Paul Davis Restoration of Greater Richmond - Example of their dry stack stone. You're not supposed to see mortar.

Paul Davis Restoration of Greater Richmond

Worst company I've ever dealt with! We had an outside building catch fire in mid November and as a…read moreresult of the fire the siding and windows to our main house were damaged. Paul Davis came out and surveyed the damage and we were told it was well within their scope. I ask about the stone veneer around the windows and would a stone mason be needed to remove the stone to be able to replace the windows. I was told that their guys do this work all the time and it would not be a problem. They require a deposit on the job and since the insurance check had not come through yet I had to front the money myself. I was told in December that we should expect the job to be finished around March, " No Problem " I was told. The siding is ordered and so are the windows. We will let you know when everything comes in. Mid February I called and ask about the job and was told they were waiting on the siding that the windows were in. Two days later I got a call asking me what color the siding was? If it's already ordered why do you need to know this? Two weeks later the siding came in and we were finally going to get started on the siding and soffit metal. Then the siding showed up and it was the wrong style. The next day the correct siding showed up. So why had it taken so long to get siding when the mistake was found we had the correct stuff the next day? They removed the stone and marked every stone with tape and broke about 25% of the pieces. Half the metal soffit was not installed and the windows showed up the wrong color. Everything stopped and we were left with our house in shambles until July. After numerous calls we finally got them out and had the windows installed with the right siding. The windows were cut out and the new windows were cut and modified to fit as to not have to remove the inside molding. (seams like a short cut to me). After this was done we noticed the front door was damaged and also the 6*6 post holding up the front porch had begun to crack and warp from the heat. Insurance approved the repair and they ordered the door. We waited until mid February and the door finally showed up. You guessed it, wrong door. They tried to "repair the post instead of replacing as per the insurance approved replacement option and it looked terrible. The replacement door showed up sometime in may and again it was wrong. We finally got the door installed in July and finished the job almost eighteen months behind schedule. Then to cap everything off I had a hell of a time getting them to give me a document stating the job was completed and done in accordance with the insurance estimate. This was required by my mortgage holder. Finally got something from the insurance company to satisfy the mortgage company almost two years to the day after the fire. The absolute worst costumer service and workmanship I've ever experienced. I wouldn't Use these guys to build a dog house. Nothing but lies and misleading statements and shortcuts the entire way through the job. Take my advice, find a monkey and give him a hammer and a pencil and I think he could do better.

If they had a zero on here that would be the rating. Very poor everything, quality of work,…read morecustomer service, and communication. Terrible delay in work performance, their workers are very suspect to have in your home. Any issues are never addressed. Basically they are the bottom of the barrel n I would not recommend
