I started experiencing extreme lower back pain for the first time in my life in mid-August and have been going to AHP for adjustments since then. Dr. Mullen has even provided me with excercises to do at home between appointments, to keep my back healthy . I truly appreciate the pain relief that's resulted from my visits. Parking is ample for anyone driving and there are bus stops nearby for anyone getting to appointments that way. read more

I came in for back pain and mentioned a horrible clicking in my jaw that the dentist was unable to fix. I was immediately diagnosed with severe TMJ. After 1 month the change in my jaw is astounding! This is an AWESOME staff of professionals!!! It's a small practice which means they treat me like part of the family. I'm greeted by name, by Bertha at the front desk, she is amazingly helpful and patient with all my scheduling needs! Dr. Mullins my chiropractor is knowledgeable about what is causing my pain, but more importantly, he GENUINELY cares about my health and doesn't leave "any stone unturned" when trying to get to the bottom of it! Ryan takes care of all of my PT needs AND THEN SOME!!! He calls to follow up with all my records or follow up X-ray or MRI appointments so that I don't pull my hair out trying to navigate it!!! I started seeing Dr. Mullin about 3 weeks ago for neck pain and muscle spasms. I had a very limited range of motion, and it hurt no matter what I did. After taking a thorough history, he examined my neck and after just one adjustment I started to feel better. I've been going 3 times a week since then, and not only has my neck pain and range of motion improved, he also helped me with a migraine by combining a spinal adjustment with acupuncture. The combination of different treatment modalities used by AHP is truly comprehensive. Dr. Mullin is helping me to address a number of issues that I've let go by the wayside. Their staff is friendly, their hours and location are convenient. The only thing I wish is that they had later hours on Fridays - and maybe periodic Saturday hours. Each time I was there I was with Dr. Mullen for less then 5 minutes - he would hook me up to the heat and stim pads, come back in to turn them them off and then walk me over to the roller table. When those were done, it was up to me to walk myself out of the office - no one to check in on me to see how I was feeling or how the session went. I went for three or four appts and gave up - the whole place felt like the chiropractor equivalent of an ambulance chaser. When I first started, he convinced me to sign up for a massage session with one of their 'therapists' and not only was the entire experience not in any way relaxing, she did the 40min back and neck massage OVER my shirt - it was a glorified nail salon massage. And whatever you do, do not allow them to put you on their email list. Not only did I not sign up, but despite four separate requests, I can't get myself removed. read more

I have been going to PT for 21/2 years. I have been going to acupuncture for 1 year. These guys are like a family. They are compassionate and they really care. AHP is different from other PT facilities. Actually they are my extended family, I see them 2 to 3 times a week, more then I see my adult daughter. They have been very patient with changing appointments without a 24 hour notice, which must drive them crazy. They are most accommodating, they have early morning appointment and evening for those who work. I would recommend them. read more

AHP in Norwalk is a breath of fresh air for me and my neck. I've had whiplash from multiple car accidents and Dr Mullen's chiro treatments are bringing more range of motion to my neck than I've had in years. He takes time to explain everything thoroughly and has posters and pamphlets that illustrate the healing process. I did not know minor whiplash could cause so many health issues that don't even seem related. The office decor is modest, but these folks are very skilled and friendly. read more

I had my hip replaced in January and needed PT. My surgeons practice suggested AHP for my PT. I was so pleased with the staff, was greeted with a warm smile, and a comforting atmosphere. Melissa, did the intake and started exercises after our chat. I premade my appointments with ease and went twice a week. In April, I had my second hip replaced and once I was cleared for PT, I did not have to think twice about returning to AHP. I felt like I was returning home to my adopted family. Again the same feeling returned, I knew I was getting the best of care. When the day came that I was cleared to leave PT, the group sent home a list of exercises to do at home so that I can keep PT going in the comfort of my home... Will miss you guys....... read more
