"Although I only charge $1500, I treat all my cases like a $10,000 case." Mr. Jonathan Kaye said these words to me the day we met at the courthouse in 2017. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical as all other DWI attorneys in my area charged a minimum of $5,000 retainer fee. As a first time offender, one could only imagine the fear I was experiencing. During my arrest, I blew high enough to be convicted of a felony. However, that was not the case thanks to Mr. Kaye. As a former ADA, he knew exactly what to do and what to say to get my charges reduced to almost nothing. I mean, I was facing up to a year in prison. Working his magic, he was able to get the DA to reduce my charges to a misdemeanor.

There were malfunctions with the device (it was eventually replaced by a functional device). I remember calling him crying because I kept getting violations. Mr. Kaye calmed me down and assured me that everything was going to be okay. Even after my case was over, Mr. Kaye still made himself available to me (at no extra charge) as I still had questions about the Interlock Device. He was able to speak with the DA and remarkably somehow convinced the DA not to proceed with additional charges. Thanks to Mr. Kaye, I am now eligible to have my IDD removed at the anniversary date of installation. I don't have to face the judge for a new charge and I do not have to have the device removed at a later date due to the violations reported to the Monitoring Agency.
