I made my appointment for 1 and they didn't see me until an hour later at 2. Not sure what the purpose of appointment slots is when they make you wait an hour to just check vitals. When i finally got saw the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. The woman at the front desk had told me I didn't need proof of address because I was a lapse donor, then when I was seen the staff member told me I did need it. I told her what the previous member had said and it took 15 minutes of reseating and back and forth for them to finally take my vitals. After, I took the questionnaire and went to the waiting area for physical as they told me. Then I got intercepted and told to stand by the door (which i did) then the physician had told me I actually needed to sit in the chairs. I had been waiting 2.5 hours at this point for vitals and questionnaire, just for them to do the physical for a woman who had gotten there 40 minutes after me. (Not sure if their mistake in telling me to stand by the door then pushed me to the bottom of the line or what happened). I finally got saw after 3 hours, This was actually the worst experience I've ever had donating with disorganization, staff not seeming to know how to do their job, and waiting. I have donated at CSL before and Biolife and my previous time and biolife was better, However. The place seems to have gone downhill since then. Would not recommend donating here unless you want to wait 5 hours, be shuffled around by staff telling you different things, and see people arriving after you get to go first.

I used their app and their form. I was pretty sure the QR code went to her/the office. She didn't look but said it didn't. I searched the app for the code. I found out later the code is sent directly to the office. So it was within her system. It was also part of my donor card which is a scan code, like a supermarket code. As a manager she should know that. My time was wasted.

I am so done with CSL Plasma, and donating plasma in general. The process is completely…read moreinconsiderate for those who are trying to help save lives and make some extra money. The managers/staff don't seem to notice or care how donors are affected by the incredibly long wait times when they don't staff enough employees to begin with, to make the process streamlined and efficient. I used to be able to go mid-day and have my vitals checked within 10 minutes... now I'm lucky if it takes less than an hour... I was there at 7:00 am on a Monday in late August, people are back in school for the fall... there was one employee taking vitals who was not at all in a rush and taking her time, while there were five people were in line, and an additional three donors were able to cut the line because they were new. My donation typically takes 30 minutes, but because it now takes so much time just to get into a chair, get set up, donate, and then wait (sometimes) 10-20 minutes to get wrapped up, it's no longer worth what I'm being compensated, $35 for one donation, or $75 for the week. Also, the amount earned for donations continues to decrease; a few months ago, I was earning about $45 for the first donation and about $55-60 for the second, so they are extorting donors. They are extorting us by making billions from our plasma and donors barely earn enough to get by for the week. If you go over 6 months without donating, you have to start the whole process over, by re-watching the donation video, and meeting with the nurse for a full work up again, or you will probably be adding at least another hour to your donation experience, maybe longer depending on what time/season of the year it is and what time of the day. As much as I appreciate and respect the concept of donating plasma to save lives, CSL Plasma has extorted me enough and left me feeling like they don't care about their donors nearly enough, and therefore it's no longer financially, economically or emotionally feasible for me to contribute or participate. You did that, CSL Plasma of Arvada, CO.

They provide me water and a snack after appointments like this, and have even called me around when I said I'd be home to see if I'm feeling better. You can't teach someone to care truly care about their clients like this, so it's amazing they hire people who are compassionate and just good. The only catch here is the wait time, but that's to be expected at any plasma center you go to. You wait when you donate plasma, blood, an organ, whatever. I don't mind it and I take the wait into consideration when scheduling my appointment time, which I am thankful people do here. I have been to other centers and even with a similar line, it takes significantly longer because they do not schedule staff according to how many people will be there, as they have no idea. Another thing: coupons are personalized and sent to your email now. If you are returning, you'll get one for extra pay after about 4 months. The staff was not able to tell me that.
