My wife and I bought our first home last September, and I did a lot of homework trying to find the best mortgage lender in the Boston area. Through a friend's recommendation, and also through researching online, we went with Keith, and I'm so glad we did--I'm confident that he got us the best mortgage possible, and I now recommend him to friends whenever I hear they're looking to buy a house. Why? Keith has great rates (likely the best), and outstanding service (he's very friendly and knowledgeable). The most important factor to us was finding the best rate possible, since a mortgage is obviously a huge purchase. The second-most important factor to us was having someone who had great service. Regarding rates, I shopped around, and I believe that Keith got us a better deal than anyone else in town would have. We're grateful for that every month we pay our mortgage bill. And again, he's wonderful to work with--just a joy. One more thing I should mention--when our realtor learned we were going with Keith, she said that Keith's bank, Leader, has a great reputation in the area and that we wouldn't have any problems getting our mortgage. And that proved to be the case--everyone seems to have a high opinion of Leader, and after working with Keith, we sure do. read more

I was introduced to Keith back in 2009 through a friend who had just used him for her home purchase and had rave reviews. He was amazing to work with - very accessible and incredibly patient talking through details, requirements, etc. During this first purchase, there were some last minute issues qualifying for the financing due to the small size of my condo unit. Keith personally jumped through hoops, made a dozen phone calls, and leveraged his experience and network to find other financing options and get me my loan in time for close. Since then, I've worked with him to refinance twice and for advice countless times! He is incredibly knowledgeable, honest, straight-forward, and easy to get in touch with and talk to. I am always amazed by his quick replies and eagerness to help no matter how busy he is. There is no one better to use, I would highly recommend him no matter what type of financing you're dealing with! read more

A friend of mine recommended I reach out to Keith when I was looking to refinance my home mortgage and put a new HELOC in place. I am glad I did. The competitive mortgage rate and LTV ratio that Keith quoted was what I got. I have previously been duped by other banks promising some great rate and ratio only to be told after they pulled my credit and wasted my time providing them a mountain of paperwork that their original quoted rate/ratio did not apply for one reason or another. Keith was efficient, responsive and a pleasure to work with. The contrast of working with him versus a large bank that just doesn't care was stark. And, after everything closed, he followed up and checked in. read more

We have used Keith for a number of transactions over the years. He helped us finance our initial home purchase, worked with us through a refinancing a year later and is now helping us try to get an updated appraisal on our home so that we can get out of PMI. Keith came highly recommended to us about 5 years ago and we have been extremely happy with the service he has provided. Keith is responsive and very knowledgeable. He always takes the time to explain things clearly and has worked to make sure that the process has been as smooth as possible. We would recommend Keith to anybody and look forward to continuing to work with him. read more

My husband and I were extremely pleased with the interaction we had with Keith. He was a pleasure to work with, answered our questions, and made the process smooth and seamless. Keith and his team were always available to help us. Any time we needed assistance or guidance, we reached out to Keith and received a prompt response. He explained the process, detailed everything in writing. And most of all, we closed on time at the rate we agreed to. Keith made the process so easy I reached out to him for a second mortgage when we remodeled our kitchen. Thank you Keith for everything you did. read more

Keith not only helped me with one loan process, but instead went through the entire process for a second time with me after the first deal fell through. He never ever sounded slightly perturbed but instead seemed enthusiastic to help me move on to my next house search. He always made himself available to answer any questions I had, even on the weekends when he was away with his family. He truly is about customer service and makes you feel like a priority. I HIGHLY recommend Keith and would bet my paycheck that you won't find anyone better read more

Keith got my husband and I pre-approved for our mortgage within two hours of reaching out to him on a holiday weekend. He was more than happy to assist us, even though it was Sunday. He was there every step of the way when we had any questions and with advice for us to make things easier. I have heard people say getting a mortgage is a giant headache, but I never had any issues with either Keith or Leader Bank, I highly recommend both to anyone looking for a smooth easy process. He even sent us a Christmas gift! read more

Keith got me the best rate I had seen anywhere -- matching the lowest advertised rate on bankrate (from some shady online outfit). I had a reasonably tight window, and he promised a commitment letter within that window, but delivered it a little more than 2 weeks earlier than he initially promised. I have been through the mortgage process 3 times, and I've never had a better or easier experience than I did with Keith and his team. I cannot recommend him highly enough. read more

I'm an attorney and real estate broker and I used Keith to purchase my first house. Keith got me a better rate than Guaranteed Rate. Keith was communicative throughout the process and educated me along the way. I am now a better real estate broker after working with Keith. He has helped many of my clients, colleagues, and friends. I highly recommend Keith Hapenney if you are looking to purchase real estate, refinance, or just looking for direction and answers. read more

Keith is great to work with, pro-active, smart, calm, experience galore, simplifies the complex stuff, responsive, super nice, and with a little humor too--all things we need to get through what's likely to be a stressful time. He came through with my mortgage for the closing in record time, which if he hadn't, I would have had to pay cash. Yikes! Great guy and resource--he's awesome! Thanks again, Keith! The best there is. Keith was referred to me through numerous people in my office, and for good reason. He helped walk my wife and I through the entire process of purchasing our first home, was extremely responsive, and overall simply an excellent resource for all aspects of the home buying process (he even recommended a stellar realtor). If you're in the market for a new home, I highly recommend giving him a call. read more

Keith is awesome. Friendly, approachable, an artist at multitasking. He helped me buy my first home (it turned out to be an unusually complicated process) ans also helped me refinance a couple years later. Got me great interest rates both times. His team is professional and very attentive. Keith is honest and cares a lot about his clients. And he's funny, which is a great attribute to bring to such a dry industry. read more
