I felt compelled to leave this quick review for the folks from KC power clean as I was extremely satisfied with the service. They are extremely responsive and their pricing competitive and the work done was five star. The thing that attracted me the most about the company is the hard working provider and the work ethic. I have a driveway that was suffering from a variety of different challenges and that I had a number of layers of concrete paint that was attached to some pavers that more than likely was not sealed properly. This causing the concrete paint to bubble and peel back. The company came out and did a thorough sandblasting of the area opening up the pores to the pavers, allowing the process to be continued. I opted in to have the concrete pavers sealed, and as a lack of my knowledge in this industry, I opted for a waterbase seal, also known as a deep penetrating seal to be completed. Ultimately, that was not the correct choice and was a learning opportunity for me. I wanted the natural color of all of the stone to come out and as it dried, it was a bit flat and looked like concrete. Understanding this was the first round in the learning process, I called back expressing my concern/request. I was met with a very positive and solutions based conversation that ultimately gave me the correct options and the solution that was needed. Ultimately, I decided to have them come back out and do an acrylic seal which creates the opportunity for the natural color of the stone to come out. The team works well together and communicates with their clients in a rapid and attentive manner. I highly recommend giving them a try. Their pricing is competitive, and while the discussion around the second round of sealer was based off of my lack of knowledge here they did work with me on the price and made it possible for me to afford the final product. I had completed five searches for this project. It's been a long time coming. I actually thought the public sidewalk should require a Public Works job - but decided to handle it myself. Prices ranged from $200 to $650. We went with mid-range and elected to charge verses use cash; they did not pass along the vendor fee to me. I realize most desire cash these days. I secured KC Power as I was impressed with their estimate and onboarding process. I agreed on a time, scheduled the call on Tuesday (placed a 10% deposit) and the very next day, they arrived timely at 12:30 pm after receiving a window text 30 minutes prior. I met with Nat. She was straight business. She assessed the landscape and got right to work. She initially sprayed the areas with a detergent (allowed it to sit) then began to utilize the rotary surface cleaner machine. She was so very meticulous that she reminded me of myself. She covered every square inch that required attention - and then went over those same areas just to make sure she didn't miss a spot. Just when I thought she was done, she whipped out the pressurized spray gun and went to bat. I honestly haven't seen anyone work so hard on my property. She was through in about 2 hours time. We surveyed her work together and I was/am and will remain throughly impressed with her work. We completed the invoice by phone; to include an electronic signature. I was referred to KC Power Clean by my insurance agent. My homeowners policy would not be renewed unless I had my roof cleaned. Contacted them and was given a quote by sales rep (Jacob). Honestly could have done without the hard sell. The price kept dropping the more I tried to get off the phone. Ended up at a price ~60% of his opening quote. Felt pretty slimy to be honest, like I was trying to buy a car or something. I got off the phone because I had to go to the dentist and was told I would be sent a quote with a link to pay the deposit. While I was at the dentist, I got 2 more phone calls and 2 more text messages hammering me to pay the deposit to schedule the job. I have a feeling the sales reps are paid on commission and they were trying super hard to close the sale. But was pretty distracting while I was trying to get my teeth fixed. Anyhow, I paid the deposit and Steven showed up as scheduled to power wash my roof. He did a great job and was done in 5 hours. No complaints on the work done. We had to get our roof cleaned for moss / algae growth, and KC Power Clean did a great job! I sent a message through Yelp and got a response in less than 10 minutes, and an estimator called me half an hour later. They provided a very reasonable quote, much better than other places. The process was very quick and easy--they sent over an estimate, you pay the 10% deposit, and scheduled their guys to come out 3 days later. The roof cleaning itself took about 3 hours, and they also cleaned up all the dirt and debris from around the house afterward. Punctual and affordable; Have a 10yr old 50 year "Presidential's" shingle roof in Huntington Beach. The north shadow side had extensive algae streaked and dulled the coloring so needed power washing. The roof now has the vibrant multi-colors like it was just installed... Also had them power wash the northside brickwork and the east and west cinderblock walls that had some dark algae and those areas also came out like new. Tech was very conscientious and certainly expert at what he did. (Pardon I don't recall his name..) This is a licensed and Worker's Comp. insured company and their truck was branded. Found them from them power washing my neighbor's slate roof again on the north side that had a bunch of algae streaking. That roof now is vibrant and in like new condition. read more

We hired KC Power Clean for sandblasting, pressure washing and staining of all around hardscape, driveway, walkways, pool deck and pool rocks. Although the 3 stars is an overall rating, let me breakdown the process: The Crew = 5 starts, I would give them a 10 if I could. They were a father and son team Louis and Louis Junior worked very hard, showed up as scheduled with no issues. Staining = Although the final look is great, the longevity remains to be seen. I was sold on the Westcoat system, that was the main reason for choosing this company over other bids. After everything was done I came across the Spec sheet with details on how to apply this 2 step system. The primer should not be left to dry more than 4 hours at 70 degrees, and if left more than 6 hours it should be re-applied before adding the top coat/stain, all the surfaces were primed and left to dry over 24 hours before they went back and added the stain to it, in a traditional sense that may make sense to prime, let it dry and then add the stain color but not for this epoxy primer system, the epoxy primer needs to be almost wet to the touch according to the manufacturer, and I did call and confirm this with the manufacturer that this step is a requirement of the system. I also found out that KC Power clean is not on their qualified applicators list of contractors which if I had known, I wouldn't have moved forward with this contract. I still paid my full invoice because they weren't going to do anything about it, and they give zero warranty on their jobs. Although any contractor can purchase this product from Westcoat, apparently they may not all follow the proper way of applying the system unless they get the training from Westcoat and become a qualified applicator. Sandblasting = great job on the blasting. The big issue was both Mike that came out to give the estimate and Daniel that worked on the estimate with me both assured me that I would not have to empty my pool, me not being familiar with the process of sandblasting took their word for it, once the crew came out to start I was told it's impossible to do the sandblasting with the water in the pool, which then added the cost of refilling a big pool, reconditioning, and re-cleaning the filter all that I didn't account for in my budgeting. The crew was right, after seeing the hundreds of pounds of blasting material fall into the pool. I have to agree that the job would have been impossible to do with the water left in the pool, you would think that experienced people giving bids would know that, I should've been informed in advance instead of being taking for a ride and I could have accounted for the cleaning, refilling and conditioning in my budgeting. First of all, this was an interior job, which most sandblaster won't even tough. One call to KC and they were on it. Sent them a photo and they sent me an estimate. No problem: Sandblasting is a LOT of work, especially interior jobs, because they're messy and dusty. That's why Nat and Ysidro (both very considerate and pro) took a few HOURS to prep the job, making sure the entire area was contained. The next two hours or so were devoted to blasting the bricks back to their natural color, which was tricky, because as the photos show, they'd been covered with both oil and latex paints for at least 25 years. The last hour or so was clean up, and that was just as professional and complete. If you find (as I did) that stripping or grinding just is too big a DIY job, KC is the way to go. No complaints; but lots of kudos. This team knows what they're doing. You won't go wrong here. read more
