After the run around I decided to drive to Chico ( a 40min drive for me) when I got there I had to wait a little bit I think that is normal . I trusted their guidance, but later realized I was paying for coverage that didn't really align with my needs. At the beginning, I was given several discounts (like a student discount) that I later found out I didn't actually qualify for. When it came time for renewal, my premium increased significantly after those discounts were removed. The most frustrating part of my experience was the lack of support after I was in an accident. They were very unhelpful during that process, and I ultimately went to seek help from another local Allstate agent. I ended up canceling my policy. I did have to pay about 10% of the remaining balance (around $20) to close out the policy. Overall, the experience left me feeling like I wasn't properly guided through the insurance process, especially as a first-time customer, and that my trust in their advice wasn't respected.

My wife is a teacher and we bought a brand-new home in 2023, excited to start our story here. We were able to get insurance through Golden Apple at the very last minute which was a relief at the time, but it took them forever to even process our quote. Still, we eventually got coverage and thought all was good. Our home is fully equipped with the required fire safety measures: fire sprinklers, alarms, and more than 150 feet of defensible space in every direction. So imagine our surprise when Golden Apple sent us a letter saying we would be dropped. No explanation, no chance to ask questions, just a letter. I called Ron immediately. At first, he was apologetic and said he was reaching out to other agencies, and we were given until mid-December before being dropped. That was over a month ago. Since then, there's been zero follow-up. My wife kept urging me to call back, so I did today. This time Ron basically shrugged me off, saying he had already called around and "nobody could service Paradise." The kicker? He never bothered to communicate that to us. Who knows how many others he left in the dark. At this point, even if Golden Apple could cover us, I wouldn't want to work with people who clearly don't care about their customers' wellbeing. I then called Nevin & Witt. Their agent listened, understood, and promised to follow up quickly. She even said they are having success writing policies in Paradise. Night and day difference go check them out if you want someone who actually gives a damn.
