I have always been happy with the care provided by our physician Dr. Naqvi and like that they use MyChart. Dr. Naqvi is very attentive and always is there for us. The problem I have is with the office staff and how the office is run. Unfortunately, this can make or break a practice. When you are dealing with kids and more specifically babies you would think there would be compassion. I have seen other mothers been turned away from their appointments due to being late past the 15 minute grace period and I experienced it yesterday. The first time I saw it happen a mom of 4 was turned away because she forgot her son's medication and had to make an extra stop. She had driven from south county for the appointment. I felt so bad for her but wanted to mind my own business. The office staff is very cold and should not be working at a pediatrician office. I will say a majority of the nurses here are really sweet and caring. Yesterday I drove from our new home 45 minutes for my appointment. I wanted to keep coming to this office because I have been happy with their care. We arrived right at the 15 minute grace period and were turned away in a very rude manner. My daughter was scheduled for her 4 month well visit and vaccinations. I feel they put her at risk by turning her away and was very upset. I understand having policies and procedures but there needs role a level of care/understanding when dealing with children. Whoever runs this office needs to reconsider their approach. They wanted to rebook me for the next day and I told them I will be switching my daughter to a new provider. I refuse to be treated this way when motherhood is already hard enough. I want the best for my babies and this environment is very sterile. I have been a big Hoag advocate but I see why others are not happy with their care.

My husband had stage 4 prostate cancer that had metastasized to his bones, and he was going downhill before our eyes. He had done 2 types of radiation and some powerful drugs, but the cancer came back stronger and further, and at this stage, conventional medicine could not offer him much. We heard about Dr. Nezami, went for an interview with him, and decided to give his treatments a try. Dr. ran some tests that gave him information on how to best treat my husband's cancer, and then my husband started the treatments. In just a few short weeks, the cancer had gone out of his bones and prostate, and his PSA reading was non-detectable. He felt 100% better, and life had come back into him - his health was flourishing! Needless to say, we were utterly relieved, amazed, and ecstatic. This was 4 years ago. He is still on the treatments, but needs them only every few weeks to maintain his victory. He never feels sick from the treatments as they are non-toxic and consist of healthy components that build the body up to effectively fight the cancer. These treatments have saved my husband's life and it gives me great joy to see him not suffering anymore, and to have the cancer cloud be moved off of his/our lives. At 67, he is working, playing music, and enjoying life. If you are feeling hopeless, have latter stage cancer or have another serious disease, I really encourage you to at least talk with Dr. Nezami. Your life, and/or your quality of life, may depend on it.

This was my first colonoscopy at prime surgical center of Newport Beach. And if somebody told me…read moreI'd be writing a review about my colonoscopy I probably would've laughed but I ain't laughing now! My concierge primary care physician and gastroenterologist, the amazing Dr. Angie Sadeghi (whom I affectionately call Dr. Angie), recommended this facility. She's the kind of doctor who makes you feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. When she suggested Prime, I trusted her implicitly. Let's be real: nobody eagerly looks forward to a colonoscopy, especially that dreaded prep the night before. But walking into this place felt like arriving at the Dana Point Ritz-Carlton rather than a surgical center. The exterior is impeccably landscaped, pristine, contemporary, and new--pulling up at 6:30 a.m. already set a tone of calm luxury. Inside, the young receptionist greeted me with such genuine warmth and personable energy that you could tell she truly loves her work and the team she's part of. That kind of authentic joy at dawn? Rare and refreshing. From the prep nurse, attending nurse, technician and to the recovery team, every single person I encountered radiated the same vibe: true camaraderie, light-hearted banter, and a palpable sense of friendship among the staff. They were kidding with each other in the best way, clearly happy to be there--it's like the whole place runs on mutual respect and real connection. As a lifetime Titanium Marriott Rewards member and big fan of the W Hotels, I can say this without hesitation: prime surgical center of Newport Beach is like the W Hotel of surgical centers--boutique, elevated, and effortlessly sophisticated. The waiting area for my son was comfortable and thoughtfully appointed (complete with amenities and that hilarious sign: "This food isn't for you"--had me chuckling even pre-procedure). The fashionable seashell drapes in the prep stalls? A far cry from the usual sterile mint-green hospital curtains--I actually complimented them out loud. And the gowns? Surprisingly comfortable, high-end quality. I half-jokingly asked if I could take one home. The procedure itself? Seamless. Dr. Angie stopped by beforehand to reassure me personally, spent a few minutes with my son in the waiting area (talk about going above and beyond), and everything went exactly as she promised. Once they wheeled me in, I have zero memory until gently waking up in recovery feeling like I'd had the best eight-hour sleep of my life--no grogginess, just refreshed. I chose to schedule this on my birthday--yes, my friends and family thought I was certifiably insane--but I told them: it's like celebrating at the Ritz-Carlton, minus the champagne and caviar (though the care was that luxurious). In matters of health and wellness, I refuse to compromise. It's the one area where counting pennies feels like false economy. Money is what we spend; value is what we receive--and this experience delivered tenfold. Remarkably, the cost was half of what I've paid for similar procedures on the East Coast, yet the quality of care and environment was exponentially superior. Why settle for less when you can have this? If you're facing a procedure and have the privilege of choosing, do yourself a favor: go where you're treated like family, with expertise wrapped in genuine warmth. Thank you, Dr. Angie and the entire prime surgical center team--you turned what could have been a mundane (or worse) experience into something almost spiritual: a reminder that when we invest in our well-being with intention, the universe meets us with grace. Highly recommend. Truly.
