Great stop to have burgers!…read more Gave it 4 stars because I read a review that said to try their fries. I tried their fries, and they were unremarkable. But I still ate them. My husband had the BLT. Said it tasted homemade which is a compliment! Wait staff was good. Service prompt and friendly. We kept going back and forth to find the place because we were looking for a big sign in the building. Later we saw the signs along the road. If the fries were as good as the burger and BLT, this would have been a 5 star review. I should have tried the jojos instead. My husband had the poppers. Yummy. Formulate your own opinion and try this place. We were passing through on a roadtrip. If we're back again, you can be sure that I'll order the burger, with jojos. Oh... another thing. I read about the air conditioning being too cold in other reviews. I run hot anyway, so it was perfect for me. My husband wore his jacket, if that tells you anything. I would much rather be at a place where it's too cold, than too hot. It was in the 90's outside, so having a burger and a sandwich was a welcome relief.

We love the Brickhouse, but today was not the day to go. Many items were out and we couldn't get…read more It has been months since we have went and the milkshakes are now seasonal, which is disappointing. The crinkle fries have changed to thin ones instead of the fat cut crinkle fries. I'm a tots person, but sadly couldn't get tots because they were out. Possibly this will only be a place we go to when it's milkshake season again. We felt bad for our waitress, as she was the only one managing tables, register, phone, bar, everything. The more people in the restaurant the louder it gets. We try to sit in an area away from others to help reduce the noise. We'll still go, but seasonally.

Ordered the 1/2 order of their own potato chips and a wonderful green salad of…read morestrawberries, walnuts, chicken, feta cheese, balsamic vinaigrette with plenty of candied walnuts. All delicious and plenty to eat! It took a few minutes for me to be noticed to be escorted to a table. Got up and had to find a menu. When being taken to a table please don't forget to give your guest a menu. Even after the apology and given 2 more menus (one for Brunch and one for drinks), it left a bad taste in my mouth about a first impression of the business. Thankfully, the food was fresh and tasty! This the 4 star rating.

We dropped in around 1:00pm and snagged seats on one of their outdoor picnic tables. Our server was friendly but beware, they don't inform you of the automatic 18% gratuity on the bill. Nothing on any of their menu's state that either. Super unimpressed because we ended up double tipping. Menu consists of appetizers, hot sandwiches + burgers, cold sandwiches and salads. They also have a brunch menu (weekends only from 9:00am to 1:00pm) and drinks. - Rocking horse caesar ($8.25) - O is a picky drinker but he said it wasn't half bad. - 2x Weezy wings ($12.00) - our group shared one order with a dill dip ($1.00 extra). The wings were not good; dry and almost tasteless. The louisian style hot sauce they coated the wings with was bland. - Seattle fries ($6.00) - found these oversalted. - 4x Pastrami ($15.00) - we opted for the kettle chips (made in-house). A touch of a peppery Cajun note. The pastrami had a good sauce and the cheese complimented the meat. The bread was well buttered and had a crunchy bite to it. - Choreazy ($15.00) - we went with the daily soup (chicken and rice) which was delicious. Homey and comforting, something your mom/grandma would feed you. The chorizo was homemade but flavours were a bit mute. An okay sandwich that we didn't particularly love or hate. Food was decent but can't get over the shady practices. 2.5 stars.

Every year we go across the way to fisherman's cove to get shakes and the yummy skinny fries!…read moreHowever since corona virus they are only open to the guests staying there which is beyond disappointing because it has always been our tradition! We stayed at Tiffany's resort across the way and we take our boat over there to get the food. When we got to their dock there was a guy warning us that we could not get anything from the restaurant. So we went to go talk to the cook because THERE WERE NO SIGNS SAYING NO ONE CAN COME UNLESS THEY STAY THERE! But when we got there the nice lady saying that we could still order :-) when we got our shakes and fries the shakes were fine however my cousin got the wrong topping! That is fine because it all worked out but a year ago my cousin found HAIR IN HER SHAKE! Anyway the fries where not the best... they had pretty much no potato in them. Over all not the best experience but probably will come back because the shakes are sooooo good! :-)

The Shack is set outdoors on a deck that overlooks the lake, the mini marina, and the resort's brightly painted cabins. On a sunny day (or even a cold one, if you bundle up) there's no better place in the area to enjoy their old-fashioned cheese burger and basket of crisp fries. You'll feel like you've been transported back in time to a 1950's roadside burger joint. Their menu also includes grilled cheese and chicken sandwiches, and breakfast items, but I've only tried the burgers and fries (again and again). Nummy! Update 9/24/12: happy to report that the burgers are still as scrumptious as ever. Want to add that they make really good chicken nuggets (served with a ranch or barbecue dressing). Update 9/25/13: Their fried egg, bacon, and hash browns breakfast plates are mighty good.
