ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Elly at Boucher Hyundai of Janesville made the car buying experience…read moreenjoyable and memorable. Yes, "car buying" and "enjoyable" really can co-exist! I recently totaled my 2-year-old SUV in a skirmish with a deer, and one million percent dreaded the thought of car shopping once again. We had purchased a car from Boucher Ford in Janesville 20 years ago and the positive experience stuck with us after all this time. We thought, let's give them another try and are so glad we did! Elly could not have done anything more to make the whole process fun and effortless. She was patient, kind, honest and not pushy in any way. The sales manager and finance guy could take a few lessons from her. The dealership is beautiful, clean and welcoming. Keep up the great work!

YES and that was the first of two consumption tests. The last one was completed on November 30th and registered 1-1/2 quarts low at 1,000 miles. How do you not have record of that? "Let me get you Joe"... "Oh yes, Hyundai wants us to do an oil flush additive procedure". My question was why hasn't anyone gotten back to me in a month, and yes, schedule it. "The warranty on this procedure is 60,000 miles so you'll have to pay for it." That's BS Joe. Schedule me for an oil change and I will take this up with Hyundai myself. Since I am retired maybe I'll just need to park myself outside your dealership and let potential customers know. "OK, we will get your oil change scheduled".

Absolutely awful experience with this dealership. I had my car towed to them in January of 2022…read moreknowing it would take a while until my back ordered part would come in, not to big of a deal. I went to the dealership one random day this summer and noticed I didn't see my car in the parking lot at all; thought to my self maybe its in the shop. called the next open business day and talked to the same person I've been dealing with and was told no they didn't have any cars in the shop at that time and would get back to me on where my car was. Two days passed and I didn't hear anything so I called again and asked. The answer I got was " oh no I havn't had the time to go out and walk the lot to look for it." hmm real professional. After a few more months I finally got a call saying the part came in, cool except for the fact they lost my one and only key. I was then told "Not to big of a deal ill just have to get you two new keys made." After about a week with no calls or info again I called and was told " Oh the service manager has been gone and is coming back soon so I can get this resolved." Then 3 weeks go by and nothing. Finally fed up I called the service manager and He had no idea about my situation and got to the bottom of it...My service advisor called me roughly 30 min later and said he walked over to her desk and found the key almost instantaneously and of course where they had looked numerous times before ......

Several years ago I had a positive experience when I bought a used car for my daughter so I decided to go back when I wanted to get a vehicle for myself. Good selection of very nice vehicles and the process was easy. What made the experience even better was the Sales Person - Joe Zipperer. He is what I wanted in a salesperson - frank, personable, knowledgeable on the vehicles, credible and none of the stereotypical "Used Car Salesperson" pushiness. He got me in a great vehicle and at a fair price. I recommend Gordie Boucher and I highly recommend Joe Zipperer.

UPDATE: Our first visit to Janesville Kia was delightful. We talked about a certain car, took a…read moretest drive, lightly talked about numbers, but ultimately walked away from the deal. After some thinking, my mom decided she wanted to get the car. With the numbers we had discussed (sale price of the Seltos, and the trade-in value for her vehicle), it worked with her budget. And that's where the delight ended. We got back to the dealership and things changed. Oh, the sale price? Not so much - what they post on their website is every possible discount that someone COULD get (but probably won't). My mom isn't a recent grad, nor did she serve in the military or recently lease a KIA, etc. So just like that, the price went up. I asked why that hadn't come up before, and he (surprisingly, honestly) told me that the dealership doesn't wan them to "surprise" customers with that detail until the purchase process has begun. Very predatory... Oh, and the trade-in numbers they were speculating previously? That number dropped by a couple thousand dollars (that number was from the guy who evaluated trade-ins, so it should have been accurate). We were ready to walk after the numbers went south. But, after raising our voices and stating how shady everything was, they came around and got us pretty close to the deal we wanted. Why couldn't we just get there sooner without being sleazy? So, why three stars? For one, they had a nice selection and a clean business. The sales guys were very friendly - unfortunately, they had to play with the rules that upper management handed down to them. So while we got what we wanted, and it was nice (at times), the "sleazy car dealership" vibe reared its head and ruined what could have been a great experience.

