If I could give JDog Junk Removal 6 stars, I would! Ian and…read moreLatchman came to my rescue when I needed help with stuff that needed to go to the dump, including old windows, ruined rugs, broken recycling bins and a heavy old wooden door that I had trouble lifting. I decided to give JDog a try after I read a glowing review of the company in the local newspaper. My experience went so well that now I'm the one posting the glowing review. The thing about JDog is that it employs veterans. I strongly believe in hiring veterans because I'm so grateful for their service to our country. The team arrived early. They were polite, nice and very strong. They made quick work of the project. They came in a very large truck. My stuff filled up about a quarter of the truck. I thought the price that I was charged was very reasonable for the amazing work they did. What surprised me was my reaction as they prepared to leave. I was so overjoyed, I think I must have looked like one of those happy customers in the commercials.

Seriously, though, the service was exceptional from beginning to end..there was a misunderstanding that resulted in the dumpster being left longer than contracted for, and the owner handled the situation immediately, by eliminating the overage charges that had incurred. Fast forward to a couple days prior to the move, I texted and no response. Texted again the next day to try to get confirmation they were going to show up and again no response. Texted from a different phone number pretending to get a quote and what do you know, he texts back. Thank god they actually showed up, albeit 15 minutes late. I will say they were polite and put our stuff where we told them. However, they damaged TWO of our dressers (took an entire corner off both) and didn't reimburse for either of them. Didn't give a discount, just apologized and charged the full price. Each one of the dressers cost $300.

Not a man of his word... he told me to call him when I was ready to pick up the load, however, he pulled the dumpster I rented for $400, two days prior to the week's rental timeline and didn't even give me the courtesy to let me know. When I called him to tell him that I was surprised that the dumpster was removed early and for clarification on what happened, he didn't even remotely apologize He also lied and said he picked it up on Thursday and said he gave me some "additional days". Thanks to cameras on my home.. he can be held accountable. He had an appalling attitude upon delivering the dumpster as well. I will not be using Affordable Dumpsters services again and I highly suggest you don't as well. Spread the word. I certainly know I will. He is one deep and that alone is telling. He does this job by himself at the age of 65 or so and crying that he doesn't have help. I can see why. I am surprised this didn't draw a red flag earlier for me. But you know now.. you have been warned. He behaves very entitled, privileged and narcissistic. And although I am only one of maybe 10 reviews on this site, I would highly recommend you consider another dumpster company when in need. Don't put yourself through this.
