I waited 30 minutes in the lobby before i was called back to take rediculous photos and then waited another 20 in the room to see the doctor. When ge finally came in i was called by the wrong name. During the consult Dr.Keller turned on a presentation that was all over the place and almost put me to sleep. I just wanted to get a direct answer or recommendation on what i should do. At one point he lost his thought and completely forgot what he was saying. When he was assessing my face his hands were shaking as he touched my cheeks. I had a most unfortunate experience with Dr. Gregory Keller. The morning of my surgery, his hands were shaking so much I was fearful and wish I'd called it off right then and there. However, I had already paid a large sum of money and hoped for the best because some of his photos online looked impressive. In hindsight, I believe many of those pictures were taken several years ago. I don't know if Dr. Keller has lost his surgical skill (I noticed his hands shaking during follow-up visits too) or just had a bad day when he performed my surgery, but in the aftermath, I have permanent nerve damage to one side of my face and my once-pretty smile will never be the same due to drooping. Additionally, I have had two corrective surgeries and will require at least a third, but cannot afford to do it at this time. The emotional anguish and many thousands of dollars spent trying to correct this has been devastating. If I could go back, I'd choose a different surgeon. I looked better and far more normal prior to surgery. read more
