It's a tonic... and this is where I was last Sunday, the first summer(ish) weekend of 2011 The bar is small but very charming. It has a fireplace too, which is usually going in the Autumn and Winter. There is another small cosy room behind the bar, this then leads to a run of the mill Irish pub lounge. Funnily the prices are cheaper in the bar, than in the lounge, which is a typical thing of pubs in north county Dublin, or so I am told by my brother. Today though, I was a little peeved and being passed over twice while waiting to order a couple of pints. The locals know what part of the bar is best to stand at for ordering. It was a Wednesday so it was pretty quiet with just about four or five others there, very small but well decorated cozy spot. I got a couple of Erdinger's and just enjoyed chilling out on the couch looking at all of his posters of Johnny Cash and Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan and others while listening to them also. And if you like antiques he has that too, not to mention a singed photo of Roger Daltry who signed it when the Who were playing in Dublin a while back, so Roger Daltry was there which is pretty cool. My BBQ ribs were falling off the bone. The chicken wings sticky and scrumptious. Dad had cod wrapped in rashers which disappeared. Mum loved the chicken thai curry. But my biggest complaint was the attitute of the management when we asked the waitress to politely request a large group of very drunk and loud middle-age diners at a large table in the middle to tone it down because they were drowning out all conversations. We even had to shout at the waitress to get her attention because of the noise. But all she did was apologise and tell us we could move to another table. This we did, carrying our half-eaten meals ourselves to a corner that was only marginally less quiet. She didn't even offer us a free drink or anything else by way of compensation. I thought this was highly unprofessional and was not impressed. I will not be returning on a Saturday night in the future if they let drunken boors ruin everyone else's night.

The WINGS are a must try! Our servers names was Stephen and he was wonderful. We even asked about Irish Coffee and he told us we we should try it out and it did not disappoint! We would absolutely recommend this place for anyone interested in a wide selection of delicious bites! This place was one of our top experiences during our vacation. The menu from Ollie's is offered a few days out of the week, it includes tasty bites like the ribs and wings. The resteraunt has a different name ( I wish I could remember the exact name) but it is a steakhouse and next to Ollie's!!
