I chose to work with Keller & Stein for my wedding flowers for our wedding that was originally scheduled for May 8th, 2020. I chose them based on all of the wonderful reviews I had read on Yelp. Abbey was such a delight! She was so helpful, sweet, and easy to work with. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted exactly, but I showed her some photo ideas and she shared some really great ideas with me. However, sadly, our wedding had to be postponed due to COVID, but I had no problem with changing the date (which was a huge relief!). Another lovely surprise is that Keller & Stein delivered a beautiful flower arrangement on what was supposed to our wedding day (pictured here). The worst roses I've ever seen! I asked for 6 roses with babies breath. I asked the price I was quoted $35 she said it would take 10 minutes. I came back to pay she said $47 I was in shock! I paid the $47 although I wanted to say forget it!!! She put what appears to be eucalyptus and other greenery to cover up the poor condition of the roses! I asked for pink & red they all were red! My mom and Grandma live nearby and I've often seen this florist when visiting the Sweetwater's coffee in their strip. So when it came time to order my mom and grandma flowers for a socially distanced Mother's Day I looked them up. I was so happy to see the great reviews they had and even more thrilled to see they had easy online ordering. I picked out two bouquets with delivery for my mom and Busia, chose a Saturday delivery, and crossed my fingers that they would look just as lovely in person as they did on their site. Spoiler alert: THEY DID! Saturday afternoon my mom sent be a very excited text thanking me for the flowers and sending me a photo. They looked perfect. "They look nice in the photo" I said to her. "Are they nice in person?" "They're beautiful," she said. "Very fresh." Score! She sent me a very lovely bouquet for my birthday a few weeks ago and I was so happy to return the favor, along with some homemade lemon bars I dropped off on her porch the next day and some other goodies I won't bore you you with. I live in Illinois, and my friend's brother recently passed away in Michigan. I couldn't go to the wake because it was family only, so I wanted to send flowers to show my support. I have used Keller and Stein for years for all of the business stuff that I have sent, and never been disappointed. Recently, I needed to send flowers for my mom's retirement, and they were gorgeous! Unfortunately, I also had to send flowers to a co-worker in the hospital, But those were delivered same day, and beautiful as well. Their prices are higher then say, Thrifty, or other florists. While not outrageous, they are higher. For the higher price, you get customer service that can't be beat. You can call them, tell them the personality of the person you are sending flowers to, and they will make great recommendations. My son was in a play and I wanted to get him flowers, but not "girly" flowers. I just walked in to K&S and within minutes I had a cute little arrangement in his high school colors that he wasn't embarrassed to receive in front of the other kids. One caveat -when they ask you what price range you are looking for, they don't include delivery in that price. If you want to spend $40 total, make sure you specify your amount including delivery. read more

My first stop here was 30 minutes before closing and I needed six flower arrangements. I knew I was pushing the limits with the time constraint but I thought I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I did because I got 6 beautiful arrangements and the woman who helped me did a great job without rushing me out the door! Even Stein the cat took some time to say hello. I'm surprised to see so many 5 star reviews, so maybe my incident is isolated, let's hope, but I am under impressed at the arrangement I received. For the price that was paid, it's almost embarrassing. My arrangement was made wrong, and while I do think FTD owns part of that issue, FTD was the only one to make it right. This florist was contacted by FTD since what was ordered was not what was delivered, and they never responded to fix the problem. FTD then pulled the order from Keller & Stein, and sent it to another florist to deliver what should have been sent in the first place. While this florist is quite a distance from my home, I would think twice about ordering from them again. read more

They made my flower vision a reality! They will also donate your flowers to a local senior living faculty for you after the wedding, which I took advantage of. read more

