If I didn't seek another dentist, I would've been forced to have my teeth removed. I would also like to thank her for the immense damage to the roots of my two front teeth, I can no longer use these teeth due to the risk of them literally falling out. My current dentists tell me it looks it I was in an "accident" due to the condition of my teeth roots. The only accident was giving this woman her license. The first two we saw each said he needed more work than they could do at their "present" location. The first dentist was kind enough to not charge me for a visit; probably because all she did was suggest to me to take him to someone with more experience. We looked up dentist for kids and found Dr Nicole; she looked at our son, said the SAME EXACT THING as the first dentist; gave him a slushy and us the name of a dentist that could do the work with him sedated. For this "consultation", because we weren't there but 15 minutes, she's trying to bill us $997.74. How does ANY procedure for a child at a dentist office that lasts 15 minutes cost &997.74???? Look out these people either have shady bookkeepers or are shady themselves......‍‍‍ Our dental insurance should have covered the MINIMAL amount we should have been charged; now we have marks against our credit for a thousand dollar consultation.......

Then I thought I should probably review the place because I am really happy with the work they've done for me. This was my reply to her, plus a bit more... "I do not work at a dental office. I first purchased a groupon to North Oak Family Dental Care for zoom whitening. I hadn't had a checkup in a few years so they asked me to have a checkup done before whitening from there or elsewhere. Having moved from California, I did not have an established dentist in KC, so I went to them for my check up and the zoom whitening and I have really had a great experience there. All the ladies in the office are very personable and friendly. Their only drawback is that their office hours are pretty limited. Mon, Wed & Thurs 8-5 and closed on Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun. They have another office, Westwood Dental, which is open Mon-Thurs 7-5, and Fri 9-1. With that being said, I ended up getting a veneer done by them and while I was waiting the two weeks for my permanent to be made, it popped off twice (very common with the type I was having done). Both times, someone came in outside of business hours to rebond it for me at no extra cost and made feel like it was no big deal they came in on their day off I will definitely be going back to them and I now feel great about my smile!." ...I forgot to mention that I went to a lab in KCK to get the color of my teeth matched to create the permanent veneer. I was told this was the best lab in town. At first I was not sure. You go down to a sketchy looking basement to meet with a technician. The facility looks like a high school chemistry lab from the 80's. The woman recorded about 4 different colors she would use to create my porcelain match. She really did do an amazing job! With such a perfect color match, even I forget that I have a veneer.

I was…read moresurprised to find that my child had back cavities after two years of going to this dentist teamb. I had asked that they apply sealants to his teeth at our initial visits and they agreed. It turns out that they did not apply sealants to his back teeth - the very teeth that they claimed had ridges on top that would make them cavity-prone. So now they wanted to drill the cavities. Because the female dentist was not very kind - at all - in responding to my concerns - I asked to speak with Dr. Polina - only to learn that this lady was his wife. That was my last visit to his office. I found an excellent dentist for my child who indicated that he in fact did not need to have cavities filled on his back teeth. Dr. Polina is on the Medicare program - and many children coming to see him may not have the resources to scrutinize and challenge the work done at his office. I would suggest that potential clients look for dentists that have consistent 4 or 5-star ratings.

Been coming here since my child was 2, he's now 5 and recently they wanted to do a root canal on a BABY TOOTH. Instead of subjecting my child to that pain for a tooth that will be falling out soon, we decided to opt for them to extract the tooth instead. Because we didn't want the unnecessary expensive procedure and wanted a more simple more painless one... they decided to let us go from their practice. If this doesn't show how greedy they are.. I'm not sure what else will. If you want you child to be in good hands, and actually cares about their health and wellbeing... you should look somewhere else.

We should have gone with our gut. After booking appointments months in advance for both of our boys we ultimately ended up telling them to cancel our appointments moments before the scheduled time because of their inability to clearly communicate via text or pick up a phone to discuss their required new patient forms that we never received a link to. The chain of events went as follows. I received a text a few days prior to our visit confirming our appointment. I responded back "YES" to confirm as requested. Then I received a text saying that they emailed me a link to the new patient forms. I let them know that I had not received the email and was never responded back to. The morning of our appointments, I received another text stating that they had not received our forms yet. I texted back letting them know that I never received the email again and asked them to call me. I was told that they would call back after they were off the phone. They never returned my call and then gave me attitude when I showed up for our appointments because the forms had not been filled out yet.