They tell us this visit is just to inspect it. Ok, cool. Wait 2hrs. They tell us they switched the ignition to make it safer. Ok, cool. BTW, this new ignition doesn't have the red ring that lights up to see where the key goes in the dark. Bummer, but no big deal, atleast it's "safer". They say the brake lines are rusty and need replaced BUT they have to order them, ok cool! They'll call us when they get delivered to them. We drive the 30min home. A week goes by, they call and we set it up for Monday. I'll take a vacation day off work to deal with it. We drive TWO CARS the 30min. Back out to Janesville. Drop it off, they say it'll be ready in 3-4hrs. Ok, cool! We drive ONE car the 30min. Back home. No more than 45min after we get home, they call "one of the brake lines that got delivered was damaged, come back to get your car and we'll set up a new appt. GREAT!! Kinda weird you don't open the damn box and check the brake lines before telling the customer to come drop their car off. But whatever, incompetence is par for the course these days. They say they'll call when new ones get delivered. A few days later they call. Set up ANOTHER appt. Take more time off work! Drive TWO cars again to Janesville! Drop the car off, drive one car back home, wait 4hrs. Kia's ready! Drive Back out to Janesville, pick up Kia, immediately notice the brake lines don't feel right, pedal goes all the way to the floor and there's a poof of air with every compression of the pedal. Drive it home thinking the lines just need to adjust being used, but NO. Problem persists! Clearly they didn't bleed the brakes properly! Call them as soon as we get home, make ANOTHER appt. To go BACK OUT TO JANESVILLE!! Trip number FOUR! They say bolts were loose etc...etc...No apologies, No compensation for the almost $100 in combined gas cost or all the miles we had to put on our cars, or our time, or the fact this caused us to miss a family members funeral!! and guess what!?!? The Brake lines are still screwed up!!!! I wouldn't trust these guys to run a F**kin lemonade stand!! The epitome of incompetence and low moral I.Q.!! Avoid this dump at all costs!!

EDIT TO UPDATE: After posting my reviews, the Service Manager called to apologize for my bad…read moreexperience. To help make it right, she's refunding the price difference to make it what I had expected & they are installing the shield for no charge when I receive it on Monday. That's really the best I could hope for in a response & I commend her for reaching out to see how they could make it a better experience. Two thumbs up on her prompt response and sincere effort to make the customer happy. 1. I scheduled the 10k service for my 2025 Sentra. It was supposed to be about $85 to change the oil, rotate the tires, and do the multi-point check & they sent me a $10 off email. 2. I check in and the guy gave me a price of over $100. I said it was only supposed to be around $85. He said I couldn't get the oil change/tire rotation service package if I used the $10 coupon. So I said fine... don't use the coupon then. And he says that'll be $95 + tax. Ok... whatever... close enough. Maybe I misread the price and it was $95 instead of $85. 3. Dude comes out and says I'm missing a plastic shield on the undercarriage and he can order it for $410. Ummm... no. I ordered it online for $51 while he was getting my paperwork for the oil/tires. He didn't even have the decency to look embarrassed when I told him this. 4. I paid and left & then realized I still paid $112 for the oil change and tire rotation. My bad for allowing my annoyance about the $400 to cause me to not pay attention at final checkout.

Although the dealer tries to upsell , rustproofing and asked if we were interested in a used car, we left with the new car we had targeted at a decent price. We didn't get the exact price provided on line but close enough. I'd look for Brandon as he was patient with our family dynamic and got the deal done. Not a five based on manager interaction and his involvement. He seemed to me to be a throwback to past times of slick untrustworthy sales people.