My sister ordered me flowers for my birthday to be delivered on March 9th before 1pm knowing that I leave for work at 1:15 on March 2nd Keller & Stein delivered dead flowers and not the bouquet that was ordered to my house at 3:30 just a fluke I was off that day. I read the ticket not my sisters mistake on the date Keller & Steins mistake. Called Keller & Stein and asked why the would deliver dead flowers for one and two who can't read. I talked to Nicky she said she would resend live flowers on the correct date during the time stated on the order with an upgrade on the correct bouquet. My sister also called after I did very upset Nicky told her she was going to fixed the problem and that she had already talked to me. It is time for me to leave for work no flowers at 1pm Nicky is full of it. Hopefully when I get home If the flowers were delivered they are still on my porch and alive. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH KELLER AND STEIN OR DO IF YOU DON'T WANT THE RIGHT BOUQUET AND YOU WANT DEAD FLOWERS ON THE WRONG DAY. 11 pm got home from work and still no flowers. I wanted to purchase some flowers for my grandpa's funeral service. I just wanted something simple that was pretty, colorful, and a full arrangement. It didn't need to be big but I wanted a array of different flowers. I looked in the books they had and picked a couple of arrangements. But they didn't have enough flowers to make any of the arrangements in the books I picked. So they asked me how much I wanted to spend. I spent $80 including delivery which was about $12. Don't get me wrong they did have limited time to make the arrangement. I came In The day before. So they delivered the flowers to next day and I was very disappointed. There were like 4 roses, 3 snap dragons, and some other flowers. They lilies they put in weren't even open and the arrangement just looked sad. I seriously could have bought flowers on my own from Sam's club or even Kroger for a cheaper price and they would of looked way better. Friendly service but not worth the hassle. I ordered from this service twice online. The first time they didn't care to read the delivery instructions and delivered the flowers on the wrong day. The second time they did the same, and delivered them again at the wrong time. I tried contacting them to inform them of this issue, and they refused to return emails. We had ordered flowers from the Michigan avenue location for years and were never disappointed. When my husbands dear brother died in 2012, we ordered an arrangement from them and we brought in special lures and some fish to include in the arrangement because he was a fisherman. The flowers were right up front near the casket and were drooping and looked terrible. Everyone commented they looked terrible. I called the shop and they told me to add water. I did and they perked up just a little but most of the flowers still drooped for the rest of the evening. The next day was the funeral and the flowers looked dead. It was so disappointing and embarrassing to have dead flowers for my brother-in-laws funeral. They said they would discount the flowers and add a credit to our credit card. They never did. Today was the first time I've ever been to this florist, but they acted like I was a long term customer. The employees were very knowledgeable and very friendly. For some reason my first review has disappeared, but I do want to make sure future brides see my post. This florist shop messed up my bouquet on the day of my wedding, and the flowers in my arbor as well. I ordered a cascading bouquet, and was given a round, boring bouquet with weird greenery strands circled around it. It was nothing like the pictures I picked out for my bouquet. For the arbor, I said no carnations (I think they're tacky and cheap looking), and as I'm walking down the aisle, I notice there were pink carnations front and center :( my wedding was May 21st, 2016. I asked for the owner to call me, and still a month later, the owner has not called. I was issued a refund, but it wasn't for the full amount, and did not make up for the stress I was caused. I have been a customer of "Steins" since 1971 when they made up the flowers for my wedding. They have never disappointed me. Recently, I called for funeral flowers for my brother in law. I know it was somewhat unusual for a funeral but he was a fisherman and I ask that they make up something for a funeral with that theme. It was amazing! This is what happened to me. I was planning my wedding in advance by over a year. So I walked in and had a consultant and went through everything I would like. When the estimate came to be a number that was way too high for me, the consultant and I quickly discussed what to take out and she promised to email me a new estimate. A month went by and I had no answer. So I sent a quick email over their site and waited another two weeks. Finally, I called, asking what was going on. Apparently, they never recieved an email from me. The lady was very short with me but after I asked for an estimate for bouquets, she said she will email that info. I did get that email, but I was in shock to see the bridal bouquet of daisies, baby's breath, and other wildflowers came to $180! (Bridesmaids flowers came to $50 each). I used the same email to ask why it was so high. After a couple days, I called again. The lady, again, was short and was not willing to answer my questions because my wedding was "too far in advance." Later that day, they called another phone number to reach me, saying that another bride was getting married on the same date and that order is much larger, therefore, they cannot be of service at my wedding...
