This is the best country radio station in the country. There personalities Danny Miller, Tony Michaels, Emily Harlan and Kelly Ford are amazing people. Love this station! read more

This is just a heads up that KBAY changed their format today, 4-5-22. Now they are a country music station. I enjoyed listening to KBAY from time to time but since I'm not a country music fan it looks like I'll be tuning into something else on the Bay Area airwaves. I enjoyed KBAY while it lasted. Note that my four star review is of the prior version of KBAY before the format change today. read more

This new country station in the Bay Area well so far underperformed. I won tickets to the Gilroy Rodeo on a Saturday the 6th of August. I wanted to pick up my tickets and they said they would have someone call me. I call on Monday and leave a voicemail they call me back on Tuesday late afternoon and they say they are only open two days a week for pick up and today was one of them yet they are closed. The lady said she would mail out the hard tickets and I would receive them definitely by Friday since the event was for Sunday. Needless to say, they never arrived and my son was not happy. My son said the music is on why are they not open during the day. I told him obviously it's not a live station like the old KRTY was. You could pick up your tickets 9-5 five days a week their I wonder if they will give another gift pack for something else, since this one was never received. Maybe it's time to just live stream the old country station. So far this is not a good opening for the new country station. Not happy, probably lost a few listeners just because they did not do what they said they would do. Definitely going on all media accounts and saying how this station has definitely underperformed! read more

love this station. too bad I can't get it everywhere. have to download the app I guess

So disappointed. I listened ALL the time to KBay and really enjoyed the Christmas season I will no longer listen to KBay in it's new format as it just is not for me. Hate when stations do this :-( read more

No Fargin' Christmas Music.... Waaayyy late now ..December in less than 3 hours. With all due respect, Fuck the Disappointment. I loved the Christmas music, hitherto, it gave me unutterable, spiritual joys, and relief. Oh well, Bah Humbug read more

The station is getting pretty stale. The station is a 70s and 80s station. Granted they play 70s music, but not 70's rock. Disco and other "light" music. 80's music, again not 80's rock, but the "culture club" and other type of 80's music. The selection of the music that they play is VERY limited and they repeat it over and over again. I only listen to this radio station because it is the only game in town. They would gain a larger audience if they added an occasional 60s song. The only time I really make sure that I listen is in the mornings with the $1,000 minute. Very entertaining and it amazes me on how ignorant the general population is. I also like Bruce Scott's occasional non-politically correct humor. Keep it up! This is a corporate cookie-cutter station, but considering that the other stations play music from decades I do not care about or cater to the bay area immigrant population, I guess that I am kind of stuck with what is left on the FM dial. read more

I will change my review to 5-Stars when you no longer allow your advertisers to blatantly lie and mislead the public on the radio. Specifically, Verengo Solar is running a sham advertising campaign on your station. They claim there is a "Zero-Down Government" solar program. There is no such thing. Also, they claim that the CSI rebate is still available in PG&E Territory. The funding for that program has expired several months ago, so it is a lie to say that they still have it available. Also, they make it sound like the CSI program is going away due to budget constraints, which only shows their (and your) ignorance of the program. It has nothing to do with state budgets, which come out of a different pot of money entirely than the ratepayer-funded CSI money. The CSI Rebate Program ended because it was designed to end after specific installation targets were achieved. We've reached our goals for residential in PG&E territory, so the rebate is no longer available, even to Verengo customers. If they do not change their ad to be honest and accurate, I will no longer listen to your station. On an unrelated note, I'd have to agree with the other yelper that the morning show is kind of annoying. read more

Another one of those bay area adult contemporary / easy listening stations. It's one of the only stations we can get here at the office, and they play hits from the 70s to today. Having grown up in the 70s and 80s, it brings a sense of nostalgia when I hear the "oldies", and I feel "with it" when I hear the latest hits. They also do a lot for the community, so I give them kudos for all they do!! At Christmas time, they play seasonal songs 24/7, which is lots of fun. But hearing the same songs day in and day out can get annoying, but I can never tire of Christmas songs. One of the things I'm not a fan of is Delilah's show. When I'm at work late enough to hear her show, I know it's time to go home. Not only because it's 7:00 pm, but also because the show is bo-o-o-ring and will easily put me to sleep! I also have gripes about hearing a radio personality giving out relationship advice. That should be done in a doctor's office, IMO. Anyway, if it wasn't for that show, my rating would be a solid 4 stars. read more

One of the coolest people on this station is Jona Denz-Hamilton. This gal is everywhere!! She has been around, but she is still pretty hip. KBAY does sponsor a lot of good things around the south bay. I like their music and DJs. They have a lot of good concert tickets to give away. I don't really care for Delilah, as another review mentioned. I want to listen to music, not someone's tear-jerking story about their troubles. At night, I want to relax. If they would get rid of her show, I'd be happier. Sam and Lissa make up for Delilah, so I am giving the full 5 *. read more

Great place to take kids to learn about radio station and how it works. Staff are very friendly and very pleasant personalities. The Cub Scout pack 165 of St. Victors had a wonderful time on their field trip. Thank you KBAY. read more

My family and I stopped by at the K-Bay booth at Christmas in the Park on Sunday, December 13th, 2015 and the two lads manning the booth shared some of the cool Christmas programming that K-Bay is broadcasting over the Christmas Season. The K-Bay Christmas ornament they were giving out is super cool. Yea K-Kay!! read more

KBAY 94.5 FM - K-Bay booth at Christmas in the Park, San Jose on Sunday, December 13, 2015 with two very hip staffers working their booth! - Radio Stations Near Me - San Jose, California

Bruce Scott, Jona Denz-Hamilton, and Kirk are the reliable weekday DJs. Always there, so personable and cool, that KBAY is very deserving of a 5-star rating. Well, as long as you disregard Danny Miller on Saturday mornings. Danny habitually talks until a milli-second before singing begins, basically talking over the instrumentals leading into the vocals. A-L-W-A-Y-S. It's extremely annoying. Whenever possible, listeners want to experience the ENTIRE song without voice-overs. That includes instrumental lead-ins. Listeners do understand that that isn't always doable. But every time? We are there to engage with the songs, not hope the DJ would stop waxing poetic until just before the vocals begin. On behalf of your listeners on Saturday mornings, please cut it out, OK, Danny? Thanks in advance. read more

Unfortunately I awoke to hear Sam and Lissa's last morning show was today! It seemed like it was as much of a surprise for them as it was me. Not sure what happened here but I don't like it. A lack of respect for listeners and staff come to mind. I will not ever listen to KBay again for sure. It has been an honor and a pleasure to awakened to Sam and Lissa for the 12 years they have been together and I can't imagine waking up to anyone else! They will surely be missed! That said, I bid a very sad farewell to Sam, and Lissa and wish them well. Bah Humbug for KBay! I'm outta here. Peace read more

I love Delilah and her caring and personal touch. Great music and crew...everyone of them.

I miss KBAY & the soft rock/adult contemperary format. Yes, We have KOIT & 98.1 The Breeze, but it is still not the same. I do love the format of all the 70's, 80's, & 90's & Bruce Scott who use to be on soft rock stations in Fresno, L.A., & Modesto (I have streamed & listen to those stations when traveling.) I am glad Jona is back & Kerk is pretty good as are they all. The music is wonderful, the 70's you do not hear a lot unless you tune into KFOX or The Breeze & the 80's & 90's which are especially favorites as I grew up in those decades; they bring back memories of those care free days. So, for some great classic hits with wonderful personalities, 945 Bay FM cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys. read more
