If you want a full feed, get the turkish bread, if you want a lighter more compact feed, get the wrap. I also got given a baklava for free last time I went, oh god, it was the best baklava I've had in years if not ever - light, fluffy and oozing with syrup - and just the right amount of pastry. Nowadays too many places overdo it and it just burns or is too dry or complete sog. Not so for the maestros of Alev Alev. Highly recommended.

We have not had a single bad meal or disappointment to date. Our favourites include butter chicken of course, chicken tikka masala, chicken bhuna, vegetarian paneer curries, garlic and cheese naan, pommy naan and onion kulcha. All curries come with rice with no additional charge which is a nice change from all of the other indian or Asian restaurants in the area which I think is a definite pro. Service is fantastic, wait staff are very attentive and friendly, and food doesn't take too long to be made. Will continue to return! Thanks Indian Hub :D

I guess there are plenty of us who end the day by sighing 'Screw it. The broccoli in the fridge can wait.' I've passed the aptly titled Kebab House plenty of times before, located on the corner of Nicholson & Scotchmer. It's within handy screw-it distance from several pubs and while it might not be the closest, it's probably the best. The range is pretty average but the quality is great. A friendly smile greets you, and seating is provided for a short wait (or a sit down if for some reason you prefer to dine in the typical atmosphere vacuum of these kind of places). After a while, you pays your money and you gets your food. No surprises there. We all know how it works. The food is a step above. Think fresh ingredients, perfect sized servings and good wrapping so you can eat as you stagger, ahem, walk home without getting it all down your shirt like I've definitely never done. You're looking at $10-12 for a kebab so not cheap but fair value for a quality bite. Recommended.

Great little place for take away or a quick eat in. Highly recommend it!

With almost 20 different entrees to choose from, being vegetarian is a blessing as it cuts down a difficult choice. I tried the staple samosas, and found them ok, although not the best I've tried. The Navrattan Korma is their version of a vegetable korma, and is very tasty, with the addition of nuts topping off an Indian favourite of mine. With Boronia's other Indian restaurant 'Rajdoot' across the road, Hot Gossip has had to step up to keep their title as the areas best Indian, and unfortunately, I've been swayed across the road nowadays.

Inside the atmosphere has been transformed into an attractive Indian décor. We had selected Saleem because it is an inexpensive Indian restaurant with good and a comfortable atmosphere; C and I have been there many times before. My English friend were pleased to find his favorite dishes on the menu of north Indian cuisine. The restaurant is BYO - C and I had bought a bottle of red, our friends had another bottle; conclusion a very good time was had by all. The service is friendly and efficient. Complimentary poppadoms were served with the meal. The curries are presented in bowels with tea-lights under them. Everyone had plenty to eat with the three curries that we ordered between the four of us. The curries are not spicy hot - Saleem Indian does cater a bit too much to the suburban Australian palette. It also does a good takeaway service that C and I have enjoyed when we were too busy too cook for ourselves.
