Originally I called him last month to regrout outdoor stairs tile. In the course of removing the…read moregrout , he said that the underlayment was water damaged and he removed 5 treads of tile to explore and possibly replace the undergarment. It was water damaged, and the risers and the treads had to be replaced. However, he "doesn't do wood "so I had to engage someone else to replace the plywood on the risers and the treads, which I did. He returned and we went jointly to Dahl tile to have me buy some Triton water board and some red guard for waterproofing. He wanted me to use a Schluter metal edge guard as opposed to replicating the original 45° mitered edge where the riser tile and the tread tile come together in a grouted joint. That design change ( which is easier on the installer) would result in a metal half inch rim /strip running across the top of all the stairs risers . I have quite a bit of this tile inside and outside my house and it's all done in that tile edge to tile edge fashion without an intervening and visible metal strip He said he's unable to adjust his tile saw to that 45 degree angle and was not gonna be able to apply the tile in the original angled edge to angled edge configuration withOUT the Schluter edge. I asked him why he's telling me after he had removed the tile and a visit to the Dahl tile that he could not install the tile in the original configuration . He became annoyed and agitated and essentially walked off from the job site at 10am with the removed tile and 5 buckets of trash and a stack of unused triton board that I had paid for (that he did not fully install ) .,,,, just sitting there on my patio I never heard from him again. I never had anybody walk off a job site like that , especially after getting that deep into the job. Maybe he is good with grout repair ... Doubt I will ever know .

I waited a few weeks and tried again and finally got in touch with Manuel at Stone Polish. We settled on a date and I confirmed the day earlier to make sure he was still coming. He messaged me back quickly and the next day he showed up 20 minutes early. We discussed the situation and the process for repairing the granite behind the sink. About two hours later he was finished. It's significantly better than what it was. There were a number of granite chunks and pieces that were loose plus, some of the metal reinforcement was so bad, it had disintegrated. Manuel reused some of the larger pieces and used epoxy to blend in some of the other areas. All in all, we're very happy with the outcome. Manuel was very personable and I wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

The tools Eric used have gouged my tiles to the point that I am now having to file a claim against his insurance for the damages. The whole shower has to be re-tiled and the shower glass removed and replaced. Estimate is upwards of 15k in damages plus loss of use of this shower for who knows how long. Eric should have known better than to upsell me on the full regrout if he was not confident in his work.

I didn't even really notice the pet odor until Jeff took care of it and it wasn't there anymore! He did a deep clean and also got out all of the stains (despite my prior attempts at removing them). It didn't take long at all. He took care to dry the carpet as much as possible, and gave good advice on future stain removal. The tile in one bathroom was discolored, and he said it could be cleaned and sealed, and we needed tile flooring in our other bathroom replaced. Randy was friendly and approachable, and I planned to see how the smaller project went before hiring him for the larger project we needed tackled. Unfortunately, the experience was awful. A subcontractor/employee showed up on the agreed date to clean and seal the tile, and spent a couple of hours what sounded like physically scraping the tile - not what I expected. His coworker showed up a couple hours later, and told me that this plan was not going to work - that even if they could get the tile clean and seal it, the staining would come right back. He told me to have them leave, because Randy would still charge me for them being there. I went in the bathroom after they left, and it literally looked no different except there was dust everywhere - they did not clean up. I waited for a follow-up call or email from Randy - nothing. I was mad, but decided to put it behind me. A week later, I received a bill. I wrote a very frank email to Randy explaining my disappointment with the workers sent, the fact that no work was even done, and my confusion that he didn't even bother contacting me afterward. He apologized profusely and said he would follow up with me the next day. He did not follow up with me about the work, ever. But I have still been getting bills from this company!! I have emailed him multiple times, and he's told me to ignore them, but that is not an acceptable response - every time I see one of these emails, I am newly angry about the time I wasted on this endeavor. I gave him plenty of time and opportunity to make this right, and he did not even bother to try. I am writing this review because once again, I have gotten an invoice for this "work". Would not recommend.
