Bradford Interchange is one of two train stations serving Bradford's city centre. Bradford is such…read morean exciting city with so much money and investment being spent on it over the past few years to the point where it's now been awarded the UK City of Culture for 2025, it really does seem they've left Bradford Interchange behind. Bradford Interchange, as suggested by the name is a transport interchange station for bus and rail services, although to avoid confusion with nearby Bradford Forster Square, railway companies will refer to the station as a whole, as Bradford Interchange. In terms of passengers, Bradford Interchange is the most used train station in the city, ahead of Forster Square. The station is managed by Northern Trains and the West Yorkshire Metro (Owned by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority). The majority of railway services are served by Northern Trains, but Grand Central also provide services from this station. The station looks fairly unique from the outside due to the roof, which looks unlike most other train stations I've visited, however as you get inside it just looks and feels run-down and dirty, especially in the main square of the station. The platforms were fine, unlike any other station in a small city or large town across England. I used the station most recently on a trip from Hull, it was fairly easy to navigate the station from getting off the train to the exits, although it is fairly small so would be more difficult to get lost than anything else. A lack of staff around the station is also sad to see, the only staff member I managed to find across the whole bus and train station was a toilet cleaner. PRO TIP: Make sure you carry change if you want to use the toilet as they are not free, otherwise you may be able to gain access to the accessible toilet which does not require payment. Again, strongly against this, you shouldn't have to pay to pee... there's a lack of public toilets as there is and it is only going to encourage public urination, and just doesn't feel right to me. 2* - Certainly struggling from a lack of investment and has seen better days, while providing useful services into the city, and the location of the train station is in close proximity to all of the city's shops and tourist attractions, it just needs vast improvement.

There's a Greggs, WH Smith and a small newsagent-y kind of shop here. Nothing memorable, nothing fantastic. There was a flower stand right outside for all tos elast minute gifts and plenty of taxis as you exit so great for making a quick escape from such a drab place. The carpark/drop-off area didn't seem very large and the station is actually a little hidden from the main part of Bradford. The metal seating was painted red but that's as colorful and warm as the station gets. Trains run frequently enough to Leeds, not sure why else you would need to come here.

Preston railway station in Preston, Lancashire, England, is a major station on the West Coast Main…read moreLine, roughly half-way between London Euston and Glasgow Central - it is around 200 miles or 2 1/4 hours or so from both - that being said is right in the middle of the two, it is quite an important station, operated by Virgin Trains but I'd even go as far to say this is one of the worst Category B stations I've visited (On the contrast I find the likes of Brighton and Stockport to be the best) The station is mainly used by Virgin Trains who provide routes to destinations such as London, Glasgow and Blackpool but is also used by other services such as Northern (Slow train into Manchester and Greater Manchester towns as well as offering services to Blackpool, York and Liverpool) and TPExpress (fast services into Manchester Piccadilly in 36 minutes, Manchester Airport and Glasgow/Edinburgh. Caledonian Sleeper trains also pass through here, once per day in both directions (London/Scotland) For a nine platform station, it still feels pretty small, unlike virtually every other main train station which is the main one of a city/category B and above there isn't a WHSmith - nor is there much at the station nonetheless other than a few coffees stands with little seating, and a Starbucks which couldn't serve food OR COFFEE! (Come on... are they called Starbucks tea or Starbucks coffee?) The ticket area is pretty small and it does close even at busy times in the evening - meaning it can be hard to find a member of staff. When I did find a staff member they did seem friendly enough even though they had thousands of football fans singing after watching Manchester City defeat Preston North End 3-0 in the third round of the Carabao Cup. It is in a good location for the centre, being only a short walk away from the shopping area, and two stops on the bus from the bus station with cabs outside the station. 2* - Poor facilities in the station but a good location, with friendly enough staff for the extra star.

Going to work by train doesn´t necessarily mean you have to run straight to the cleaner´s the way you do it in the Czech Republic :D Prima malé nádraží s pár otevřenými pokladnami, prostorným novinovým stánkem a stánkem s občerstvením. Přehledné tabule, snadná orientace. Jezdit vlakem do práce neznamená skočit šipku do čistírny tak, jak je to typické v Česku :D

Pretty much all services go into Leeds (29 km north of here), so odds are, you may need to change trains there, depending on where you are going, as I had to, to get back to Manchester. The station is served by both LNER and Northern Rail, with the latter managing the station and providing the majority of the services that use the station. It's a typical old-school station, lots of steps and walking across the footbridge between platforms, there are lifts though if you have access needs or a heavy suitcase. There isn't much in terms of food/drink inside the station, I did notice a Cafe, next to the Ticket Hall, but this was closed on both my journeys to and from the station - being right in the town centre, it is easy enough to hop across to get a snack / bite to eat there. There is a small waiting area on the platforms, with a couple of places to sit down under shelter. Access to other modes of transportation to continue your journey is also good, with a taxi rank outside the station, and an adjacent bus station. The station is staffed, and the staff seem friendly enough. PRO TIP: If you're picking up or returning a parcel, there is an Amazon Locker, and an InPost Locker, right outside the station which can be handy. 3*
