What a great little breakfast spot. We sat outside, the weather was beautiful and the tables outside were great even for our slightly bigger party of 6. We were helped right away, our server was really nice and greeted us with a smile. Most of our table ended up ordering the bacon Benny bowl - it was fantastic, I would definitely order it again. There were so many coffee options! My husband ordered the bananas foster hot and I ordered the Dubai chocolate iced - both were really good. Love the ambience here! Although it can be a busy place, KB's does not disappoint! The food, which consists of their regular menu items plus weekly specials, is excellent. Love the creativity in their specials too (like pecan and peach pancakes with caramel drizzle). Their coffee is great, and they have many flavor additions for your coffee if you'd like. I have been a customer of KB's for many years. Sadly, I've been disappointed lately. After today's meal, I won't be back anytime soon. The place is lovely and the service is friendly and prompt. But breakfast was a big let-down. I had a tomato, mushroom, and spinach omelet with "homies" and decaf coffee. The mushrooms were canned, not fresh, and had no taste. The spinach was a skimpy amount and raw, not even heated by being in the omelet. The tomatoes were cooked just a little which was fine, but the pieces were too big and unwieldy. The potatoes in the homies were not peeled and the peel was not crispy, just soggy and tough. I personally peeled each piece. The potatoes were underdone - some bites were a bit raw in the middle. The peppers and onions were nearly nonexistent. My coffee was at best lukewarm after adding 2 creamers, and quickly sank to room temperature. The prices were higher than most breakfasts in the area. C'mon, KB, you can do much better! read more

I loved KB's!! What a cute little spot!! It's decorated so cute and feels so "homey." We sat outside in the front yard and it was a beautiful day! They had a pretty fountain in the yard and plants/flowers decorating the space. The staff was all extremely nice and accommodating. We ordered coffees to drink, my husband got an iced coffee and the ice cubes were coffee!! Such a smart idea considering regular ice typically waters down the coffee. I ordered the eggs, toast and sausage links with a blueberry pancake on the side. It was delicious!! My husband got some kind of French toast breakfast sandwich and he really enjoyed his as well. Haven't been there for a while, but son and I went for breakfast a week or so ago. Sorry to say the food was less than average. The omelet came about .01 mil thick barely any egg and even less fillings. The price was beyond average dinner prices at most decent restaurants. Everything on the breakfast menu was ala carte and the prices were insanely high. Stay home, make your own and save about $40 on breakfast for two. I was really surprised at KB's Coffeehouse. It's no secret that Dallas, Pennsylvania isn't a foodie town and I was apprehensive to go here since there weren't any pictures or many reviews online. Although, I've been here two times during my trip and I enjoyed the breakfast food a lot. Everyone at my table paid less than $10 and said they enjoyed their meal. I got their ice coffee and was so happy to see they freeze leftover coffee to use as ice cubes. Loved that little touch. The omelet and breakfast sandwich I had was so good and the tomatoes they use are the best I've had. I also loved the waffle they made for me. Super soft yet crunchy. Out of all the restaurants I've been to, I've never been to a place that was set in a house. The different rooms had tables and the setting was so unique. Great place to go to in Dallas! read more

Came here last Sunday for a breakfast/brunch around 11 AM. Place has limited parking and is a house, so pretty small inside, yet cozy and they manage the space well. We had a party of 6 with no reservations but made out well by snagging the private upstairs room, which definitely used to be someone's bedroom but now serves as a gorgeous dining room. All the furniture is really great quality, shiny wood and the hardwood floors inside were well kept. Charming is the best way to describe it. But enough about the décor - the food and service was great. We were a particularly loud group of people and our voices echoed loudly in that small room, but the server never got impatient with us or our requests. The owner (I believe she was the owner, at least) was very congenial and funny and made sure to oversee everything went well and that we were accommodated. We all opted for breakfast platters, although the lunch/brunch side of the menu seemed expansive. First of all, that iced coffee with coffee ice cubes was really good and a nice touch not using regular ice cubes. The eggs were fresh, the sausage links were fantastic and cooked perfectly, the homefries were spot on and that soft, warm rye bread, everyone agreed, was SO amazing. Definitely made on the premises. The French toast was also outstanding - not that thin white bread heavy laden crap you get at diners, I'm talkin' the real deal, cut thick and with large cinnamon swirls to boot. Plus instead of pre-packed butter pads, they had little containers of fresh, whipped butter. I'm gonna be honest, I forget what the other 5 people in my party ordered cause I was hungover and starving and only cared about my own sustenance. But everyone was pleased with their choices (even my mom and aunt, who are often hard to please). I don't recall the prices, but it seemed very affordable for the large portions and great quality of food you get. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be sure to stop by here for a quick breakfast/lunch fix. read more

A long-overdue review for my favorite brunch spot in my hometown (recently having moved away, I make it a point to still come here whenever I'm home). The breakfast is, in a word, perfection. The waffles and pancakes are the best in town, hands down, and they always have super cool sounding specials--but I'm an eggs and potatoes kind of girl, so that's usually what I get. Their breads and croissants especially are phenomenal, so be sure to work one of those into your meal as well. Their coffee is also the best in town, and in addition to their regular blend, they often have a really nice special, seasonal flavor. And of course, the wait staff is the best. Every one has a smile on their face, a kind word, and are super quick to refill coffees. Overall, a little gem that Dallas is lucky to have. This business used to be in a small shop around the corner, they have expanded into this house which they've turned into a small bistro. There is outside seating on the front porch and in the yard around a fire pit. There is a small downstairs dining area and an upstairs dining area too. The menu is very limited but the portions are great. All of the items seem homemade and the breads are warm and awesome. For starts I tried to order a burger and they came back 15 minutes later and told me I couldn't order a burger because they only had one left then I ordered some breakfast and I've been sitting here for an hour and 15 minutes and they haven't even come back to many table to ask if I needed a refill or anything. My food still hasn't come out and I'm getting aggravated. ITS NOT EVEN BUSY! A couple just walked in and was standing for 15 minutes waiting just to be seated. So unlike most coffee houses I review, I didn't actually get to write here as I didn't get out until about 1:00 PM and they close at 2:00 PM. So it is definitely a morning place if you want to work there. Though I was not typing away, I did get the vibe that it would be a good place to work, especially if it was after breakfast and before the lunch rush. I went to KB's Coffeehouse expecting to get an iced coffee. When I arrived I realized they were a sit down cafe only and they offered no flavors for their iced coffee. The woman there was very nice and helpful and offered me an iced coffee with simply cream and sugar. It was fine, but would have been much better had they had flavors as I was expecting. They used coffee ice cubes so that when they melted it would not water down the drink which is an awesome idea. Again my only gripe is that they offer the super cool ice cubes, but do not have flavors for their iced coffee. Their establishment name is just inappropriate and misleading, but I would love to go back to try their breakfast as it appears very yummy. I will just look for a local coffee place elsewhere. read more

If you can cook even the slightest bit at home, you can make a better breakfast than this place. I ordered an omelette and a pancake, both of which were not tasty. The pancake was hard and lukewarm, and my omelette was stuffed with what tasted like canned veggies. The eggs themselves seemed like those egg beaters that come in a carton, not real eggs, which is disappointing. Especially when you're paying $8+ for them. My girlfriend ordered the cinnamon french toast, and that was nothing more than store-bought cinnamon bread heated up. Her sausage also appeared to be a store-bought frozen patty simply heated up in the skillet. I would not recommend eating here, and will not again. read more

KB's has a fantastic environment inside a house and the food has always been excellent (for example they use fresh roasted turkey). They have wi-fi but outlets are not always easy to find.
