I had always been suspicious of Chiropractors, however I developed an extremely painful pinched nerve in my neck and was desperate for relief. My boyfriend encouraged my to try it, since he had had some good experiences in the past. I was overwhelmingly disappointed. Overland laid me down, cracked my neck, then told me that we were definitely going to have to continue to work on the problem, and immediately prompted me to make the next few appointments. I wisely avoided committing to anything. After the 'adjustment', I was sent to another room where a separate tech placed the electrode pads on my neck and back (in the wrong place, since Overland never bothered to actually specify where the problem was). In addition to being hooked up to a device that was continuously contracting my sensitive muscles, they placed cold packs on my neck, tightening the painful muscles even more. Being left alone for a while, trying to relax my muscles yet keep the cold packs in place, I was hoping that someone would try to rub out the massive muscle knot that had developed because of the tension. Instead, they did nothing other than prompting me to make an additional appointment. Needless to say, $220 and no relief later, I will not only never return to this Chiropractor, but I have now pretty much written off the practice as a whole because of this experience. Doctor Overlands Chiropractic Associates Is the finest available for chiropractic treatment, therapy and massage. My wife and I have been to many practitioners and we agree these people are the best. Overland has done more for my back with the least number of treatments. Some chiropractors are happy to keep you comming back every couple of weeks for ever, not Overland. He treats you with your best interests in mind. He shows you how with exercises and stretching you can help yourself. I feel better longer with less adjustments. Chiropractic Associate Evans Roche provides the best therapeutic full body massage with great results. He is exceptional. So are the Associates who give the therapeutic electric stim and other technologies. I heard that the office is soon expanding to offer physical therapy. I saw Dr. Overland for over a year and finally stopped after growing frustrations with the timeliness of appointments and the billing department. The level of care I received was fine, but after repeatedly waiting for appointments, I realized my time was too valuable to sit around in an office waiting. Almost every appointment (I went approximately every 3 weeks) was 10-15 mins late, and there were several times that I waited 30-45 mins. I work/live only a few minutes away and asked them to call me in the future, so that I could plan accordingly and either reschedule or come later. I never received a call. When mentioning my frustrations to the doctor - there was always an excuse - a patient took longer than expected (which is acceptable if it happens occasionally), the other chiropractor left the practice, etc. There was never an acknowledgment that they just schedule too many patients too closely together. Sue, in the back, was always great and I will miss seeing her. The offices billing practices are also frustrating - it takes months to process a payment (longer than any other medical office I've used), at times we received bills for care when I called to inquire why they were so high, it was because they forgot to submit some of them to the insurance, or they were processed incorrectly. They are currently using two billing systems, so you end up getting different bills, with different amounts. I now drive significantly further away to see another chiropractor, but am always seen within 2 minutes of walking in the door. After seeing at least a dozen of chiropractors over the years, the level of customer service just wasn't enough to keep me as a client. read more

Hi. I heard about doc O from so many people in Norwalk and Wilton. I was told he was one of the best in treating sports injuries. I was surprised he was a chiropractor. Yet at least 3 people told me to go for my neck pain. I saw he was named the best chiropractor in Fairfield county so I figured I would try. wow what a great experience. He did a very complete exam of my neck. He explained what he felt was wrong and offered a variety of approaches to treatment. After a review of my xrays, Dr Overland told me we would combine a number of treatments including chiropractic, PT, exercises, and laser therapy. Given my neck has been sore for years I thought the program made great sense. After a few visits I felt a lot better and now keep it control by doing the exercises he showed me. I now go when I aggrevate it and in one or two visits I am back to all my activities. This experience made me realize that Its best to go natural first with a chiropractic doctor who specializes in Sports injury care and has no prpblem working with other health care providers read more
