It's just closed to the public since it's a private party." One of my guests had found the owner's number and called her. Apparently, she'd thought the session was at 4pm. She said she was 10 mins from the studio because they had dropped something off in Casa Grande. When I called her, she told me the same thing. Not too long after I got off the phone, she sent me the following text: Her: Sorry we're late. We had an emergency come up this morning causing us to go to casa grande. We thought the class was at 4, but that was my confusion. We're almost at the studio, but if you're on a time crunch we can reschedule for another day. If you still want to do it today, we will need about 25 mins to set up. Let me know what works for you. Me: Still going to do it. A couple of us are on a time crunch, but we're going to do it. However, I'd like a discount now. Please text when you're set up. We're all waiting in a car in the parking lot. Her: Unfortunately we won't be able to make it in time for the class, so I'm going to have to cancel it. We will have remain closed for today due to my family emergency. I'll refund your deposit, thank you for your time and sorry for the inconvenience. I hope you understand I have a few urgent matters to take care of today. Me: How soon am I going to get the refund? Her: You should receive it within the next 48 hours. If you do not, let me know. Thank you. I would've considered rescheduling when she owned up to her scheduling mistake. Clearly, she didn't read our emails and scheduled it wrong. Okay, fine. But when I say we still want to do the activity and ask for a discount, all of a sudden there's a "family emergency" and she has to cancel--WHEN SHE'S THE ONE WHO ASKED IF WE STILL WANTED TO DO IT? I call bullshit. When me and my other friend talked to her, there was no mention of a family emergency. Which makes me think if my session really had been scheduled for 4pm, it would've been fine. Maybe. Or she still might've cancelled without notifying me beforehand. Sorry for the inconvenience? It truly was. It was inconvenient for one of my friends who was coming from Litchfield Park. It was inconvenient for another friend who's a Southwest Airlines flight attendant and had to practically jump through hoops to change her schedule to a later shift so she could participate. And it was inconvenient because we all showed up--and stood there in the fucking hot sun at her studio--trying to figure out what the hell happened. I appreciate the refund of my deposit, but my first impression of this local business was my last impression. I don't plan on rescheduling and actually found a better place to try out in Tempe in the near future.

It was not overwhelming with the materials or hardware because Kiss and her partner, Andres were there to help with any mishaps or questions. The selection of colors are always stocked and prepped for you so it's not a concern to decipher how it going to look in color or shape. They also put your design on a canvas before you start so that the process is easier to manage and one less step. On another note, I have won a Instagram giveaway for following, liking posts, and reposting on my story to help support small businesses and I was a lucky winner. I have bought so many rugs that I have to store some away for the holidays to have spare room on my walls. I am just obsessed with this place that I want to take my partner there all the time. While our early experience was positive, everything changed once he entered the toddler room. My son came home more than once with unexplained injuries. I picked him up once and discovered his mouth was bloody. I asked what happened, his teacher said, "I have no idea what happened." That answer was not only dismissive--it was alarming. He also had two separate incident reports for falling off classroom furniture--once from a table and another time from a chair. My question is this: if a teacher is truly supervising toddlers, how on earth is a child able to climb onto a table, stand long enough to fall, and get hurt--all without anyone noticing or stopping it? Toddlers are quick, yes, but that's exactly why supervision matters. Not long after, I personally witnessed a toddler teacher at Estrella KinderCare physically pushed a child down, causing him to fall and cry. The moment I saw that, I could not help but wonder if this was how my own son's injuries had occurred. It's one thing to get an "accident report." It's another to see with your own eyes how a teacher treats the children in their care. I immediately reported the incident to the director, Josie. She seemed concerned and assured me the teacher had been placed on leave pending an investigation. I wanted to believe her. But the very next day, when I arrived to pick up my son, that same teacher was in the toddler classroom--chatting and laughing with other staff. When I asked why she was there, I was told she was just picking up her own child. But here's the issue: if a teacher is supposedly on leave for pushing a toddler, why is she being allowed back into the classroom, interacting with the same kids? To me, that looked less like accountability and more like damage control. I have walked into the toddler room and seen teachers with their backs turned to the children while using their cell phones/the classroom iPads. As an educator myself, I cannot overstate how unacceptable that is. I am responsible for a classroom of children every day. I know what proper supervision looks like, and I know what negligence looks like. What I saw at KinderCare was negligence. At that point, my trust is gone. I unenrolled my son immediately. If you have a child in the toddler room at Estrella KinderCare, please be mindful of what's happening. Aggressive behavior toward children should never be tolerated, and yet here, it was brushed aside. What's worse is that the staff culture seems more interested in protecting each other than protecting the children. After pulling my son out, I decided to dig deeper. I looked up reports from the Arizona Department of Health Services regarding