Based on a recommendation, I called this office interview the senior partner to see if he would be…read morea good estate and family attorney. Boy, was that a mistake. 1. Cole would not stop talking and listen, which made me immediately NOT select him. 2. I was clear this was an "interview" call, not an advisory call. 3. They never sent me a bill, (you don't charge for sales calls) but 2 years later I get a collections call for $100. What? 4. No problem, I call the office and speak to the most rude accounting manager I have ever met (and I'm a CPA). She says she won't reverse the charge in spite of the fact this wasn't a legal discussion but an interview. Bottom Line: This firm is out of date (you'll be paying for an old guy to talk at you), the other partner who is now an elected official won't get back to you, and the business practices are all scam. I never write reviews, but you need to avoid this firm. I have also heard about the local shady real-estate deals. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!

In my opinion: he was rude, and refused to explain any of the legal process. I asked him questions over the phone about my legal matter, and sometimes he would simply hang up on me. He promised the world and acted like an expert, but as soon as I paid him thousands of dollars in advance, all of the sudden he had no time to talk to me about my case. It seemed like he just wanted my money and didn't care at all about anything else. I felt deceived, and I will never go to him again for anything. Maybe he was rude to me because Im Hispanic, or maybe he really doesn't care at all. All I know is that once I paid the money up front, he was a completely different person.

Answer a few standard questions, chat about your impending death, and whammo! You've got yourself a legally binding will, power of attorney, health care advance directive, etc. Betsy also told us everything about death we wouldn't have even known to ask. Plus, she and her husband even come to *your* house for a signing party so you get the documents right away. It wasn't cheap, but check to see if your company has a legal plan (ours paid for almost everything!). But it was thorough, painless, and quick. Just like I hope that impending death of mine will be. (FYI: Betsy knows all the good ways to dispose of your body: cremation, burial at sea, composting, being turned into a tree ...)
