I researched about 3 or 4 junk removal services for a medium sized haul including at the time 1 mattress, a couple bedrames, a table, hutch and several odds and ends. The range was between $1100 to $400 of which Keen on Green was the most reasonable (this was estimated by email) Three energetic and polite men in their twenties came and gave me an estimate of the haul before we started. They worked co-operatively and amicably, ensuring that they wiped their feet before entering the premises and not knicking our walls. As their name states, the salvageable furniture would be donated. All in all a positive experience as we were happy to get rid of the clutter. Although the actual bill was higher than the email estimate (we had added another mattress and boxspring ($30 dumping fee each), it was less than the pre-haul estimate), I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Keen on Green to others. These guys were awesome. They friendly messaged me to help as I first checked them out on their Facebook page that a friend sent me. The connection guy found an opening within two days, then he changed up the appointment time and sent them early when I needed to change my schedule for work. They called ahead, arrived on time, and were clear about the items and costs and sizing. They were even able to add in a thing or two I had almost forgotten about that were in another storage space. Over the years, I have used Got Junk and other companies that hand out coupons and flyers, and Keen On Green pricing was much better--easy to predict and easy to budget. Very fair pricing. Giving away a couch aint easy in Vancouver, so when I happened upon Keen on Green and gave them a call, I was really excited. They were straightforward, clear, prompt, friendly--and even funny. Seriously, these guys are great. A locally owned company that will do their best to find a home for used furniture before recycling--so it doesn't just head to the dump. I am very satisfied with these folks. They responded promptly when I first emailed for a quote, and their prices are reasonable and the people are accommodating and reliable. On the day of the removal everything went smoothly, the two guys were friendly and able to creatively navigate the challenging removal of a very large and awkwardly placed structure from my second floor condo without damaging anything in the process. I had these folks come by and take a huge sofa-bed couch from my condo. They were extremely nice, professional, and funny!