Estrella KinderCare. What I found shocked me--but it also, sadly, didn't surprise me. This center had already been cited for poor supervision of children by teachers and for excessive incident reports. These are the exact issues my son continued to experience almost a full year after those citations were issued. In other words, nothing had changed. The problems were documented, known, and ongoing. I'll be attaching screenshots of these reports in my review so other parents can see them as well. I gave Estrella KinderCare the benefit of the doubt too many times, and my son paid the price. Please, if you are considering sending your child here: don't. It's not worth the risk. There are caring teachers in this world, but the culture of this particular center feels broken and unsafe. BUT Please look into this school and their entire staff before enrolling your child. Unfortunately not all the staff members have the best interest in the children they care for and they focus on tearing other teachers down and spreading lies. I would think twice about placing my child in the care of TATUM because she focuses on herself and the position she couldn't earn on her own than the care of the children she already had in her class. If the staff can reward such nasty behavior, what else are they covering up ? A teacher was accused of mistreating a child and she is still employed at this school. The students all looked occupied and kept the space clean. the teachers were doing hands-on work and were very nice. Rey was AMAZING! She really heard what I wanted my haircut to be and took extra care from the wash to the final product. She wasn't too talkative, but did answer all my questions and made me feel relaxed. She was focused and seemed to care. I enjoyed my service and the ease! Thank you Rey! I hope others will give student learning services a chance, it's great for them and even better for your wallet! She always answered my questions and was great at educating. It was specifically financial aid and students whom were the reason i dropped this school. The girls in this school are absolutely draining, every single day there was drama (which was expected in a school of 99% girls) but it wasn't just the students, the teachers, the staff- literally everyone always having drama to talk about. And coming from someone who had a bad high school experience, it just felt like i was back except it was women of all ages. Trying to stay motivated to come to school was a struggle when i hear all the other girls complaining and whinnying about coming to a school THEY signed up for. They were never pleased with anything. Any activities the staff wanted to do (although were never coordinated correctly EVER) the students just complain. I also joined October of 2025 , my first day was i guess mid way semester and was most confusing as ever. no one told me what to do, where anything was, where to go. there was no guidance from anyone and it was exhausting having to ask where everything was every 5 minutes. no one told me about procedure cards, remaking paper or physical tests or other side work until i picked up on it about a month in and had to ask myself. Finally, when i had enough of this i dropped January of this year, i went through about 5 different people just to figure out who i could get dropped through. explained to why to all of them (til this day had no clue why i had to do that) then finally reached "Financial Aid" Katie. she told me about the fees and what so, i agreed. Obviously still had to pay them some amount of money but i was not expecting to pay them almost $4K for the 4 months i came to class. This was not the cherry on top. I look into my fafsa account and see I owe TSAOB $2k ON TOP of the $4k. Me and my mom are panicking thinking they are trying to take even more money from us, not putting the $4k into the system. I try calling the school, no one answers. I text Katie asking for a email copy of receipt, (image 1) she leaves me on seen. mind you i just left her office that day. I keep trying to call the company, the school but im not getting answers from anyone for about a week. I call their office they say Katie will get back to me in the next day, two weeks go by i call again, they say she will get back to me, another week goes by. I decided to go TO the school with my mom. We have a short discussion with katie and she offers to have a "phone call"??. We obviously say no because this is an in person discussion. She says she will email my ledger and text me to set an appointment. going onto (image 2) I once again have to message this lady because me and my mom are stressing thinking they stole our money. Ms.Katie does not send my ledger till later that week and ONLY sent it because my mom called the office and told her to get back in touch or else we would go above them. At last me and my mom can compare documents JUST TO FIND OUT they were not stealing money. Katie offered to set an appointment and to this day has still not responded. This school worried me and my mother for three months thinking they just wanted more money. If only Ms.Katie had sent me my recipes the first time we asked none of this stress would've happened. Knight Academy sent me my 2020 tax information showing at the end of the year I had a negative balance of -280.00. When I emailed back to ask if I was owed a refund staff emailed back and stated that- they would get back to me the next day. I waited a few weeks figuring they were busy. I sent a follow up email and got no response. I gave it a few more days then when I tried to call about the issue on a Friday afternoon my call went to voicemail. 7 times. It is VERY strange for a daycare to not answer in the middle of a Friday so that's when I realized they were avoiding me. After blocking my number I was able to get a hold of someone who told me to contact the director. I tried to email director for a simple question of "Am I owed a refund or not?" and it bounced back which has never happened to my emails to them before. Based off all this I would not recommend this company to anyone I know.
