If you really care about your home,  I would not recommend this organization…read more Short story - The tile installer for our kitchen operated a cutting station, tile saw and mixing station (pictures enclosed) within our dining room without our permission. As a result, our hardwood floors were damaged  Any tile installer worth their salt would never cut tile or mix subsets inside a customer's house due to dust, water spillage and noise. We never gave permission to this organization to use a tile saw in our home. Never. While the opinions of how to fix the floor varied amongst the 8 people I spoke with,  not one of them (including his own staff) agreed with Robert Grain's (owner) remedy. I want to make the point perfectly clear. Initially, my wife and I contacted Parkland Floors for a solution to the problem. Parkland's own retail staff suggested that the floors would either need be sanded or replaced. It was the owner of the company (Robert Grain) who disagreed with his staff. Mr. Grain's solution to the problem was to replace the flooring in only part (part of a room) of what is a very large open concept home. This simply can not work. And while in Mr. Grain's vast experience, tilers don't use water in the immediate area where they are working,  tile installers operate tile saws indoors, new hardwood floor magically starts matching old hardwood floors or any of the other fantasies he told me; I consider myself a realist. It's impossible to replace only a section/room of hardwood flooring in an open concept home without it being noticeable. Obviously there will be a mismatch between the two wood floors. This was one point that all 8 experts I spoke with agreed with; including his own staff. My first meeting with Mr. Grain, he indicated that he would contact my home builder about the version of hardwood I have in my home. This was a lie. He never did this. Mr. Grain's intent all along (as I suspected) was to replace the damaged flooring with retail stock that he felt would closely match my house. Board lengths vary, colours vary, board depths differ, etc etc; this is simply not the right option when you're only replacing part of the floor in a large open concept room. Mr. Grain made the fantastical claim that his tile installers do not use water where they work. The pictures speak for themselves. It should also be noted that Mr. Grain had 2 weeks to reach out to my builder about my wood floors and never did it. This was long before I threatened litigation. Mr. Grain tried to justify his solution by by insinuating that the tradespeople I spoke with were simply trying to make a buck or were trying to sell the most expensive options for repair is unethical in my opinion. I've lived in this province for 8 years, I've had great experiences with the tradespeople who have come to my home and I've never had this kind of experience before. Furthermore, his own staff recommended that the whole floor either be replaced or sanded with board replacements. Every single sub contractor hired by Parkland Floors made errors. The basement floor installers left mortar on my doors and damaged my walls in 2 separate places. The plumber he used to replace our cabinet after the install forgot to tighten the plumbing to our faucet which caused quite a mess when we discovered the mistake. Finally the plumber he used made too many errors to list here. Mr. Grain will respond to this review with words like, "fair," "good faith" etc etc but if Mr. Grain's version of "fair" means that my house is devalued by his staff's errors, that simply will not suffice. One thing was consistent with this organization. Every single (sub) trades crew who came to our house, performed sloppy work. The pictures speak for themselves. EDIT: received notice that my insurance company.  They will be formally holding Parkland Floors accountable for the damage and they will be formally starting a subrogate process against the firm. Beware of this firm.

I highly recommend this company for a stress free renovation…read more I appreciated the detailed written work order which clearly outlined every aspect of the job accompanied by clear financial obligations. They were very accommodating in researching, substituting and installing any additional requests to make the renovation exactly as I envisioned. Each professional connected with the project was on time, courteous, performed quality work and left the work area clean beyond expectations at the end of each day. Overall I'd give this company a 5/5 star rating.

Jason showed up on time, communication was good, he had ideas and samples, the quote was thorough and it all happened in under a month. His team was detail oriented, thorough, professional and they cleaned up after themselves. Our bathroom was gutted, everything was to replaced along with a new fan added and part of our main stack was also replaced - full bathroom renovation. We have no regrets and would recommend them to anyone. The team went above and beyond for us. We felt like they were working with us (not against us like previous contractors), they kept us in the loop with communication and the end result speaks for itself. When we did have questions they were always available to answer them even if it was on the weekend or after work. They made us feel like they cared about our project. We appreciated all the ideas, samples and photos from other jobs that helped us make decisions. Hybrid delivered what they promised - 10/10 would hire them again! Can't believe it's the same bathroom, it feels like a spa.
