HALLELUJA! I anticipated the possibility of rotator cuff surgery with a year of recovery …read more.. completely unacceptable with my vigorous sports and limited years to keep at them. Instead, I got a simple, non-eventful, no-brainer, painless injection providing 80% improvement within hours and over 90% over the next couple of days. An injection may be effective for months ... a highly individual and unpredictable process well worth trying under certain circumstances. Repeated injections can in many cases be reasonably safe if not overdone. I know now what movement to eliminate from my weight lifting protocol, so I hope to be able to avoid a repeat and let it heal properly. Now, about Benton Franklin Orthopedic Associates. After an initial appointment date miscommunication, they've been very good to work with. Their friendly people, quick appt availability, and prompt response to followup questions have been very encouraging. As for Dr. Dworkin, his bio/resume is very impressive. He has worked as a surgeon with challenging responsibilities around the world in and beyond the military, and has published several shoulder research papers. His qualifications look outstanding; look them up on and beyond their website. He is personable and encouraging, but I hope never to have to find out first hand whether he's a superior surgeon. What I DO know is that he was not overeager to do what many surgeons most love to do: get out their tool kit. Overall, my entire experience with BFOA and Dr. Dworkin has been very encouraging.

I visited Benton Franklin ortho for hand issues for which the doctor prescribed some medication…read more However the doctor didn't send the prescription to the pharmacy. I called and could not get through and then i called back and was told to call back later if it didn't arrive at the pharmacy. So far its been a wasted trip to the doctors office. Apparently I have to remind them over and over to get the prescription sent to the pharmacy. They actually asked me to call back after 3 and remind them to send it in... So I called back and no one answers the phone again.

I am writing to compliment my hand specialist Dr. Joshua Bales for the FOUR excellent surgeries he…read morehas performed for me. Carpel Tunnel left and right, multiple issue right hand/arm surgery and my personal favorite is my arthritic right thumb that he removed the arthritis from and it is now fused and pain free. Robert Semon, OTR/L in the Fowler PT Clinic was amazing in helping me regain mobility in my hand following surgery. Dr. Bales moves fast, has speedy appointments, has a great bedside manner and even though he gets through appointments at lightning speed, I somehow feel very cared for and satisfied. Thanks to Dr Bales and Robert Semon.

So I provided all my records to kadlec in person as I guess emailing is too difficult for some. After review evidently these surgeons are not capable of doing the surgery. In addition to being confronted at my therapy appointment, I was called later for a lecture and issue was taken over frivolous matters - things that have never been an issue in 15+ years with my EXTREMELY well-behaved service dog. I've spent quite a bit of time in this office...Dr. Hales took care of me when I broke my finger…read moreand again about a year later when I needed hand surgery. The guy has some a seriously terrible bedside manner, but he is really good at what he does, so it all cancels out. Dr. Hales is _the_ hand expert in TriCities, so if your hand is ailin', come see this guy. He took great care of my broken finger--it healed like it had never snapped into 3 pieces, all without surgery. He managed to squeeze me in as an emergency about an hour after I got x-rayed at and sent on from the urgent care center. When it came time for surgery to release a trigger finger, he squeezed me in to accomodate my crazy schedule on extremely short notice. On top of that, he did an amazing job of making the incision in the crease in my palm so that it's barely visible. I'm still amazed about the lack of pain, speed of recovery, and return to 100% use/normalcy. Woo!
