When it started, he personally instructed his students to roll with us, which was really cool. Usually, we have to find partners for ourselves, which can be a bit awkward. Everyone was really nice. Everyone taught us something new. There were a lot of high belts. Never seen so many brown and black belts for an open mat. They were the majority. Usually, you will be lucky to find a few. The facility looks like it was renovated recently and looked very clean and nice. The bathrooms were nice with showers and lockers. They had a water filling station, which was especially awesome. Best of all, we met someone from a previous open mat that goes here. Small world! Definitely recommend if you are in the area and looking for a solid place to train.

I've seen my wrestling improve more in the few months I've gone here than any other time or place I've trained. As an adult, it's hard to find places where you can train wrestling consistently and also make significant improvements and here I've experienced both. But there's more to it than just that: 1. Hygiene- they have and implement the highest level of standards to ensure we remain healthy and don't get skin and other infections. I've never seen a gym that implements this so well. 2. Community - they welcome everyone and you can see that they are developing a strong community here. From my first visit, I was impressed by the level of customer service and kindness from the owners and staff. This hasn't changed at all and the level of service is always excellent. 3. Superior training- as someone who trains others for a living, I admire the high level training experience here. 4.
