There's a decent selection of domestic and imported beers, both in the cooler and on the shelves, and the prices are consistent with other places. The selection of keg beers is extensive, again with both domestic and foreign, so PBC is probably a good spot for anyone, mostly likely college students, to get the home party started. Maybe that's the secret. During my short visit, several people stopped in to grab a beer or a six-pack. All of the chosen beverages were packed in the ever-so-discreet brown paper sack so this is not a place that chooses to spend money having a logo or store name imprinted on a bag. It's a very low-key store. Because it's in a residential area, PBC seems to get a lot of foot traffic. In fact, I could see this place as being a go-to place for the local college students looking to stock beer or tap a keg, and maybe this place still does a lot of that, but it's not a place I'd stop if I were looking to stock a serious party serving liquor other than beer. Most of the inventory, besides beer, was wine. There was a smattering of hard liquor, and even smaller selection of mixers. Still, for a basic no-frills kind of place, PBC will get the job done.
