Countertop person came over to measure and he informed me that there would be a fee of $150 to get a quote. It was an automatic turn off. No other companies do this. It should have been mentioned before we even booked the appointment. He gave me a ballpark number that was at least 7k to 10k over the company I intend to use. Appointment was a waste of time. Don't recommend you fall for the same thing I did. Look elsewhere

He worked very hard to understand what we wanted and detail everything out, including enlarging our kitchen and reconfiguring our existing skylight. Karlie worked along with my own decorator and patiently helped through the process of choosing cabinets, fine-tuning the layout and interiors, and coordinating services. David L was our lead construction man and he was exceptional in his work ethic and attention to detail. David (and David his helper) went above and beyond to help figure out the details of making our skylight work, designing and building a custom spice cabinet for the back of our pantry door that was better than anything online, patiently hand-setting our tile backsplash into a unique pattern, and taking care of every little thing that popped up along the way, including reworking a drawer to make it larger. They arrived early, worked a full day, and got a lot done each day. Communication was excellent and we were never "stood up" as is so common with contractors, we always knew when they were going to be there. Juan in painting made sure that he took care of everything we needed and checked in with us often. After having stumbled through our prior kitchen remodel, it was such a relief to have someone else coordinating subcontractors and it is clear that they have good working relationships with everyone as we never had to wait very long for a subcontractor to come in. I placed a Martha Stewart solar light sculpture in my shopping cart, then added a twin pack of king size pillows and some sheer drapes. I then proceeded to the decorative pillow section to find some pillows to compliment my new sofa. When I returned to my cart, it was gone. Instead I found my twin pack of pillows and sheer drapes dumped on a table. My cart and solar light sculpture were no where to be found. I asked one of the staff members if they had seen my cart and she replied that someone may have taken it. We then proceeded to search the store and found the culprit with my cart and sculpture. When the staff member questioned her, she replied she found it in a cart. I said, yes, that was my cart and promptly removed it. She apologized but what gives her the right to take someone elses cart and merchandise. Luckily this staff person and I worked quickly to find the thief.

I asked how much for all three boards and they quoted me $41. 61. I'm new to buying wood so I figured that was a normal price. I didn't check the receipt after I'd paid (my fault) and I went home happy and excited to make stuff. It wasn't until a few days later that I found my receipt and saw they'd charged me $416.14 for three boards. These prices are far above the national average for wood and they don't post prices at the rack. Had I bought these boards anywhere else I would have paid far less. An example, I paid $21.60 a linear foot for the walnut. That's about $32.40 a board foot. S2S online is $14.99 a board foot. I paid more than double to have two extra sides surfaces and sanded. My whole purchase should have costed less than $200. I can't speak for the rest of their merchandise, but if you're buying hardwood don't go here. Update: Brisco True Value in AG charges $11.99 a bd ft for walnut, $6.15 for maple, and $7.59 for cherry. My purchase there would have been approximately $171.53 before taxes and fees for the amount I purchased. I will be shopping there from now on.

As 2025 passed and there was no permit, and no start date in sight, and on top of that the contractor was less than trust worthy I approached Fergusons to explain the problem: there was no ADU, there was no permit, certainly not in 2025. Fergusons without hesitation refunded me the total $ amount. We were floored. WHAT customer service, WHAT integrity, WHAT goodness walks the floor of this showroom and the management.
