That being said, they carry a wide variety of items that I've needed in the past. The staff is friendly, but not pushy or bothersum. They have the best and cheapest bird seed around and they have a great area that fixes your chainsaws. This past year I was having a problem with moles and the regular traps weren't doing the job.....Charlie's had in a new trap that worked great! If I have the the time, this is the hardware store I use in Wentzville.

They are a Stahl dealer and when my husband wanted a leaf blower and a weed eater for his birthday (insert joke about how old we are here) this was the top of my list to shop at! The entire staff knows so much more than some hourly employee at a big box retailer shop! They not only took their time and showed him how to use it and ways to keep it running longer- they made us feel good about the purchase. I was so happy wandering the isles and seeing so many useful tools and items for our home projects we bought some paint for our doors too! I really love this place and I could happily spend hours wandering the isles of this store looking at the wall of springs (yes! It's so cool!) and looking at all the amazing parts that are unique to this store! My first time buying from this company. I ordered the Bushel and Berry Raspberry Shortcake variety…read moreof Raspberry for my container garden while they were having a sale for free shipping. I was thinking it would be a bit bigger than expected, but honestly that's not the problem. The box arrived badly damaged, and for some reason they triple boxed it and placed the plant inside the second box on the inside. Both the outside box and inside box were badly damaged, the tiny box that held the raspberry plant was badly damaged. The plant is damaged and had yellowing/black leaves that were dead. I cut off some of the dead/dying leaves, and left the plant inside and contacted the company immediately. I do hope that the plant continues to thrive as I will be trying to save it. They also wrapped the plant pot in plastic to keep it from spilling, which was nice.
